Zayana was rushing away from the tree, agitated that she was dragged back one last time when she had already made her peace with leaving the settlement. In her pack was a series of letters to take with her, both to Jauhar and the other camps, and her focus was keenly on her Limbara and wherever her daughter might be waiting.
She really wanted to just keep moving, and returning for last minute details made them miss the ship they needed to take to Matori. They'd have to figure out an alternative option, which meant they needed to barter as well. As a result, the usual calm and carefree Elaria was showing signs of the more aggressive of her sisters.
She'd need to reign it in, but for now any Elaria who tried to stop her was met with cool dismissal. She had places to be.

The influx of strange faces was a shock to see around Zinris. Foreigners and hybrids were becoming increasingly.. well, not common, but it wasn't unusual anymore. Pruu had been around the Elidae to see her family, but seeing the odd faces within the borders of her own home... it was just plain weird. And then there were the faces of those who had left long ago and now returned to visit. Most of them were vague recognitions, like the Elarian storming along toward her.
Well, whatever had the warrior all ruffled up wasn't her problem. Pruu lowered her attention back to the blade she was sharpening and unconsciously humming a tune she had heard during her visits to Kahikina.

As Zayana moved past Pruu, she vaguely recognized the woman as potentially possibly being related to her sister-in-law. But she had no time for idle chit-chat, or so she thought. For as soon as she moved about 5 paces past the idling warrior, a snap sounded as her pack promptly fell and the letters scattered.
Unable to resist, Zayana let out what could only be considered a warcry. Frustration properly vented, the woman took a deep breath before spinning on her heels and bending at her knees, grabbing the pack and beginning to stuff the letters in as quickly as she could.

Pruu's eyes flicked up at the rustle of papers, brow cocking slightly. Well, that was unfortu-what? The sudden cry filling the air made Pruu, and a few others, jump to their feet to ascertain the threat. When it seemed it was little more than a short fuse, they relaxed again and Pruu shook her head. "You are liable to get an arrow to the neck with that kind of yowling out of nowhere," she warned, bending to pluck up a couple letters that had drifted back toward her. She brushed off the dirt and held the papers out. "Do you require assistance for this rush you are in?"

Zayana let out a huff of a laugh, shaking her head, "I forgot the tension that surrounds this place." She replied slowly, though it was clear it was getting to her. She loved her home, she missed it, but the aggression and suspicion that filled the air was trying compared to the beach home she made herself in Kahikina.
Standing up, she reached for the papers and nodded her head, "It's a little late, I think. I'm bound to miss my ship at this point..."
Narrowing her eyes slowly, she studied Pruu a moment before her face broke out in recognition, "You're Pyrrha's true-bloom sister, right?"

Pruu kept her sigh to herself. While she could admit that the general alertness of Zinris could be a bit much, it was also a poor sign to be gone so long that one forgets how it is there. However, since her own twin was one of those eager to forget.. Well, it was best to say nothing. "A ship? So that's your hurry. You might get lucky and find them delayed.. but our ships do value their schedules." Strict control, like every other part of Zinris life.
Pyrrha? "I am. It's Pruu." The thought of her sister managed to bring up a subtle smile. "Is it safe to assume you know her from over in Kiros?"

The Elaria nodded at that, laughing as she picked up the final items she dropped. Putting them back in the pack, this time safer than before, she tilted her head as she looked back toward Pruu. Yes, that name sounded right, though she hated to admit that she didn't often ask Pyrrha about it.
But at the question, her smile grew.
"Her and my sister are partners. My daughter adores her and spent a lot of time with her before Pyrrha was blessed with her own blooms."

Pruu's eyes widened a little with surprise. Of all the Elaria to run into.. What was the name...? "You are Kanika's sister." She nodded with understanding. She thought she could vaguely recall Pyrrha mentioning a relative of her partner's spending time with them, but could not remember any specifics. "I am glad to hear she and the girls have more family there. Is your daughter of Esena like Pyrrha's?"

[ 5 / 10 ] "That's right, I'm Zayana. I was still pretty young when I left here...so I'm not surprised we didn't cross paths much. You were ahead of my class."
She knew Pyrrha and her sister were older, and matured quickly into warriors of the tribe. It was a shame she didn't get as much of a chance to meet them, especially once Pyrrha ended up moving to the isle and mating with Kanika.
"Oh yes, she's an Elidae. I was lucky enough to be blessed with a bloom after Esena began to blossom..." She trailed off, realizing that she might be speaking a bit too casually considering the tension many had with the history of the tree.
"Nayyara is around here somewhere...she might be waiting closer to the port."
Cornetified bump - do you have time to finish this?

Pruu nodded lightly. She had been actively involved with helping her classmates in training, wanting to be the ideal Elarian, but even she couldn't remember everyone from her youth.
The topic of Esena's blessing might once have pushed Pruu into anger, but now she just gave a small smile and nodded. With her own nieces, she had gotten the chance to appreciate the fruits born from the trial of Elzira's seed. "Zayana and Nayyara," she murmured lightly, trying to put the names more firmly into her mind. "If you have missed the boat, you are welcome to bring Nayyara back here until the next one leaves. I am sure my daughters would like to meet relatives of their cousins."

Her smile was warm and friendly as she nodded at the offer, "I'm sure she would like that. She did spend some time training here for a few days, but I'm not sure she got too close to the other children. I think most were just curious about where she came from instead of who she was."
It was not too different than when they were bloomed, young girls seen as the future of a generation, of a movement even.
"Daughters, hmm?" She echoed a moment, "Have they shown any interest on their warrior path?"

"I don't doubt that she would have been barraged with questions. Views around here change slowly, so many are still learning about even the basics of life outside of Zinris." Pruu gave a rueful smirk. Without Pyrrha's rough shove into the new way of life, she would certainly still be one of those unwilling to accept the arrival of the Elidae.
Once the focus went to her girls, she felt herself straighten a little further with pride. "They do. One seems to be more adept at picking up weapons, but both are smart and skilled when they put their minds to it. They don't seem to have decided anything yet, but I know they will have no trouble once they do. What of Nayyara?"

"It's is...amazing really, what a different worldview can do." She left it at that, not wanting to push anything, but she did believe that stepping out of the small bubble she was raised in helped her discover her true place in this world. That was why she wanted to encourage her daughter to make a trip and hopefully find herself along that way.
It was easy to see Pruu's pride, and she herself felt such pride when thinking of her daughter, and her extended family. She felt a little regret having not met her sister's nieces. At least at how Pruu spoke of them.
"It seems that Nayyara wants to go a little different path than me and my mother. She's leaning toward something with spells."

A different worldview... A lifetime struggle for many. Knowing her own difficulties on the matter, and knowing she wasn't about to discuss them with Zayana, she chose to only nod in acknowledgement. She was opening up, but she still kept some things to herself.
"Has she practiced with Pyrrha then? She was always quite skilled once she realized her path laid in using magic to aid her abilities."

"I honestly am not sure. Nayyara has always been a bit free, and with how small the isle is, it's easy to trust that they will be alright." She replied lightly, "But Pyrrha has been raising her daughters, so I think Nayyara has been giving them some space. Either that or avoiding babysitter duty."
Smirking at the thought, she added, "I did ask her to find a temporary trainer here, and hopefully she can take those lessons until we reach the next settlement."
