Her hair was frizzing.

Scylla was markedly displeased with the fact; she spent enough money on hair products that they could at least have the courtesy of working, but for some reason, no- her thick curls were losing their minds and going every which way, and it was making the senshi quite irritable as she kept trying to smooth the flyaways that not even the senshi magic of the Kraken could control. It was one of those evenings that all it would take was one mosquito and she would go buy a swatter and go on a rampage.

There were no rules about a senshi carrying a weapon as long as she only used it on insects, right?

Luckily for Chaos, the only auras around her were Order related, and it had been a while since Scylla had met someone new- perhaps she should 'network' the senshi world like she had to the professional one? It wouldn't hurt, after all- and next time she came across one of those massive beasts like last weekend, she might actually have someone to work with. That could be nice.

So the Transcended senshi moved towards the other Order Aura, finally coming upon a senshi plunked down on a bench, looking pretty com- wait. "Are those tentacles on your skirt?" Scylla didn't mean to sound so excited, really- but it wouldn't take a lot of work for the other woman to guess that Scylla wasn't asking for some weird pervy reason.

"That is both really awesome and I am really glad I didn't get anything like that," Scylla said honestly as the other senshi shifted, "I've dealt with enough of that just from my powers alone."

Scylla spun around, pulling her away from her back so that the other senshi could see the shimmering tentacles reaching up her spine, and the Kraken-themed jewel in the back, assuming the other woman had already made note of the shimmering 'armbands' she bore. Turning back around she dropped the rope of hair and beamed. "A pleasure to meet you, Limosa. I'm Scylla. Senshi of the Kraken."

She dropped down onto the bench next to the other, absolutely pleased as punch. "I've spent the last decade being nicknamed Tentacles by half the men I know," mainly because she didn't actually know that many, "And today I find I'm not alone. I think you've made my night."

Seeing the other senshi brighten up as she took Scylla in and connected that she wasn't being mocked was wonderful, and the older woman kicked out her short legs gleefully from her spot on the bench. "It admittedly helps with the mockery when your powers are based on a pretty terrifying creature, and can pull a youma into pieces." Or get set on fire and smell like bad barbeque, but there was always bad with the good. Right?

"I don't know any other senshi with tentacles, actually," Scylla said thoughtfully, "But I suppose there might be a senshi of squid? Jellyfish? Cthulhu? Maybe cuttlefish, or cephalopods?" Pulling out her senshi phone, the senshi scanned the screen, squinting. "Isn't there supposed to be some kind of database on this thing?"

It was easy to answer one of the other questions, and the senshi brightened. "It's- well, they call it Transcendence, now, I think. It is a sign of my connection to Scylla. I can visit more often, and I can share some of its energy with people who need it. And I got this nifty set of tattoos."

Well boo! It was unfortunate if the database wasn't maintained anymore- maybe she should look into that? There had to be something useful she could do to get networking again, or perhaps she should suggest it to Charybdis as a pet project? The girl was enamored with the Mauvians, after all. "It's possible they don't power up," she admitted, "Or they haven't been awakened yet. There are times when all of us need to choose between our lives here and the 'night job', so I can easily see it being either."

Scylla's grin turned mischievous, and she cheerfully said, "Not just the uniform that's a giveaway." Pushing herself to her feet, Scylla stepped a few feet away, and called her power to her, whispering 'Sorrow.' Her first attack leaped to her call with frenzied familiarity- and the senshi yelped as a large, meaty tentacle took a swipe at the wisp that floated near the older senshi.

"My world wasn't in very good shape when I first went," Scylla told Limosa, idly reaching out to tap a finger against the visual proof of her power before letting the tentacles fade away. "It has been a long time since I started going. When I first went back, most of the water was just... gone. It was cold, and solid, and... desolate. But I went back, and I just... kept going. My world wasn't dead, it was just sleeping."

She smiled at the octopus senshi, and there was clear affection in her voice as she said, "Scylla needed me. And I needed Scylla."

Limosa seemed to have a genuine affection for her 'nerd' father, and Scylla couldn't stop her laugh. "I mean, at least you don't have to try and hide where you're going as much. If he's a Page, he's not a closet Negaverser." Which would be... awful. Having to wonder if your own parents were the enemy.

The laughter from the other senshi made Scylla grin in response. "Find a few senshi that share the theme and go cause havoc."

Tilting her head, Scylla considered what Limosa said about her homeworld. "Do... you want to go with company? Or come visit Scylla? I like to see other worlds and have others come visit my home; sometimes seeing through a new set of eyes lends itself to a different outlook. Plus a treasure hunt kind of sounds like fun. Maybe we can find that map!"

Well- she certainly hadn't meant to make the girl consider what would happen if her other parent were a member of the Negaverse, and Scylla grimaced for a moment. "There are all kinds of people on both sides of this mess." Scylla admitted. "One of my best friends when I first Awakened turned out to be a Negaverse agent, and people have the ability to choose to fight for the side they believe in. Some of the oldest of the Dark Mirror Court were senshi like you and I, some of the senshi serving the Negaverse were too; and there are quite a few senshi and knights who once served the other side."

Scylla tapped the tattoos on her arms. "These are a sign I've chosen what I fight for." It was a.... vague way to explain Transcension. Not inaccurate, but lacking a lot of nuance, perhaps. "I don't think the Negaverse has anything like this, but from what I understand they have to want to join us. Unlike being Corruption, joining Purification is a choice. And in the worst case, if your Elektra is Negaverse and wants to stay safe with your family, she can make that choice."

Lina had made it. Wolframite had made it. Mjolnir had made it. And the choice could be made to choose Corruption, too.

But those were heavy thoughts; Limosa's brightness and excitement over the idea of coming to her homeworld didn't need to be doused under the weight of worrying about something that might not happen- not tonight, anyways.

"I would be down for both." Scylla kicked out her legs and focused her thoughts on happier things. "My uniform is... good enough. It stays in place, anyways, though it can get a bit heavy. Most importantly the bodice doesn't go sheer, even though it's white, because..." the dark-haired woman glanced down at her bosom and winced. "I haven't had to go diving for youma, though I have dumped some Negaverse agents in the river. Before they can teleport it is an excellent way to make them stop following you."

Even if Wolframite, at least, had gotten sick afterwards.

But if it worked, it worked.

Scylla's smile was small. "I've also made acquaintances on both sides over the years. And I love the idea of 'if it harms none' being a good indicator on an individual level, but I still have worries. Even those people I care for, who get their energy more... humanely... it's going to someone who isn't going to care. I think of it like... giving money to an organization that will use it to help some people, but actively hurt others. The individual working the counter isn't hurting anyone themselves, but the people in charge..."

It seemed like every family had its (potential) problems- and obvious problems, if Liosa calling her mother a lying harpy was any indication. "I am familiar with harpies." It was all Scylla said, her voice dry. After all- one shouldn't speak ill of the dead. Szelem's multitude of flaws were gone, along with her starseed. And having a good relationship with the stepmom was a gift not to be ignored. "A lounge singer?" the senshi of the Kraken tilted her head, considering. "You know, I've never actually met anyone with a job like that. Live performance all the time sounds like it would be exhausting."

But the other senshi moved their focus back to the homeworlds, and Scylla almost vibrated with excitement. "I've been trying to track and write down all the little things I have remembered about my world over the years. The names of people I knew and loved before, the... rituals. What things were, what they did. Plants, animals, how we lived. How we died." Religion. Politics, such as Scylla had. "It would be awesome to compare them! Who knows, we may have even traded with each other!"
