Quote: Wanted Wisps (11) : Small, wispy orbs are floating through the city. They can be found during the day but are far more visible at night. They seem to bob along a few feet off the ground and sometimes flicker in and out of sight. They are warm to the touch and seem to be somewhat magical in nature. Anyone can gather them in their hands; they do not quite feel solid but cannot slip through fingers or escape any container. If you find one of these, you must return it to the merchant. He’d heard about the wisps from Katya, who had spotted them whilst out and about the city, it was certainly an interesting thing and something he supposed was worth investigating. With a quick note left, incase Mason turned up looking for him, the ashen blond had headed out of his home for a little ‘walk’.
That walk meant a quick job two blocks from his home before he ducked into an alley and powering up. From there he took to teleporting elsewhere in the city, he was not keen on potentially leading senshi or knights close to his home. He’d always done his best, with a few minor slips here and there, to keep the location of his home safe from order. He wanted a safe place to go when he wasn’t fighting - when he wasn’t Benitoite.
When he reappeared it was across the city in one of the many smaller parks. It wasn’t as sprawling as the usual park he haunted but this one had some size to it, some benches and a play area for kids, it also had some wisps. As he stared, and watched them, more and more seemed to appear. What they were he didn’t know but he was sure they were magical and he was fairly certain they didn’t belong to the Negaverse in any manner, they didn’t feel it and it didn’t seem like anything they’d deal with.
Stepping closer to them he watched as they blinked in and out and seemed to hover and float. "Interesting." And pretty, very pretty. Taking off his gloves he reached out to touch one, despite it being a risk, he was surprised when it didn't attack him. Instead it was warm and just seemed to hover there, uncaring of him touching it. It didn't become something else and try to kill him.
Lifting the wisp up to his face he brought it close, to inspect it, the soft glow from the wisp casting a pale glow to his skin and causing his eyes to seem a brighter shade of blue than usual. It was what happened whenever he looked into a bright light like the sun or anything similar. Blue eyes, as he knew, weren’t blue at all but rather they were clear. It was similar to the sky or the ocean, at least it seemed so, as blue eyes were really a reflection of blue wavelengths back out. Thus the color changed depending on how much light they were bouncing back.
“Not a fairy then…” No little fairy person causing the glow. So it really was just a glowing orb of light….like in some myths he’d heard about. “Will of the wisp...I think that’s what it’s called.” Wasn’t that something in a Disney movie also? He was fairly certain he’d heard about it when Disney had come out with some Irish type movie or something...Brave he thought it was called. He’d seen blur orbs of light, similar to this one, in trailers and on posters.
“So something from myths…” Cupping his hand around the little wisp he straightened himself. “Time to find out about you.” Somehow and somewhere...but where and how he wasn’t sure.

He had just missed Alex leaving, only by a couple minutes. So when he saw the note he back tracked, ducking down a random alley before powering up and taking off after the nearest General he sensed. It took a little bit, but he finally found Beni. Corvusite watched from a distance, as the other interacted with the strange.... thing. With a sigh, he finally moved towards the other.
"One could say its not too different then us." Something that people didn't believe in, until they saw for themselves. Something to either fear or admire. But their looks could be deceiving. "Should you be touching it?" Corvusite asked, coming to stand at the General's side. He glanced for a moment at the others ungloved hands and frowned, before brushing it off. "Please tell me you're not planning on bringing this thing home..." The blonde asked, eying the small creature.

He had been, for the moment, ignorng the aura he'd felt. If it was someone who wanted his attention they'd get it, but he wasn't going to go bothering another officer. When he heard the owner of the aura speak up he looked startled for a moment, nearly dropping the little orb. He doubted it would hit the ground, or be broken or harmed in any manner, but he still didn't want to drop it. Looking up he smiled.
"Like us, how so?" Tilting his head, a curious look in his eyes, as he leaned into the others side. "Perhaps not but it's not doing anything. If it does I'm sure I'll handle it somehow." At least he hoped he would and could, but there really was no telling in all honesty. "Mmm, I would but I don't know what it is and I'm not keen on bringing it home." Home was his safe place, it was where he went to be away from both his jobs and where he could be himself and do whatever he pleased.
"I want to see if we can find anything out about them though...there are enough in the city that if they are a threat I'd like to know. If they can be useful I'd like to know that as well." Gazing up at the other he held it up close for Corvusite to see. "It's nice, like a will of the wisp, I think." Which might mean harmless or at least somewhere in the mostly harmless catagory.
"I also might be bias as to the blue color."

"Magic, Pixie." He said softly, hand moving to the small of the others back. "Even if you don't have it as I do, you are not without your own..." Corvusite hummed quietly eyeing the wisp. "Hmmm.. For the better I think. Lord knows what would happen if you were forced to stay at my place because something happened to yours." All sarcasm, no actual bite.
"If there are enough in the city already, the threat might already be here." Corvusite glanced at the other before glancing at the wisp. "I wonder what they're here for." Or why. "Are we suppose to turn them in somewhere?"
Corvusite rolled his eyes with a small huff as he leaned down just enough to kiss the other's forehead. "Yes yes... Blue. I know." Though he still much preferred the other in red.

"Oh, yeah." Nodding his head a bit. He hadn't thought about that, he'd been thinking of somethign bigger or deeper. He certainly hadn't been thinking so simply, but it was true. "Mmm, yeah. You do have more magic than I do, but I'm glad. It means you can protect yourself. I don't have to worry as much." Because unlike Aiden who would never be involved in a fight, not like they'd both been, it meant Mason could protect himself and wouldn't always need to be protected.
"You're place might wind up with clean - sparkling clean." He teased gently, wrinkling his nose a bit as he did so.
"Mmm, that is true. I would like to know however if they are a threat." But he wouldn't bring it home, incase he burned his house down somehow.
"I don't know, but it does seem like it should go somewhere. They all should go somewhere but where I'm unsure. Maybe if we walk we'll figure it out." Shrugging a bit, nothing to loose really. It was a nice night out and they were together so all was good.
"Is that why you haven't moved in with me yet? The idea that I might burn down my home and I'll need to crash at yours?" Already walking away from the other he shot a mischevious look over his shoulder. "Or, have I not asked you to move in yet?" He asked after a moment, seeming confused. he knew he'd yet to ask and this was him asking now, he might as well have a bit of fun with this.

Corvusite rolled his eyes. "I'll take your spear over my magic any day." His magic only had a finite amount of use, both in duration and uses. Beni's spear was as long as needed. "I'm not entirely defenseless if my magic should run out though." He knew how to throw a punch or two. If someone was trying to take him down, he would not go without a fight.
The senshi snorted at the thought. "No it wouldn't. You'd spend time berating me for the condition of it, only to get distracted by my dog. And that's only if you don't pass out because there's nothing designer label there. My apartment is quite literally your worst nightmare, Love."
He grinned slightly. "Please, we both know if anyone was to burn down your place it would likely be my sister. Though the idea of you having to stay at my place for once is... interesting." Corvusite was curious as to what his smaller companion would be like, taken from his prim and proper belongings and placed out of his comfort zone into Corvusite's shattered little corner. The look pulled Corvusite's mind up from the darker parts and he moved automatically, following after the General. Though it was his turn to shoot Beni a look. "Technically, no. You have not."

"I'd like to have both, spear and magic. I rather fancy the idea of magic." But a deadly weapon was useful, not to mention he did get a bit stab happy at times. He didn't mind stabbing people, killing and shedding blood didn't bother him much any more. "I know you're not entierly defenceless without magic...but the magic helps. If you ever need my spear in a battle I'm sure I can lend it to you." Let the other stab someone if need be, maybe he shoiuld let Corvusite train with his spear a bit.
"I don't think I'd berate you but I might pace around trying to figure out what exactly to clean first." He was fairly certain he would do that in fact. Benitoite was in fact certain he'd wind up pacing and muttering to himself while working himself up before working himself to death to clean the others home. "It does sound it but it's your home and you're there. I'd survive, somehow. You'd have to make sure of that."
Reaching out with a hand towards the other, flexing his fingers for the other to grasp hold of. "Grab a wisp and lets see if we can find where they go. And this is me asking you to move in. So I don't have to suffer a break down as I try and clean your place, and so you can make sure I survive this war...and everything else." Possibly including himself, or a meeting with a spider.

"I'm sure that there is a way you could enchant your spear." Some how, maybe. He however, would remain weaponless. "I appreciate the thought though, I would much prefer you to keep your spear." He would however, take it up for whatever scenario where Beni could not. Though he hoped that should never have to happen.
"You'd pace, probably b***h and moan about something. Then you'd attempt to clean one area only to get upset with another and start there, eventually hitting every room there without cleaning a single thing." He paused, thinking. "Then you'd probably get frustrated and go home, but not before taking Anubis with you. Whether or not you threaten to keep me out of your place till I clean mine is debatable but I'm sure it wouldn't last." Corvusite said, throwing Beni a smug look. "But yes, should you stay, I would make sure you survive your labelless fate."
The Senshi made a face, eying the wisp as he reached out and tangled their fingers together with a squeeze. He snorted again, leaning down to steal a kiss. "You'd have to suffer a break down regardless. Moving out means we'd have to stage the apartment for selling. Knowing you, you would not miss the chance to upstage the others who live there." Corvusite rolled his eyes. "It's not that bad. I'm sure there are one or two there but they're small enough if they are. We'll handle that bridge when we cross it." They'd work on it, slowly.

"If I could enchant it I would, the magic would be helpful. It has gained some magic, somehow, but a bit more would be nice in a battle." Any advantage he could have he wanted. He was determined to see the endof this war, no matter what way it went, he would live to see it. He needed to be best prepared in order to survive it.
"You know me so well already. You know just how I'd manage in your place." The pacing and cleaning and trying to clean and getting distracted by another mess...and going to clean that. It did sound like what he might do, since the whole place sounded like a mess and he'd get a bit lost in it all. He didn't know how Mason survived in what sounded like a massive mess.
Leaning up to let the kis linger he finally settled back on his feet properly, having moved to stand on tip toe in order to lean up into the other. "I could manage setting up to sell the apartment, it'd be less work. Not to mention it would mean you'd be moving in and I can most certainly deal with that, I could survive anything for that end result."
Rolling his eyes he huffed. "You know me too well. You know I like to upstage everyone around me..." And that trait of his actually had nothing to do with why he worked his way to general as fast we he had. Things had just been busier then it seemed, a lot more going on in the war.
"We should move your things into my place, organize it all, and then upgrade your apartment a bit and sell it. You can move in and we can be comfortable together. You can check me over every night when I come home from a patrol. Or go on a late night or early morning civilian run with me."

"Hmm... Then whatever you did the first time, try doing that again? What about your Sovereigns? Can they do anything about enchanting your staff??? If I could give you my magic, I would." Though maybe by that point, Beni could see how useless it was. How useless... Corvusite sighed. No. He wouldn't go there.
"After what, only a couple of months?" He huffed. "Was it suppose to be hard?? Though I suppose it helped Jay gave me a basic run down of what you were like." Though he still wasn't entirely sure if that was a good or bad thing. His lip twitched upwards in a shadow of a smile as Beni chased after the kiss. "Shorty." Corvusite teased quietly.
"I'm sure none of your... richer friends want it but. I'm sure you could find someone to sell it and buy it in no time." The blonde glanced at the shorter General, wondering. How long before Beni upstaged him and got rid of him. With a sigh, he tore his eyes back to the surrounding area, looking for another wisp. "Hmm... That's assuming I move in of course. It's beginning to sound increasingly like you just want me there because you'll have another dog." Not that the other didn't already spoil Anubis rotten.
The corrupt scowled, tossing the look at Benitoite as if whatever the other had said offended him. Which it did. "You get one of those. Not both." Not like Beni was going to have a say in the matter. "I'm not getting out of bed at some ungodly hour in the morning to go running. I'll buy you one of those fancy treadmills that has connections to an actual person." Though, he did have to admit. It would be easier to make sure the crazy b*****d was in one piece if he didn't live half way across the city... "I'll think about it."

"I don't want your magic - it's yours and you need it. If I could I'd give you my strength though." And his spear, as he'd already said. He would give the other what he had if the other ever needed it, without much thought either.
"Most people figure out some of me, not all. Different bits and pieces but not everything. I'm not saying you've figured me all out but better than most." Though Aiden had known him well...but Aiden had also not trusted him with hosting his little gatherings. Aiden also hadn't talked to him abotu it till how far into things? Till he'd known for how long?
"I admit I'm short, it can't be helped. I was not gifted genetically in that way." Not that he wasn't gifted in other areas - he most certainly was. "Well, if you're refering to yourself as a dog than yes - I'd like another dog. I'm not after you for Anubis, I'm after your for you. I want you to move in, Anubis comes along with you but I most certainly want you." Shaking his head he huffed and ran his fingers through his bangs, giving them a gentle tug as he did so.
"Fine, one of those I'll take. Evening runs are nicer anyway." Smiling up at the other. "I'll take you up on the treadmill offer...I'll pay and you pick it out and order it. You can also order anything you'd like since I'm assuming you'll move in at some point." He was hopeful, very much so, he liked the idea of a somewhat domestic life.

"I don't need your strength. You have given me enough, Love. There is little you could give me, that you already haven't." There wasn't much he could ask of Alex anyway.
Corvusite rolled his eyes. "You are plant obsessed. You can't go a day without some sort of high brand label or else you will likely have some sort of conniption fit. You prefer tea and sweeter coffee's. You prefer blue over most colors despite the fact you have quite the tendency to come home with a fair amount of red on you. You are not the worlds biggest fan of girls, yet one of your closest friends happens to be one. You like cats, but only the ones that talk back, and you will likely try to bring home more dogs in the future. You tend to act like this big bad a** yet you are quite small, and fear things even smaller then you." The senshi paused, trying to think. "Oh right, and you also have horrid taste in men. I am including myself int hat mix before you ask."
He snorted. "I am taller than both my parents. Was, I guess, is more accurate." If what Jaysen said had any truth to it. "I never said your short stature was bad though." In fact, he thought it rather cute. "They were closer more to Jaysen's height.
Corvusite sighed, tugging at their tangled hands and pulling the smaller man closer. "You have me. There is no need to want." He said softly. It was the closest he would get to admitting anything. For now.
"If I pick it out, you don't get to complain if you don't like it down the road." Corvusite turned, finally returning his gaze back to the General. "At some point." He said, finally conceding to the other.
"I'm not seeing anymore of these wisps... Perhaps it is time to find out where it goes."

Ducking his head, the tips of his ears warming, at the others words. He didn't think he'd given enough, though did he ever? He tried to give as much as he could when it came to dating, perhaps in some way to balance out the time he went out as a General? Perhaps to make up for the injuries and other things he came home with. Or it was just some need of his to take care of whomever he was with, because he had the ability to do so. He just wanted to provide and do his part he supposed. To make whoever he was with feel important and a part of his life. -
Laughing as Mason went down the list of things he knew about him, most were true. He really couldn't help but find humor in them, though he did shake his head. "My taste in men I think is just fine, it's my taste after all - so it's certainly good." Better than anyone elses, aside from whatever people found him attractive...because obviouisly they had good taste to look at him.
"Both of my parents are taller than me....my whole family is actually." He was sure he had cousins, in their teens, who were taller than he was. He was smaller than nearly everyone aside from the pre-teens and youngerr members. "I'm glad it doesn't bother you. Some people don't like petite people." Petite was a nice way of putting it, a really nice way of saying he was tiny. "Mmm, you're right. I don't want anything else - just you." But he wanted the other to move in, he wanted Mason all the time. He was greedy and he knew it. He wanted his own version of what his parents had. He didn't need some piece of paper and vows but he wanted the rest - all of it...aside from children as well.
Lifting his head enough to look at the wisp he still had, he really wouldn't mind bringing it home and keeping it somehow. It was pretty and the glow was nice. There was some sort of appeal to it really, such a simple but magical and almost innocent thing. Maybe if the war wasn't a thing, but magic was, he might have a similar approach to it all. He might not think in terms of power and ability to hurt, kill, and defend himself as much. Magic was certainly impressive and attractive.
"Mmm, we should find it's home, before I keep it and bring it home with me." Which, given how magic was in this city, might be a very bad idea. It was a shame magic couldn't be so innocent and enjoyable.
"You know, eventually I'll be clearing out a space in my dresser for you and making space in my home for you." He just hoped it was sooner rather than later.
"Let's go though, I wanna find his home before I give this little wisp a home." Right on his bedside table.
