[list][*][i]Traveling[/i] - Kian spent a lot of time when he was younger seeing every corner of the world he could. Since he’s taken up teaching he has had to cut back on that travel but does go away for a few weeks every summer. He rarely goes back to the same locations and likes to find small out of the way places where he can learn about something he’s completely unfamiliar with. It does also give him new and interesting perspective on the world and how things should work.

[*][i]Reading[/i] - Being a Bookworm might be an understatement. Kian has books on almost every surface in his house and his office. There’s no rhyme or reason to the subject matter either just whatever looked interesting at the time. Often he’ll pick them up from thrift stores just because he likes how the cover looks and thinks it would look nice in his home. He has read almost every book he owns though and usually spends at least an hour or two in the evening reading. [/list]

[list][*][b]"Blood is thicker than water"[/b] [i]Family Man[/i] -- There isn’t anything more important to Kian than his family. His father has passed on so he visits his mother regularly. His parents taught him that you are always there for your family no matter what and you should respect them and cherish them. To Kian ‘family’ isn’t always blood either. He has a small handful of friends who he considers his family and whom he’d do anything for.

[*][b]"Novels for 1000 Alex"[/b] [i]Intelligent[/i] -- Kian is well known for being extremely intelligent about a variety of subjects. He was a very good student and still likes to learn everything he can. He’s of the opinion that you should never stop learning and sticks to that. He hasn’t mastered any particular subjects but has a decent knowledge base about most things. The closest he comes to ‘mastery’ is his biomedical doctorate (the reason he teaches) but even then he’d be the first to admit his knowledge isn’t perfect or complete..[/list]

[list][*][b]"Mad as a Hatter"[/b][i]Anger Management Issues[/i] -- Kian has a small fuse on his temper but once it’s gone he’s liable to snap your neck just as easily as yell at you. He has had issues with this in the past (including a small stint in jail) but has learned how to manage it though therapy and some very nice pharmaceuticals. Despite that he does still have his moments and sometimes he will snap at the most random things. He has an almost 0 tolerance for idiocy and people not using the gray matter between their ears.

[*][b]"I don’t have time for your S***"[/b] [i]Intolerant[/i] -- Having explored quite a few cultures and seen what people go through Kian no longer has any patience for intolerance or stupidity. If you can’t be bothered to get your facts straight or handle things outside your ‘bubble’ then you can fall off a cliff (he will probably push you). He rarely has time for anyone outside the few people he has deemed worth his time.[/list]

[b]When and where were you recruited?[/b] Kian was recruited in Mayet 4 years ago. He has been doing biomedical research for decades and was offered funding by Chiron Enterprises for research at the University

[b]WHY were you recruited?[/b] Biomedical research work was what got him noticed. Kian is a research doctor and has never taken the Hippocratic oath and has very, shall we say loose, ethical standards when it comes to medical research. If it turns out that it is a major advancement for humanity what's a little unethical science between friends?

[b]What have you been doing for the past X years?[/b] [i]Research[/i]. No, really ... Kian has been happily working away in his lab at the University working on helping Chiron work on developing better ways to grow transplant organs in lab settings. His main research for the last few years has been involving implanting stem cells into pig hearts to see if they can make them closer to 'human' so they are less likely to be rejected in a transplant scenario.
