Zak - After the Group arrived to the other side of the chasm and took their small breather Sidri spoke "That was a Beccolus. They have been known to sink ships. Luckily you guys only encountered one on the smaller size."

There was a small pause before the mer spoke again "Lets continue we are nearly there."

It only took 10 minutes more of swimming before the group arrived at ShimmerWave. It was a large bustling city. It had multiple air domes around it, though certain parts of the city remained emerged in water with waterways connecting them so mers do not have to step out of water if they do not wish for it.

Though it seemed the entire city seemed to be in a bit of a panic. Mer kitsu were darting back and forth, some carrying bags and supplies were others were quickly ushering kits to higher ground and safety. Evacuating the city to what looked to be a higher cliff off in the distance.

"Uh, wait right here let me go quick find out what is going on." they spoke before swimming up to one of the city guards who seemed to be directing kitsu flow. The two spoke for a bit, the guard seemed to give an uneasy look at the group over sidri's shoulder, but it quickly passed as Sidri seemed to reassure him.

The guard swam off and Sidri returned "Well it seems like there is a giant wave on its way to the city and they are evacuating to that cliff over there" Sidri pointed. "There also seems to be several kitsu who are refusing to leave their homes. If you could help me get everyone to safety it would be much appreciated"

Ren - Rose was still reeling from the strange creature and the city of shimmerwave. It was huge and there were multiple pockets of air with waterways. She noticed there was river ways in the air pockets and she could see mer traveling through them. It was amazing. Swallowing she looked at the guard and sidri. She nodded. “I don’t know if they will listen considered we haven’t exactly been the most .. sociable group?” She looked at her fellow kitsu and considered if she was on the other end if she would open up the door for them. Not in a lifetime. As was clear with the first door. “Excuse me. There is a wave coming. You need to leave.” Silence was her only response. She would have to try another door

The second door was like the first. There was silence. She knocked harder and something thumped hard against the other side of the door making her jump back. Squeaking she tried again. “You have to leave you are in danger.

Rose tried knocking on yet another door after the thump and this door there was a mer kitsu who slammed it in her face. She placed a paw on the door and spoke through it to them. “I was told a wave was coming. You should leave. This place will be in danger.” The response asked what she knew and she was just some stranger. She couldn't’ disagree but she still pleaded to them. “Please just because I’m a stranger doesn’t mean I want to see you hurt.”

Elen and tried knocking on an underwater door. She was half upside down while knocking but with her size she had to be at this angle to knock. “Hello? Hello? I heard from a friend who heard from a guard that a wave is coming. There is a big Bec...k ooo lose in a chasm here and if a wave comes it might bring it into the city.” She didn’t know what danger a wave posted to the city but she understood the big scary tentacle creature. She heard a muffled go away through the door

Moving on she saw a few small kit mer kitsu going into hiding in some rocks. “excuse me. You should catch up with the rest of the adults heading to the cliff.” The mer kits looked at her in terror and fled into a home and closed the door leaving the floating giant alone in the waters.

Middy - Aurora went to an older looking kitsu that clearly had not wanted to leave their home and pleaded with them. "Please your life is still worth while come with me to safety before it's too late."

Athena attempted to convince a younger kitsu to come with her but they ignored her attempts to get them to come with her.

Aurora attempted to knock on another door and got no answer, she frowned she wasn't the most social of kitsu.
Athena was forward and attempted to pull a mer to safety and was whacked in the face with a tail. She was not going to be easy.

Ren - She moved to the door the kits fled and saw a neighbor window next door with a kitsu starring out at her. “Please you should leave this place it’s going to be scary soon with the wave coming.” She didn’t expect an answer as the kits running from her had clearly left a huge dent on her confidence. And she seemed to be shrunk in on herself at the moment. But a wonder took place and the neighbor came out with a glance at her then seemed to head to cliffs not wasting time to say thank you to the fauna

Sei - Amber looked around for anyone not fleeing. "Even if nothing ends up happening, is it really the best idea to gamble with your life? "

Irish - Finlay was looking around a bit and still had the uneasy feeling of being watched although with all the Mers moving about in a panic it was hard to see anything out of place.

Finlay saw several Mers who were moving away from a door curious as to why he slowly made his way over. He looked about and saw no one so his mind went into overdrive on what "goodies" he can find. "Might as well make use of this diversion to have a bit of fun" he thought. He went to open the door and was surprised to find it locked and heard a small noise. Realizing someone was inside he quickly knocked and said "Sorry but you need to evacuate it is not safe here" "There is a group leaving in a few minutes are you coming?" Nothing complete silence, he knocked again and shrugged before moving off to try another door.

Ice - Tai admired the city as they approached taking in the beautiful sight. The architecture was quite something. His admiration turned to slight concern as instead of bustling streets filled with life the city seed to be in a panicked state.

A wave under the ocean? Had the currents whipped up something that unpleasant? Sirius returned to ask the group to help the evacuation. Tai set off to find anyone who need help leaving with. He'd hopefully run into those mers rather easily. Sure enough he came across a couple peeking out from inside their hole.

"You shouldn't stay here, you can always get your stuff back but your lives are more important."

Seeing as they didn't seem convinced at all hw swam elsewhere running into an elderly mer. He just simply smiled and offered his paws should the ner take it.

Tai had almost been successful with that one, a frantic mer came flying by upsetting the older one and in stubbornness changed their mind and refused to move. Hopefully the guards would come and get him sine Tai himself wasn't strong enough to swim while trying to drag a resistant mer behind.

Tai quickly swam into another mer offering help.

Liang swam into action as soon as sidri said they were to evacuate the citizens. He noticed his father wasn't having too much success maybe he'd fare better. Moving to knock on a nearby door a mer opened it looking rather cross

So close he'd nearly managed to coax them outside to flee to the cliff but to no avail. "You really should..." his voice trailed as the door was shut. Moving onto the next he knocked

Finally! He managed to get someone to listen "this way, head over to the cliff!" As he lead them to the gate. Liang went to look for the next stubborn mer. He was certain being a kirin wasn't helping

He must have come off too strong like he had with sidri In the beginning because the mer who'd he was talking to slammed the door in his face.

Ren - Rose hadn’t gotten anyone to leave their home and moved to the next. She felt like shaking the door off the hinges but the words she heard from before helped her keep her head on straight. “Hello is someone there? Please you have to leave.”

Sighing at the daunting task she moved to the next door. Her luck so far did not boast confidence. She knocked at the next door and saw the door push out slightly like someone on the other side was bracing it? She didn’t have much hope for this door. “please you have to leave there is a big wave coming and while your home can be replaced. You can’t be.”

She through to try one more door and knocked as hard as she could. “its time to leave. Those escaping the coming threat will be leaving you behind.” She feel very exasperated at this time. there was not a soul this whole time who would listen. she hoped others had better luck

Elen moved into an air dome and started to knock on the doors though she looked like a soggy mess. Dripping the wet mop of fur knocked and started to tell others to leave. “Hey” knock. “Hey. You gotta go” knock. “hello?” nothing answered back

Moving onto the next place she didn’t think she would have a lot of luck as there was a larger burly mer standing in the doorway with paws crossed glaring at her. “Excuse me you have to leave the wave is coming. The guard that way said for folks to leave to the cliff.” The mer scowled at her and then the door slammed. Elen moved on. they didn't seem to like her at all. was it her size or her ears?

Was she really that scary? She looked at her large wet paws and dicided she would ask sidri latter who was so much smaller but also a mer what she could do to be less scary as Sidri wasn’t scared of her. She knocked on the next door. “Excuse me you should head to the cliffs.” There was still no answer

Zak - Each time Finaly tried to look for where this presence was it would seem to disappear for a brief moment only to return when the trick wasn't looking, as if what ever was watching him was playing a game of hide and seek with him.

Middy - Aurora went to another door and tried to get the kitsu inside to come with her she was getting upset that she was having trouble getting these kitsu to trust her she just wanted to help.
Aurora found a young kitsu who looked like they were very afraid and had been hiding in some plants. She held out her paw and said "Come on let's get you somewhere safe."
Aurora sighed again as another older kitsu turned her away refusing to leave their home.

Irish - As Finlay wandered off to find another door that creepy feeling of being watched returned. He flexed his head a bit and thought he saw a shadow off to the side of one of the buildings but then again so many Mers were moving it was probably one of their shadows or them moving things that made the illusion of a shadow.

Going on to the next door Finlay knocked and listened. No sound, no movement nothing. Reaching down he tried to door of course it was locked. He was perplexed. "Who locks their doors during a panic?" he said outloud.

Muttering to himself Finlay tried to knock again. "If anyone is inside please you need to evacuate for your own safety" "Others are leaving you need to leave to safety is everyone's concern" Listening intently not a sound. He tried but if anyone was inside he failed to get them to listen. He looked around and saw another door not to far away and decided to try one more time before looking for Sidri to see what he should do next.

He already knew this was futile but he decided to attempt for he saw someone moving about inside this door. A flash of color went by as he approached the door. Knocking he said "Hello, anyone in there? You need to evacuate and soon, this place is not safe. Almost everyone has left please you need to join them" He waited for a reply but none came. Sighing he knocked again and again was met with silence. Swimming off the went back to try the first door again.

Ice - Tai continued looking for more mers to help out of the city. He slipped into one of the air domes after seeing a lost child. His extra fluffy fur just sank down to the ground and he realized just how heavy it was.

"Child where are your parents?"

Tai eventually saw the frantic parents and returned the child to them Tai watched as they scrambled out of the city. With that he went to find another. His heavy wet fur making it harder to move. Ah there was a younger adult mer.

"You kids should probably evacuate since that wave is coming "

The mer seems to grumble something about a wet grandpa and strut away like he wasn't worried at all. Hopefully the guards would convince him of the better course of action.

Tai went to the next mer he saw to try and convince them to leave. His wet dog look didn't seem to be doing him any favors.

Liang continued to go door to door trying to convince the mers to head for the Cliffside. He'd only been successful with one so far. Here we go, he thought to himself knocking on the next one

Unsuccessful, cheerful Liang was about to open his mouth and the door was slammed in his face. This stung a bit. Even sidri wasn't too fond of his upbeat attitude... he might have to ask his mom for more pointers to talking to people. Next Door! He swam over

Still not managing to convince the next door Liang once again moved to the next he seemed to be striking our a lot. Hopefully with the warnings though they'd still make it out in time. Swimming to the next door he knocked this time with his staff.

Ren - Rose gritted her teeth and knocked on the next door. There was no answer so she moved to what passed form some kind of window and spoke to it instead. “Hello. My name is Rose Ren. I know you don’t know me but I was told a large wave is coming and merkitsu are leaving to a cliff for saftey. I know you don’t have a reason to trust me but please listen. You can ask a guard if you feel you can’t trust my words.” With that she moved to the next house without looking back

“Hello Hello? I heard a wave is coming and you need to leave for saftey please gather to the cliff like the others.” She knocked and repeated herself before moving on.

Her paws were getting sore from pounding on doors and being ignored. “Hello?” She took a breath and repeated what she felt was the same spiel ad-nausum. “My name is Rose Ren. I know you don’t know me but I was told a large wave is coming and merkitsu are leaving to a cliff for safety.. Please leave or check with a guard. Something other then putting yourself at risk.”

Feeling far to over sided and miserable as she thought others were scared of her Elen knocked on a door to see it open a small crack and then close quickly. Her voice was small and soft. “Hello. The guards said kitsu are leaving to shelter form a wave. You should leave and join the others.”

She saw a mer kitus hammering in boards and she approached cautiously perking up actually seeing another kitsu rather then just closing doors. She leaned on the mer kitsu’s gate as she saw them hammering and waved at them. She made sure not to shout as that could be scarier to them. “I don’t think that will help much. Others are leaving to the cliff for safety you should join them.” She got a scowl and moved on

She saw a kitsu trying to convince a little older kitsu to leave their home. “Grany you should listen to them. The others are headed to the cliff.” She pointed to several kitsu leaving the area. “You can still join them.” the old kitsu called her a freak and told her to leave.

Irish - As FInlay swam off towards the next door movement caught his eye to the side and he saw a Mer come out and looked over the front of their house . Stunned Finlay stopped and turned into that direction. "Excuse me, you need to leave for your own safety" The Mer turned around and made a face like they ate something sour and scurried off inside and slammed the door. Finlay in shock for a moment just stared and then laughed. He swam to the door and knocked. "I know you are not trustful of other Kitsu that are not Mer but I am willing to help you" "I came with Sidri I assume you know them?" Waiting for a reply he looked around and noticed a small pile of what appeared to be some type of board. This Mer may be trying to keep their home intact from the wave that was approachin.g. Then he knocked again and the door opened up and the Mer was there looking at him, basically sizing him up. Nodding they shut their door, and he noticed a small bag of belongings the Mer carried and they swam off. Muttering outloud "Well I guess that counts as convincing someone to leave" and he turned to head off to the next door.

Feeling slightly relieved that at least one Mer would listen, Finlay noticed a few Mer moving back and forth in a small yard. He called out to them "It is not safe here, you need to leave with the others" and before he could say anything about being there with Sidri he was given dirty looks and one Mer who seemed to be the leader of that group turned their nose and head up at him and turned around and went into the house slamming the door hard.

Feeling like this was a huge waste of time since he started which felt like a lifetime ago only one Mer would leave. He was about to approach another door when he saw a Mer moving back and forth in front of the door. They had some type of sheet in their hands and was attempting to place it on the windows. Calling out he said "Hello, this area is not safe you need to leave and soon" and as he was starting to say "I am with" the Mer turned around and said "Leave me alone, go away outsider" Finlay wanted to argue but decided against it and nodded before moving along

Hoshi - Lucretia was never so glad to find solid ground with plain air. Upon reaching the city, she burst through an air bubble, still too unnerved to shake the water off her fur. No more. No more ocean adventures for her. No lake, river, pond, maybe not even swimming pool adventures. At least not for a long while.

For a few minutes, she just stood there, trying to collect her thoughts and still her beating heart. The rush of activity went on around her and she paid it no attention. Eventually, she did look up, going over the city with her brown eyes, the fear slowly disappearing in them. Now out of the water and away from that creature, she felt more comfortable. More in her element. Right. They had a job to do. While she'd been here panicking and feeling sorry for herself, the others in her group had been at work. She should do the same.

Giving herself a shake, Lucretia charged forward. She was none too impressive while looking as she did, with all her long tails and ears drooping so low. But maybe she could still command some attention? Targeting the closest door, she knocked on it, sensing movement behind the window. No one answered. Ignoring the silence, she tried, again, only to be told to shoo. How rude!

So she went to the next house. A kit was outside playing and she approached slowly, not really being used to children. "Hello," she said gently, watching the kit stop what he was doing to stare up at her. Maybe she shouldn't be standing on two legs. Lucretia dropped down to four. "Do you not notice there is something going on? Are your parents inside?" When the kit nodded, she smiled, nodding her head at him. "Are they preparing to leave?" He shook his head. "It soon won't be dangerous here. You should convince them to leave."

"You're weird. I don't talk to weird Kitsu." And he turned and went back inside, shutting the door in her face. Lucretia gave a huff of annoyance.

Moving on from the kit, Lucretia next set her eyes on an old female, loitering around near a bench. The old female sat down, curling her Mer tail on her lap and watched the fish darting about outside the dome. Approaching her with a friendly smile on her face, standing back up on two legs, Lucretia took a seat next to the Mer.

"Beautiful city you have here," she commented, noting the weird way the Mer looked at her, edging down the bench from her. Lucretia tried to ignore this, squeezing water out of one corner of her dress. "It might be best if you left for a bit, wouldn't it? I heard there was a giant wave coming this way."

"Bah. What do you know!" the old female spat, quickly getting up and leaving a very bewildered Fauna on the bench. Were all Mer this strange?

Unlike Lucretia, Nalani stayed in the water portions of the city. She didn't mind swimming around and she was still good for a while with her Fish Lung. In fact, it felt very nice in the water, just floating. The adrenaline from fighting the creature had long since disappeared, leaving her with her usual calmness.

Glancing around, she looked for a good Mer to start with. Spotting one a bit younger than herself, she swam over, raising a paw in greeting.

"Hello. I think it might be best if you could get you and your family away from here. It won't be safe in a while." The Mer nodded their head, giving a thanks for the warning before darting off to take care of preparations to leave as instructed.

Smiling at her small success, Nalani moved on, still enjoying the calm before the storm as she did a small twirl in the water. She hadn't seen where her family went, but she hoped they were also doing okay.

Approaching what looked like a farmer, or gardener, working on some kelp, she moved closer, also raising a paw in greeting. "Good day. Your city is beautiful." Nodding her head as the Mer thanked her with a smile of his own, Nalani continued. "I think there's a big wave coming this way. Maybe you should get to higher ground until it passes?" Agreeing this was a good idea, he went into his house, coming out later to thank her for the warning. He hadn't realized there was anything going on.

Ah, good! So many Mer were listening to her. She hoped she could keep this up. This was her element, after all. Helping other Kitsu with dangerous situations like this. Little else made her as happy as this.

The next Mer was an older male who seemed to be contemplating if he should listen to the others. He stood outside his house, a bag at his tail, while he himself floating with one paw on his chin.

"Hi! You seem to be unsure about what's going on. The other Mer are correct. There's a big wave coming this way and you should leave with the others to safety." That seemed to finally make the decision for him. Maybe he just needed a little push?

Ice - Tai swam out of the dome and headed for another set of doors. His fur floated in the water, and occasionally he had to fluff it down as it seemed to have a mind of its own. "There is a wave coming," she recipient mer scowled and Tai sighed. They didn't seem to want to listen or trust. It was rather unfortunate if they could all get along it would be much easier.

Tai moved to the next door, they were a bit more polite, and actually heard him out but this time and slowly closed their door. They were at least on their way out it seemed. Tai moved to the next one.

The mer he'd run into before reaching the next door seemed to be in a bad mood, but who wouldn't be? there was a looming disaster. He hadn't taken any of the refusals personally. He understood not everything worked out well so he took everything in stride. He noticed his wife across the way doing remarkably well.

Liang continued swimming about the water looking for a stay mer to help. Finding family he smiled at them cheerfully and this time they seemed to be more relaxed. "Come this way it'll get you out of the city." he told them. He saw them off and then swam to the next group.

Grabbing another group Liang continued to bring them to the entrance to the city. "Head to the cliffs you'll be safe there." The Kirin told them as he swam back into the city looking for more mers to help.

Zak - A flash of blue and purple caught Finlay's attention from the direction he though the presence was coming from. Though not much more then that was. After a while of going door to door talking to other kitsu the presence remained. Once Finlay took a small break out of seemingly no where did what ever was stalking him make itself known.

A purple and blue mer guardians seemed to have taken a liking to Finlay's stealthiness over the cavern and wants to join you on this adventure.

Ice - Finding an older Mer, liang went to help them "I don't need your help!" the old mer told him and smacking him with some kelp as his family came to get him. "We're sorry about him" they said as they whisked him off. Presumably to get out of the city.

Irish - Finlay was so engrossed in looking around for something he can "borrow" he did not notice he was moving in the direction of where the feeling of being watched was coming from. It was back all of a sudden and then a burst of color seemed to appear in front of his eyes even though it was a bit away from where he was. "So bright! " he said outloud. Looking towards the direction it came from he saw something brightly colored looking at him. Surprise came over him as he saw a guardian just looking at him with a cute expression on it's face. Finlay was stunned, this must be what was watching him as he was swimming. He thought he was going a bit over the deep end since the water was making him itchy and he was getting tired. But to see this little guardians face made him suddeny smile which to him was out of character. "Hello there little one, do you want to join me on my adventure? I could use the company to be honest, it has been a long journey and my skin and fur was itchy. Need a distraction from it"

Ice - Well it was half a success. He warned them of the coming danger and they seemed to nod and swim off. Not that he was expected much, he probably looked rather comical with his extra fur.

Not as open as the previous mer Tai recived a cold scowl. Which he just seemed to smile and shrug off. The young were such fickle children. He'd love to have more time to admire the city. It had been gorgeous from the outside

Ren - Rose continued down the way speaking to others. Most ignored her but she still spoke to them. “You have to leave there is a wave coming.” they just kept passing her by

She noticed a larger mer grabbing a few things and seemed to be headed inside rather then away from their home. “ah.. Sir there is a wave coming and they are evacuating to the cliff.” The mer scowled at her and said he knew already. Wincing at the others loud tone she moved onward

She was getting tired but tried one last door. “Excuse me there is an evacuation to the cliffs for the coming wave please continue to the evacuation point. This time she ducked away quickly hoping maybe just her tone without actually seeing her might help more

Ice - Tai smiled at the next one, yes "if you wouldn't mind a moment of your time"he told the kitsu about the coming wave and to head to the Cliffside. They seemed to be busy though. Time to admire the city as it was

Ren - The soggy mop Elen kept knocking and checking to see if anyone needed help evacuating. “Hello more mers are leaving as it’s going to be scary and dangerous to stay here you should leave at this time.” Most mer Kitsu gave her a wide berth and just frowned at her which did not help her feeling out of place.

Taking a moment she used a paw to move her hair into place and look more presentable. She marched up to a door and knocked loudly. Her insides were jelly but she was hoping a more regal look would help her convince others to leave their home. “it’s dangerous to stay. Please leave and follow the others to an evacuation point.

Ice - After his earlier success Liang swam around a bit more enthusiastic but it seemed to work against him once again. Ah well that was problematic. These mer must think he's weird

"We should all get going to the Cliffside!" Liang said gaining a bunch of distrustful stares from the mers swimming by. Nope! He would not be discouraged! Alright , they had to find one more mer!

Liang swam down an alleyway and found a mer hiding. "You have to leave, and head to the Cliffside" He warned. The mer seemed to be really scared but swam away from him. Did he startled them? He hadn't meant to.

Ren - With that having failed on every count she felt a large pit of worry in her stomach. She tried one last door. “a large wave is coming a guard seemed to think you should all leave. I know you don't’ know me but I promise I’m only here to help.” yet again nothing. Was anyone even home or did they just not trust her at all?

Zak - As time passed and Mer Kitsu were helped to safety it was soon time to evacuate yourselves and join the citizens on top of the cliff. Those you had helped or warned to safety among the citizens and even numerous who you had talked to be denied your help seemed to have also evacuated, weather it be because they saw their neighbor do the same, or your words later sunk into them the case was unknown.

However not long past as the giant wave predicted to hit the city did so. Crushing down upon numerous houses and shops, destroying pathways and canals among the city. Even many of the constructed air pockets began to crack under the pressure caused by this giant movement of water. Some even started to leak in areas. But the citizens were safe and that is all that mattered.

The guard who had spoken to Sidri previously came over and approached Sidri handing the other mer a small bag before swimming off to continue his duties. "This is Thanks for helping evacuate the citizens" Sidri spoke and then passed out a single silver coin to everyone, after swimming over to them to hand them their reward for their hard work.

A pause of relief seemed to have washed over the citizens as well as your group as the large wave past. But the relief did not last, as a large school thick fish with rainbow colored scales covered in spines. These creatures quite angry at being dislodged from their own home by the wave that nearly destroyed Shimmerwave. And so they lashed out their anger at the only closest thing, the citizens of the city.

Rising up the group, along with the guards move to intercept these fish to protect the citizens.
