"Oh," breathed Cybele when she came across the other woman.

She'd been getting close to the house and considering powering down when she'd caught the trail of the Squire's aura and decided to follow it, instead. She found that she was glad that she had. There was something decidedly familiar about her outfit, despite the fact that Cybele was almost certain that she'd never seen her before.

It was more that the design of the embossed roses on her boots and gloves was familiar, or perhaps the ruffles on her skirt. Eventually Cybele looked up to her hairpiece, and she immediately recognized the symbol there.

"Hello," she said, her smile bright. "You're a Ganymede Knight, aren't you?"

She'd heard they were around, but had yet to actually meet one.

Fólkvangr blinked, and then she smiled brightly, and nodded. This was the first time she'd run into someone other than Ganymede or Valhalla as her new self, and it was nice to get to see someone else.

"Hello!" She said, and she waved, snapping open her fan to show off the Ganymede symbol on it.

"I am, yes. My name is Fólkvangr." She snapped her fan closed and extended her hand. "Do you know Ganymede? Or have you just met other Knights from the planet?" She wasn't sure which was more exciting, but either way, it sounded like they might have an easy connection, and that was a good start.

The name sounded familiar, but so did a million other things that Cybele could never quite place. Since the Squire didn't seem to recognize her, Cybele did not dwell on that.

There was a fan to admire, after all, and there would be a story to tell when she got home. "I'm Cybele," she said with a smile. When Folkvangr reached out, she offered a firm handshake. That was a practiced motion that had stayed in her muscle memory.

"I actually haven't met many knights at all," she added as she stepped back. Even during her time in the Negaverse, there had only been the one, and that didn't seem worth bringing up.

"I know Ganymede, though." Her smile grew brighter. "She's my sister."

"Oh, Cybele!" Fólkvangr definitely knew that name; it had been mentioned to her, as yet someone else who had been taken in by the Gallos. "Ganymede helped you, too, right? She did the same for me; purified me and let me come home as a sister to her and Valhalla."

It was delightful, to meet another one of the people her princess had saved. Plus, it was someone else who had the experience of getting out of the Negaverse, and that meant they had something to bond over. Possibly.

"I've only been a Knight for a little bit, truth be told, but it's been so much better than being in the Negaverse."

Oh, so that would be why it sounded so familiar.

"So you are the other one. I remember your name now." Her smile before had been the contained, polite type. Now it went much brighter, spreading quickly to her eyes.

"Ganymede saved me, and she took me in. It's more than I could have asked for, honestly." A family was something that had seemed completely out of reach when she'd been alone in her tiny, blank room in Negaspace. "I'm glad you're doing better, now. The Negaverse is oppressive. I finally feel like I can try to build a life, now that I'm away from them."

There was a moment of silence as Cybele paused, almost hesitating, but eventually she asked, "Would that make us family, too?"

She was sure it would, in name, but it turned out the Gallos were a large family group, and she wasn't about to waltz up to anyone and demand they see her as a sister. She could only hope, and right now, with Fólkvangr, she was very much hoping.

A shadow crossed Fólkvangr's face briefly, thinking of the oppressiveness of the Negaverse.

"I was so young and foolish when I joined. And I remember...it took a lot from me. Large portions of my old family, for one, though I only remember bits and pieces of that." A slightly wry smile crossed her face. "I think I prefer to not remember, all things considered. But that just means more of a chance to forge new things, now that I'm free."

Which made her brighten right back up.

"You know, I think it does, if that's what both of us want. And I'd be proud to call you a sister, since we've both worked so hard to get to where we are now."

"I was almost worried that the purification would heal too many of my memories. I'm not sure that I could handle remembering my parents after being ripped from them like that."

It turned out that purification had taken more memories, rather than restoring any, and while that had challenges of its own, she was managing without having to mourn the past too much.

Right now she was focused on celebrating the present, especially the fact that she did have a family after having thought that it was an impossibility for months.

She was celebrating the fact that this woman who she had so much in common with wanted to be her sister. "I want that too," she said, smile bright. "I'd be honored."

That said, she focused for a moment and her senshi outfit faded into a much more comfortable dress and shoes. "So, hello. I'm your sister Brielle."

Fólkvangr nodded, a sad smile on her face.

"I've only gone the one way, so I only lost the one set of memories. I can't imagine losing them coming and going." She shook her head. "But at least you do have the chance to start over."

They both did. That was the beauty of purification, wasn't it? That do-overs were, indeed, possible.

So, when Cybele powered down, so did she.

She extended a hand, smiling warmly. "I'm glad to meet you, Brielle. I'm Elodie."

Brielle gave a small shrug. "At least I don't really miss the ones I lost when I purified," she said. She didn't think that she'd had much of a civilian life, but even if there had been a few heartwarming moments that she'd forgotten, she didn't feel any pangs of loss for them.

It was worth that sacrifice, anyway, to end up where she was now, with a family.

She took the hand, smile not leaving her face.

"Elodie's a pretty name," she said, then stepped away again. "I was just heading home. Do you want to come?"

It was strange how happy saying that simple sentence could make her.

Elodie let out a happy sigh, and nodded.

"I would love to walk home together," she said. Every word in that sentence made her heart feel lighter: a home to return to, a sister to go there with. This...this was what she had escaped the Negaverse for, and every bit of it felt right.
