Quote:
Investigation for the curious meteor impact may yield few results for the civilian scientists of Destiny City--but they don’t have the keen eye and aura sensing ability of their local powered warriors. Cloaked by a mysterious device that emits a unique energy signature, the impact site of the meteor is hidden inside a strange, watery bubble that spans easily a hundred feet in all directions around it. This strange shield seems to reflect light, making it appear as though there is nothing inside--but, if you look for long enough, you can make out shapes and movement. You cannot pass through the barrier, nor can sounds or light. If you attempt to walk through it, you simply pass through the other side, as if you’d walked in a straight line. That might be peculiar on its own--except, there’s a sign posted where the energy signature is strongest. Painted in fancy, iridescent ink, elegantly scrawled, the sign reads ‘Temporarily Closed for Business.’ Beneath that is a painting of a wispy, floating little orb. Text below the picture reads, ‘WANTED. Will reward handsomely.’

The shop may be closed for tonight, but tomorrow is a different story. It might be worth coming back if you can find one of those wisps.

Ever since the night of the strange impact, Caer Sidi and Hyperborea had stuck together on their patrols. There hadn't been much of note, but it at least meant they spent a lot of time together--good and bad for Caer Sidi's burgeoning crush. Well, she supposed "burgeoning" wasn't the right word; it had been burgeoning when Monoceros teased her about it. Now it was just there, a pleasant little achey flutter in her chest whenever she spent time with the other Cosmos Knight. It had never seemed like something to do anything about, of course; that wasn't what it needed to be. It was enough for Caer just to spend time together, especially since managing a relationship and saving the world seemed like quite a lot.

Ah, well.

Tonight, however, they were following an odd energy signature--one that had pinged before, but that they hadn't investigated just yet. When they arrived, Caer gasped, eyes wide.

"The meteor," she realized, taking in the strange scene before her--the odd magical shield must be protecting it. This seemed like the right direction, and everything, too. "We should look around here more. Maybe..." She squinted, and she swore she could see movement, but she didn't want to test the bubble's power. "Maybe there's someone where who can give us some answers?"

Hyperborea had really been enjoying herself these past few nights. Patrolling with Caer Sidi had been so much fun, she honestly hadn't felt this happy in months. Tonight was another pleasant night however it was clearly not going to be a uneventful as they came upon a strange watery bubble in a crater. "I think we might have found your meteorite Caer."

It was giving off a very strange aura yet familiar, not necessarily an evil or malicious one but a weird enough one to get the Transcended Knight of the Cosmos to notice it. The bubble was able strange it seemed to reflect light making it very difficult to see inside. She went to rapt on the bubble with her staff but it seemed to just pass harmlessly through to the other side. Try to walk through it herself she found herself on the other side of the bubble as she made her way back to Caer Sidi.

"What a strange phenomenon. Its clearly alien in nature, it has an aura but I don't think it's evil not directly at least." Hyperborea exposited to her younger friend and fellow knight. "Its big" She noted as she looked closely at the bubble and observed shapes moving about within. "I think its got people in it. Or at least some kind of beings in there. Maybe its a space ship." She theorized, it would certainly not be the first time the earth had been visited by outside guest even setting aside the dozens if not hundreds of people bore with either the bloodline of an alien dynasty or the reincarnated soul of a guardian of some space in the cosmos. "See anything on your end." She called out.

Caer swallowed nervously, watching Hyperborea test the barrier first with her staff, and ten with herself. At least it didn't react to defend itself, or anything dangerous like that--and it was true; it felt strange, otherworldy even, but not at all evil or malicious. There was no Chaos here, just....strangeness.

She made a soft, thoughtful noise, walking around the perimeter. Perhaps there was something on another side of the bubble...that might be helpful. An entrance, or a clue, or anything at all that might point them more in the right direction. As she moved, she felt the aura stronger, and that seemed like a positive sign--so she kept going towards it, following her sense.

"Nothing so far, but I think the aura is stronger over here!" Caer Sidi called, and then her eyes lit on what looked to be...a pinned-up note? Strange, and definitely worth investigating, she thought.

She darted over to it, and read it, eyes wide.

"Spoke too soon! Come over here, Hype, there's some kind of note--whoever's running this wants us to find something for them!" Well, not them-them. It wasn't as if it was addressed To Caer Sidi and Hyperborea of Cosmos, or anything ridiculous like that, but it was still a general call to recover the strange little wisps illustrated on the paper.

How interesting. Perhaps the meteor site was their origin. "Do you really think this could be form space?" She said, and then she frowned at herself. "I mean, I suppose that's not that weird, considering everything. Have there been offworld visitors before?" Being a Knight was ever an adventure in expanding her horizons. Apparently, tonight was no different. "I assume they're not little green men or anything ridiculous like that," she said, and she laughed. "But if they are, I guess that'd be funny, at least."

Hyperborea walked over a little surprised to see the paper. It was frankly comical to the transcended knight of the cosmos I mean after all how could someone with such clear magical capabilities resort to something so primitive. To use paper to convey a message when your space ship or whatever it was was being cloaked in a giant ball of water nothing short of ridiculous.

"Whelp I suppose that makes this easy at least what does it say?" She asked with a giggle at the situation. It would seem the note was a request, not for them specifically but for any passers-by looking to do. She found the request strange what where the things why did the owner want them, why employee the services of others to catch whatever the creatures were especially in such a dodgy and unreliable way as this.

"Hmm I don't think I've seen those." She was racking her brain but if she had seen them in her many years of fighting and adventuring. "But we should try to find them all the same at the very least I'd like to what who ever own this..." She gestered to the bubble. "wants this."

Hyperborea looked at her friend "Come on ma chérie lets go find and catch these things."
