Charybdis had gotten separated from her patrol-buddy. She had gone out tonight with Scylla, as was their usual custom when Charybdis wanted to patrol and had no one else to go with- since, after all, Scylla had made the rule so she got to suffer from it- but there had been a youma, and Charybdis’ seal attack had caused problems for Scylla, letting the youma get away, and so the Eternal had run off after the fleeing monster, telling Charybdis to go home. She felt bad about it, and so as the Chibi made her way through the streets towards the location of their ‘city house’, she dragged her feet, a sulk on her slim face. Around her she could feel auras of Order, and the occasional burst of Chaos that flew by- never stopping, not bothering with someone like her.A screw-up. The look on her sister’s face as the youma threw Scylla back into the center of the flash-bang, making its escape… Charybdis felt awful. It wasn’t all her fault, and she hadn’t gotten blamed for it by the older woman, but it was the first time she had caused a youma to escape because she had accidentally attacked her partner. Even if nothing was said to her about it, the potential danger in her power had been revealed, and the ten year old didn’t like it at all. What if it had been Ara, who might not be able to run off after a youma like that after being blinded and deafened? Or who didn’t have powers to protect herself somewhat? What if there had been civilians nearby she might have blinded, and gotten hurt by the youma? What if she had gotten Jada hurt? She plopped down on a bench, her face crumpling sadly. There was no danger nearby that she could feel, but after tonight she supposed she could be wrong about that too. And Charybdis didn’t even have money in her fuku to try and buy herself a snack to feel better, either; to add insult to injury, she had left her senshi-wallet sitting by the bed and forgotten to bring it with her.

The feeling of a different type of Order aura had veered him off of his usual patrol route a bit. He had some time after work to go and check the area out and take advantage of the warm night. He hadn't yet come into contact with any Agents or Youma however. Did they really hide in the shadows that much? So when he felt the aura he had slowly walked over to it and as he looked around he could see a little girl sitting on a bench looking quite sad. He wasn't sure if the aura was coming from her, were there powered kids? He wouldn't be too surprised at least, and walked over to her. "Oh hello there!" He said, trying to sound cheerful. "What brings a young lady such as yourself out here? It's a nice night so I can't blame you for wanting to be outside. Just look at those moon and stars!" He said, gesturing to them. "Quite wonderful aren't they?" He had gotten close enough and now felt that the aura was coming directly from the girl. He would have to ask about kids fighting later. "I'm Voyager, Page of Pluto! And who might you be?"

It was an Order aura who approached, and for that alone Charybdis was relieved; had she been approached by someone from the Negaverse, what would she have done? Cried at them? No; it was good that someone from Order was coming- it didn't feel strong enough to be her sister though, so their approach wasn't met by a weepy apology face. "Hello Mr. Voyager," she greeted him politely- he had introduced himself, and he was a member of the Order team, so he wasn't a stranger. He was a good guy! "I'm Charybdis, Super Chibi Senshi of Seals. Or... Super Senshi Chibi? Chibi Super Senshi? Either way I'm-" her voice dropped, and she heaved a sigh; "I'm Super." She was not, in fact, feeling particularly Super. Leaning back some, the blonde stared up at the sky, considering the moon and stars above her. "They're really pretty. Not very bright though when the streetlights are all polluting the view." Not that she was being a little sulky or anything. "They're really extra pretty when you're in the park though, or if you go camping."

Chibi Senshi? That was a term he hadn't heard before, but he assumed it belonged to younger Senshi. At what age they became "full" Senshi he would have to look up. Although she didn't sound very happy Voyager was surprised. "Super! Why, that's one step up above me! I'm just a page! My next stage would be a Squire." He said, moving closer and kneeling on the ground in front of her, with some space in-between them, so he didn't look dangerous. "That's pretty amazing! You must have some experience then!" More than he did at least? Was... that a good or bad thing for a child to go through? Probably the latter. He almost physically winced when she talked about city light pollution. She wasn't wrong, but for a kid like her to already know and complain about it was a bit sad. Getting in that disillusionment already? He decided not to say anything on that and instead focused on what she said next. "Yes! I like to go camping a lot! I do it for my job and being in nature without all of the convenience of the city can be quite a sight."Now that they had talked to each other a bit, he decided to approach the subject of why she was all alone on a bench here. "So, what's got you bummed out? Seems like too pretty of a night to be sad. You want to talk about it?" She should have a guardian nearby, right?

"I have been a senshi since I was a baby," Charybdis told the older man importantly, beaming, "Like... almost four years?" she checked her hands, flicking out her fingers- 2017-18, 18-19, 19-20, and 20-21. "Yep! Four years." Four years, and she still sucked. her bright eyes dimmed, but she tried not to look too depressed. This long, and she still wasn't able to fight a youma by herself, and needed to be protected when she went out because the bad guys didn't care she was a kid, and she wasn't able to fight back with a fake seal. Still, the nice Page in front of her was being... well. Nice. So Charybdis tried to shove away the bad feelings and give him her attention. "I'm a little young to go camping for my job," she told him with a small giggle, "But maybe in a few years. We rented a cabin in the mountains one year and it was real cold and clear, and we used an app to tell us all the stars we were looking at." Her smile, however, fooled the adult not at all, and the (almost) eleven-year-old looked down at her ballet slippers in shame. "My sister Scylla and I were patrolling and I accidentally used my power on her instead of the youma." Giulia's voice was small. "The youma got away because of me, and so she had to go after it, but she was having problems seeing and her ears were all ringy, and she told me to go home. Probly so she wouldn't have to protect me or get hit by my Pup again."

Voyager almost made a startled face when she said she had been a Senshi since she was a baby and how long she had been one. He decided not to ask how old she was. Not that he would have in the first place, but still, how young could Senshi be awakened? He smiled at her when she seemed to feel a bit better. "That sounds fun! You can do it in the warmer months as well! I think both have their own perks. Colder weather doesn't have all the bugs." He said with a chuckle. Then the Chibi Senshi got sad again and he made sure to listen to her and he kept his smile. "You made a mistake. Everyone does. And your sister just wanted to protect you. I'm going to be honest with you. I've made mistakes as well, even recently!" He said, holding his hands to his cheeks and sighing dramatically. "And while that hasn't been when I've been powered, it has been at my job. Everyone makes mistakes. Adults make mistakes all the time. It's not going to be the first time you make a mistake while powered up. And while I haven't been a Page for very long, I know I'm going to make them too."He wasn't sure if this was making her feel any better or not. He took his hands down from his face. "In a situation like that, decisions need to be made. And if this Youma was as hard as you describe it to be, then she probably thought that you would be better protected by going home because the Youma was too much. The one I battled was tough as well. He destroyed a part of the museum I was working in.
"You know, if you want to practice, I'm sure you have some friends or others you know, including your sister, that they would be able to help you train and practice. And then you'll get better over time. I bet you're a lot better than when you were when you started. And no one got hurt right? Your sister may have been disoriented, but it doesn't sound like you or her were seriously injured." He wondered if her older sister was all right though. He may have just been a Page, but for the two of them to encounter a Youma with only one of them going after it, it must have been dangerous.

"I don't like bugs," Giulia told Voyager with a small grin like she was sharing some kind of secret; "Well, except for dragonflies. And butterflies. Maybe Praying Mantis' cause they look like leaves and that's cool." Very stereotypical bugs to like, for a pre-teen. But the knight would be forced to see her blue eyes begin to water from his horribly grown-up words of compassion. "It's all because my powers are stupid." Giulia glared down at the little seal brooch on her capelet. "Senshi of SEALS. You know what seals do? Flop around and get eaten." If she was cooler, if she was more like Ara, who was able to do things with lights, or more like Lepus, or Mjolnir... Or even a knight... "So I can't even fix my own mistakes." In the end, she was still just a kid. Charybdis could pretend that she was cool and adult, but she was surrounded by people who always had to protect her, or fix her mistakes. Giulia believed in happy endings, but after years of having to be saved because she wasn't as strong as a Negaverse agent, and her magic wasn't dependable... It was depressing. "They all want to protect me. I know they love me, and it's good, but it makes me feel like..." she scuffed her toe into the dirt. "Like I'm still a baby for real. But I'm almost 11!" And being 11 meant she was still in training. She wasn't as strong as other senshi, and her magic backfired as often as it went off- except for her Seal Pup, which could always ork bork and make her smile. "I guess I'm better now. I'm a super chibi and all, not just a regular chibi. My magic got cooler too... when it works right."

"Those are cool bugs aren't they?" He said agreeing with her. It was mosquitoes and others that were the problem. If they just left him alone and went on their merry way, it would be different. "Senshi of Seals? The animal? That's cool!" He said, genuinely. "They don't just flop around though, they have to go and hunt for their own food and they fight each other too. They can also swim really gracefully in the water! They're very interesting creatures!" Sure, they did flop around and get eaten, but it wasn't as though they were on the bottom of the food chain. "Of course they want to protect you. I know it can be hard. You want to prove that you can defend yourself and stuff but... Negaverse Agents aren't like the bad guys in cartoons, though you probably know that already." Considering how long she had been in all of this, it was a bit depressing to know that she probably did have that knowledge. "They want to protect you because they love you and don't want to see you hurt. Maybe if you train with them, you can show them that you can be independent? I wouldn't suggest it at your age, but Negaverse Agents are a lot older than you and even some Senshi!" That was how it worked right? He thought he had heard that Agents were corrupted Knights, so considering he had become a Knight at 28, he wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an age limit on Knight awakenings as well. "It can be hard for older siblings that their little siblings are growing up. You don't see yourself as a baby anymore, but your sister probably still sees you as someone who needs protection because she's seen you grow up." He smiled at her. "I'm sure if you go home and apologize to your sister for the accident and ask if she can give you any pointers or help you practice your magic that she would be willing to help you out!"

Voyager seemed to have a higher opinion of seals than the very depressed senshi of them. All she saw when she looked for gifs of seals were them as hairy little babies, or as dinner for toothy whales. Or doing tricks. She supposed they might be graceful, but... fighting? Hunting? Hmmmm. It sounded suspicious. But Voyager was so nice so far, she would give him the benefit of the doubt. "I just... want to be strong. Like they are. Youma don't try and eat them anymore. They don't have to worry if they are all alone by themselves." But training... "Shouldn't I train with someone strong, like the knights? Because my problem is that my magic is weak, so shouldn't I try and make my body stronger?" But if she got too involved in fighting, she could get hurt, right? And she really, really wanted to be a healthy ballerina... She did need to go home, though. Like she had been told. "Can you walk me back home?" she asked, and a slippered foot scuffed the sidewalk.

"Well, that takes time, and I know you want to be able to go out on your own, but you'll have to have some patience. It's not too pretty once you get into the whole mess of things. I think your training with a Knight is a great idea though! You can learn how to move around for dodging and stuff and learning all sorts of things! I know I'm not the greatest Knight, I'm just a Page without magic, but even I've had to learn how to adapt to situations really quickly! It would be great to get some training on that! I know I didn't have any." He said with a chuckle. "You probably won't gain a lot of muscle strength, but you will be able to work one muscle a lot more in fighting situations, your brain." He said, pointing to his own. "Having ingrained brain muscle memory response would be helpful.""And if you want you can see if you can get help with controlling your magic! I'm sure there's more you can do to make it even better!" With that he stood up again and nodded to her. "Of course! And if you want I can explain the situation to your sister if I need to." He said holding out his hand. "You don't have to take it if you don't want it, but I'll make sure to stick with you until we're there."Infinities Can end it with your next post or mine!

Patience was not exactly one of Giulia's strong suits, but she listened attentively and nodded her head as Voyager spoke. It wasn't until Voyager mentioned learning to move that her brain connected a few dots, and she paused, mouth falling open. That was... that was it! The way to learn to fight without having to get hurt. Giulia already attended her ballet lessons and worked hard on those- why couldn't she add a martial art to that? There were so many options for kids, and learning how to defend herself would at least be something! She slipped her hand into Voyager's as he held his own out to her, and Charybdis beamed at him. "You're so smart," she said admiringly, "I guess age really does make a difference. When I'm old I wanna be just like you." Would he need to explain things to Jada? Ehhhhh..... well, hopefully not, but she wasn't going to take any chances. "If my sister is waiting outside for me, you'll need to explain. If she's not, we'll pretend this never happened." As she led him to the City House, Giulia powered down, and Voyager would soon find himself walking alongside a blonde pre-teen with messy pigtails and wearing bright pink pajamas and seal slippers. "Do you want a snack?" Reaching into her pajama pockets, Giulia pulled out a slightly-crushed but still-crushed granola bar. "We're almost to my house."

Well, he was glad that she had figured something out. He grinned at her compliment. "Thanks! Though I think it's more from experience and learning. Getting older doesn't help much if you also don't fill your brain with knowledge along the way!" He couldn't imagine going around life like that. It would just be too sad for him, though he knew that others found some happiness in it. He decided to power down as well and hew as back in his vest, short-sleeved shirt, and slacks. He wondered if it would be okay to have snacks, but when it was revealed that it had been in her pajamas... "Uh, no thank you. Though I appreciate your offer!" He said, hoping she didn't take offense. He tried to memorize the neighborhood in case such a scenario repeated itself. "Good. I'm sure your sister will be happy that you're home!"

Giulia glanced down at the crumpled, sad granola bar and shrugged, tucking it back in her pocket. "Okay. We can get you a bottle of water or something if you want before you head back home, too. Or coffee." Voyager had many more clothes on now, he looked like a proper adult who probably had a real job. Maybe a teacher? Since he was nice and stuff. And had on a vest. Didn't teachers wear vests? As they drew near, Voyager would see a dark-haired woman standing in a driveway, looking up and down the street, a lit phone in her hand. "Ooooooh," Giulia muttered under her breath, "I think I left my phone in my room when we came out tonight. I might not make it to 11 years old after all." There were rules and she was doing, frankly, a terrible job at following them... "Goodbye, world."

John smiled at Giuliea. "You will, though I'm sure it will help to have someone who was with you calm your sister down a bit." He wasn't sure, but he thought that she finally saw them and he waved. "Hello there! I was just bringing your sister back home!" He said with a bright smile and a wave, though he was sure that wouldn't calm the older one down at all. "I can see that you made it out fine! Your sister was worried about you as well!" He didn't say "Youma" just in case. Hopefully that would give the other enough hints to show that he knew what was going on. If not, perhaps Giulia could explain the situation. He really hoped he wouldn't have the cops called on him tonight.

Holding on to civilian!Voyager's hand was very reassuring for the tall pre-teen as they approached the worried-looking older woman. "This is Jada," Giulia introduced them, "She's old, and single." "Starting introductions by embarrassing me won't keep me from yelling at you for leaving your phone at home," Jada tossed back at Giulia, making the blonde wince, "and yes, thank you. I made it out fine, an encounter like that is just part of the job." she reached out, ruffling the other girl's hair. "I hope Giulia wasn't a bother." "Rude." Giulia dropped John's hand. "I'm gonna go get my phone. I offered him some water or coffee or something. Thank you for walking me home Voy- uhh... mister." Good save. And with that, the pre-teen vanished into the large house, leaving the adults in the driveway. "Since she offered you a water or coffee, do you need one?" Jada asked, gazing after her sister with exasperated affection. "And you didn't have to play rescue ranger, did you? She has a habit of attracting some rather Chaotic attention when she goes out by herself."
