Kiuchi had heard about the wisps, how could he not have? He lived in a large apartment with multiple people - anything that happened in the city he knew somehow. Someone else found out and he heard about it...it was just how things worked. There was always something happening in the city and they all somehow found out in the apartment, all rather quickly too.
This however he’d heard about on social media, in a game forum from others who lived in the city, people had been chatting about it and posting pictures about the wisps. Deciding they were in some way magical he’d gone out, for a walk since the heat had finally broken, he needed to find these wisps for himself.
A short walk, and a trip through a mirror, later and the eternal senshi of gorgon’s was in the cities biggest park and headed for one of the many open fields. He’d learned a long time ago that walking through bushes and trees, with his uniform, was not a good idea especially when it was dark. He would snag every branch and twig and drag them all along with him; not something he wanted to do.
When he did reach the field, after a good long walk down a dimly lit pathway, he found nothing but hoving little balls of glowing light. Well, that made things easy for him. Like a curious child, which perhaps he was, the senshi bent down to the wisps in order to look them over, inspecting them, and even poke at a few of them. They seemed to bob and sway and move as he poked and prodded them but they didn’t otherwise do anything but blink in and out. “Not alive.” At least he was fairly certain of it. They were warm though but so was a light bulb and so that didn’t mean these were alive. They could run on magic or something like that.
“I wonder if a Mauvian would know about them...or could help.” They were good with that sort of thing, right? He’d heard they were good with technology and inventing things. While he doubted a senshi kitty would help him he was certain he could find a chaos kitty which would help him, he knew of at least one. Katya would help him if he could find her, which might be the hard part. “Rhona knows the owner though…..so does Remarque….” So maybe not too hard.
He didn’t have any way to grab a wisp and contain it so he just scooped two of them up and decided to head on off, pocketing them as he went. He would keep one for himself and he’d hand one to Katya when he saw her. He wanted one for himself in order to observe it as well, there was no telling what they might be or what they could do. He wanted to try things on his own with it, separate from Katya, maybe it would react to magic being used on it? Or to certain environments and changes in them? Such as mirrorspace vs. being out here where it was normal.
“They are cute though...I wonder if I could keep it in a jar.” And use it as a little light in his bedroom. He didn’t think his partners would mind and it was cute! He would just need to keep Caleb from spotting it, that would be near impossible to explain.
