Some wishes dangling from the tree already include things like “I wish there wasn’t so much litter in the park,” “I wish someone would clean the graffiti off the old historic buildings,” and “I wish there were more volunteers at the shelter.” If you choose to use the Wishing Tree, what do you wish for? If your wish is private, you may write it on the paper and choose a spot in the park and bury it yourself instead of hanging it on the tree. When he was able to find some time away from the museum's booth he was able to wander around the festival for a bit and look at all of the activities going on around him. It made him wonder what festivals had been like so many years ago. It was hard to imagine, what with not having video of it and only having paintings or other decorative art to fill the imagination. He knew it happened, but he so badly wished he could have been there as well to experience it. But he was just glad to be able to do it now and be a part of some history himself. Which is how he managed to wander over to the Wishing Tree. Every year he made a wish with it and whether it came true or not was something he wasn't sure of, but it did make him feel a bit happier to see others possibly try to fulfill the wishes on the tree. He took one of the pieces of paper and wrote: I wish more people would become interested in our planet's history. And hung the paper on the tree. Not necessarily his area of expertise but he knew that the more people cared about the planet, the better. After he had put his paper on the tree he saw a young woman with green and blue hair also hanging around the tree. For a moment he wondered what she wished for. Was it something nice as well? He hoped so, the tree was mostly meant to be a nice gesture for others.

Anniliese stared at the paper in her hands. She wasn't sure what she wanted to wish for. There were just so many things for her to wish for. She noticed that she was not alone. She took a peek to see a very handsome man putting writing down a wish to put on the tree. She wondered if it came easy to him what to wish for. She should probably write something down quickly. She was probably looking like a weirdo standing there staring at the blank sheet of paper. Anniliese decided on something and quickly wrote it down I wish that more people would believe in global warming and take better care of our planet.She quickly hung the wish on the tree. She cleared her throat "Not as easy as it seems." She glanced over at the guy. ((140))

John chuckled. "Yes, it would be easy to have more specific wishes that others could fulfill. But because it has to be so generalized and for anyone to be able to do it, it does make it a bit harder doesn't it?" He took a quick look at the tree and then back at the young woman. "I would be a lot of them say close to the same thing, but I that's a good thing. It means that more people care about the same things. Doesn't make it feel like we are so alone then."He paused for a bit, realizing how negative that sounded. "Sorry, I didn't meant to sound like that! This is a festival after all, it's supposed to be happy and celebrating with others. I'm John." He said, holding his hand out to her when he walked closer to her. "Do you usually come to this festival?"

Anniliese took John's hands into hers. "I am Anniliese." She shooked his hands. "This is my second year at the festival." Last year was a little simpler for her. She had no worries in the world and no responsibilities. She wished for something simple and then went back home. Last year she was just a regular person with no powers or anything of the sort. Then she ended up meeting a talking cat and all that changed for her. Now she had things to do. Going out at night to keep the city a peaceful safe place. And if she was being honest it was a little too much for her but she manages the best way that she could. "How about you? Have you been to these festivals before?" ((130))

He smiled warmly. "It's nice to meet you Anniliese." As for her question he thought about it for a moment, his hand on his chin. "Well... technically I have, but I can't say I really participated before. The museum has a booth that we usually put out every year, on the culture and history of the festival and such and advertising the museum as well, so I've mostly been working there. Tonight however I had a little free time so I decided to look around and well, here I am." He said with a chuckle. "Are you enjoying the festival? I can't say that it's like the usual festival you would expect, but it kind of makes me happy you know? Usually holidays are all about eating food or something, but this seems like it could make a different. At least with this tree here!"

Anniliese smiled at John. "Yes, I am somewhat enjoying myself. I had a few hiccups to my holiday but all in all, it was fun You are right about the food part though. That is the one thing that I enjoy when it comes to celebrating or participating in holidays and festivals." Anniliese thought back to the beach incident that she had gotten herself into. She did not want to experience that again. "You mention the museum do you work there? I am embarrassed to say that I have only been there once and it was for a field trip a long, long time ago. She had planned to go again but always had other things come up that had stopped her from going. ((124))

"Good! It's much better to find at least something enjoyable about a festival than finding nothing at all!" Unfortunate that it happened sometimes, but people didn't like the same things. It was best to experience it first though and then decide if one liked it or not. He nodded. "Yes! I'm a museum archivist! I help determine what should and shouldn't be shown in the museum. It's really fascinating stuff, but you have to be extra careful with it. Sometimes people like to try to pass of forgeries. That's a part of my job as well. I haven't run into many, but it's not fun when I do so."He shook his head. And unfortunately the museum paid top dollar for artifacts so some people though they could try their luck. "What are you interested in? If it's anything at the museum, I might be able to recommend a particular part of it if you want!"

"ooh, A museum archivist. I bet there is a lot of researching involved." Anniliese hadn't really thought about the inner working of museums and other jobs. When she thought of getting a job at places like that the jobs that came to mind are casher, greeter janitor, or something simple like that. She never really gave real thought to the people working behind the scenes or who helped operate behind the scenes. She had many questions. "Is it stressful?" How do you know what is acceptable for a museum and what is not?" Any Pros and Cons of the job?" She started to get excited and question after question started to spill out of her mouth. She then remembered that he had a question "I am interested in anything about ancient Greece. Does the museum have anything like that?" ((139))

He grinned. He was glad that she was interested! "It can be. Sometimes people will try to pass off fakes, so you have to look real closely, and sometimes call in an expert, to make sure that it's genuine." He thought about it for a moment. "Stressful? Yes it can be. I do work with thinks that are hundreds to thousands of years old so you have to be very careful when working with them. Though if you take the right precautions, you usually don't have to touch them much. But they can be worth a lot of money so if you aren't comfortable handling something worth that much, it might be stressful."[/;color]
He was glad he didn't really have to work with visitors though. Most of them were okay or good, but the ones that were bad he could tell that they brought the mood of the customer-facing staff down quite a few notches.
"Also it depends on the museum. For me the pros are getting to travel all over the world to look at works of art to determine if they should be in our museum, and double checking them when they get there. Cons... well I am in the basement most of the time. Windows aren't a thing because of how damaging they could be to the pieces, and you can get a bit isolated, so sometimes I have to find excuses to go and bother my coworkers." He said with a chuckle.
"We have a whole wing of it dedicated to ancient Greece! And we just got a few new pieces in as well! Best times to go are during the weekdays when not many people are there. Tuesday and Thursday. There are less field trips during those times as well."

Anneliese listened to John talk about the museum and his job with interest and wonder in her eyes. She made a mental note to go to the museum whenever she had a chance. She was kinda envious about the fact that he got to travel all over the world. She wondered about all the places we been to and all the people he was fortunate to meet. "I never really gave much thought to the happenings behind museums and stuff like that. I will have to make sure I get a chance to come by the museum whenever I get the chance." She looked over at the wishing tree. Next time she would probably make a wish for the museum Wishing more people would come and visit and be interested in what the museum has to offer. He grinned, glad that he was able to get someone interested in the museum. He always thought they were important structures. Much more interesting than what one could learn at school he thought. "Yes! We have different events that come through as well, so you might find something your interested in when that happens!" Though he wasn't usually the one tasked with those, he still made sure to take every chance that he could to go through them when they were staying temporarily. "It was nice to meet you too Annelise, and I hope to see you sometime at the museum!" He said before his watch started to beep. "Oh no, looks like my break is over! I'll see you around!" He said before starting back towards the booth that they had set up. He was pretty sure he wouldn't forget the girl with such an interesting hair color. xdeathxbyxlovex Hope that's okay for an end on my part! Thank you for the rp! And no problem!
