Anyway, this kind of atmosphere wasn't sometihng he much cared aobut, except for the very important fact that it meant very many people were out much later than usual, which meant that, even in the park, which usually cleared by dusk, there were a few stragglers. Apparently, not even the constant tales of danger could fully dissuade people who were just utterly determined to get drunk and wander late at night.
How unfortunate for them that a viper lurked in the grass.
He'd cornered one such poor unfortunate soul, and the poor man was utterly panicked, staring up at a tall, muscular man with a cobra's hood and vicious fangs.
"Relax," Nagyá sighed, sliding his hand into the man's chest. "This doesn't need to be so difficult."
The man screamed his agony, and Nagyá sighed, heavily. Civilians were so dramatic about having their starseeds pulled.

Lapis Lazuli was walking through the park, ostensibly he was out on patrol but in actuality he was just wondering the city trying to clear his head. He had the paper with a wish on it, it felt like a lead weight in his pocket. He had noticed the other lieutenant's signature. He wasn't too concerned about the other officer he had planned to just avoid him, that was until he heard a blood curdling scream.
He wasn't sure why but his feet start moving in the direction of the other lieutenant's aura. What he saw when reached the scene made him go cold, a lieutenant with a cobra's hood and snake like fangs, he was fairly certain the officer was one of the half youma, reaching into some poor man's chest. Something snapped inside of Lapis Lazuli and he wasn't quiet sure why he did it but he screamed. "LET HIM GO!"
He summoned his shinai and quickly crossed the distance bringing it down hard on the half youma's wrist. "Back off!" He was seeing red, who was this lieutenant and what compelled him to take such a senseless act. It was cruel and unnecessary, energy draining served a purpose and was relatively harmless, at the very least a person would recover from having their energy drained but if there star seed is stolen that means death. No Lapis wouldn't allow this.

Feeling another Negaverse lieutenant was not something that gave Nagyá pause. Another officer wasn't likely to interfere in his work, after all--or, at least, that was what he assumed.
Apparently, he couldn't assume anything.
"Are you ******** joking." Nagyá demanded. As he turned to face the interfering Lieutenant, he completed the pull, letting the man's body slump over. "Of all the nonsense--no, I'm not going to let him go, you absolute moron." He put a hand on his hip, opposite the one that held the starseed in a tight grip.
"What the hell makes you think you get to tromp in here, all self-righteous, and get in my way, you filthy, miserable traitor?"

Lapis Lazuli cursed himself for being too late to stop the pull from happening in the first place but he wasn't to late to retrieve the star seed, as long as the star seed was returned in a reasonable time the victim would come back to life, he knew this much at least.
"You don't need to be doing this! You're killing him for no reason." Lapis Lazuli said feeling a cold sweat go down his spine. 'Traitor' thats what he was now, there was no mistaking it he supposed. The paper in his body seemed to be burning, 'I wish this city was a safer place for people.' that was the wish. Lapiz Lazuli would make sure he granted it, at least for this poor man. Even if that meant his death.
"If you need energy fine but I'm not gonna let you kill someone just because you're an officer." Lapis readied his shinai as he moved with great speed swinging just like he had learned from years of kendo practice. He had to make the half youma drop the star seed and retreat, both their lives depended on it.

Well. This was an absolute pain in the a**. Especially because for all that Nagyá knew it was probably coming,h e still wasn't entirely prepared for the wing of a shinai into his side. <********> that hurt.
And what was it lately with him and having to deal with rogue officers? Amazonite, and now this idiot child--but at least this was a Lieutenant like him.
So he took a breath, taking a step away, and focused on the hypnotic voice ability his youma half gave him.
"Drop your weapon," he said, and then he took a few steps way to give himself more space, and dropped the hypnotic voice. He wanted the Lieutenant to be entirely aware of what he was saying, and doing, for this part.
"And go fetch, scum." He held up the starseed, making sure the Lieutenant could see, and hurled it into the distance.
That should give him plenty of time to run away, and maybe to figure out how to report this. An officer with a wooden sword and a mask--that had to be distinctive enough for someone to know it.

Lapis lazuli grinned as he scored a solid blow with his shinai. He readied for a second strike when the half youma officer retreated. Lapis was confused and braced himself for whatever counter attack was coming. However what he couldn't have prepared for was when the half youma suddenly began speaking in a low melodic voice, it was hypnotizing. He couldn't help but comply and drop his shinai. He cursed himself for getting caught by the half youma's magic. Thankfully the other officer didn't follow the command with an attack instead he lobbed the starseed off into the distance. It was clearly a distraction tactic but it was also exactly what Lapis wanted so with a glare at the other officer he took in the direction of the star seed.
Lapis reclaimed the star seed and returned to find the other officer gone, taken off to report a rouge officer no doubt. Lapis sighed knowing his future was on shaky ground to say the least but at least he knew now what he had to do. He'd have to find Camelot soon. He kneeled over the fallen civilian and gently place the star seed back into his chest. Once the man came back to life he escort the confused and terrified man to a safe place. Once he was done with that Lapis looked at the paper in his pocket. He hoped that this counted as him fulfilling it. So He dug a hole in the ground with his hand and buried the paper. Getting up he clapped his hands and bowed as if he were at a shrine, he wasn't sure that was necessary but it felt appropriate to him. And with that Lapis Lazuli went off into the night knowing what his decision was.
