Wanted Wisps (11) : Small, wispy orbs are floating through the city. They can be found during the day but are far more visible at night. They seem to bob along a few feet off the ground and sometimes flicker in and out of sight. They are warm to the touch and seem to be somewhat magical in nature. Anyone can gather them in their hands; they do not quite feel solid but cannot slip through fingers or escape any container. If you find one of these, you must return it to the merchant. If you do not roleplay with him, it will be assumed that you returned the piece to hi anyway; there is no way to keep these. Please see this post for information on turning in the Wisp and claiming your prize.

The sky above was a dim, cloudy sight that helped ease the punishing heat of summer and instead they afforded a threat -- or perhaps, a promise -- of rain and thunder as the sun began to lower behind the sky, and that rainy promise was dark and roiling -- both a lovely night for patrol and terrible. Sailor Dubhe wasn't really sure she could handle rain with her skirt well, but by now patrol was so routine she decided to 'deal'. Tonight, Ezekiel was guarding the house -- by sneaking out while powered with her and hiding on the roof, making himself hard to see as possible -- somehow with the uniform white bodices order senshi were stuck to -- but if it worked, that meant Zayne and her Uncle Vincent were safe. Besides, Sailor Susanoo was the one willing to fight -- Dubhe herself was more inclined to speak with kindness, and only turned aggressive if provoked enough, something Negaverse Agents seemed to like doing -- and that was troubling for the normally pacifistic woman. She hated fighting. She hated how she risked ambush by powering, that most likely weren't willing to talk -- but her father's lifeless body on the pavement replayed in her mind when she thought she might stop.

At least his starseed was safe, sent wherever the soul went after death, and not crunched by some youma.

Dubhe swallowed, that very memory creeping to her senses before she blinked at something hitting her foot and a peal of swearing came to her ear.

"Oh, bloody hell there it goes!"

Sailor Dubhe looked down to spy a white abyssinian at her feet, huffing as an odd light passed by. The feline -- plainly a
"Do you need help?" The senshi asked. The Mauvian sputtered a bit before blinking, looking up at her with red eyes, and she blinked, using a paw to right her hat.

"Ah!...Ah... Wait. Waaaiiit, I've seen you before." The mauvian greeted. She looked thoughtful, before Dubhe looked her over, and blinked.

"Oh, I remember you. You handed me a magic pen and wandered off. Miss Kitty, right?" Dubhe responded. Almost promptly the mauvian blinked a few times, then perked. Oh! She awakened this one! and look at her now!.. Wait. Waaaait.

"Y e s.... Dubhe, right? Goodness, do you ever meet other cats?" Miss Kitty looked up at the senshi, whom seemed thoughtful befote motioning.

"At least one named Soleiyu, when my cousin awakened. He was helpful." Dubhe shrugged, then frowned. "More informative about factions. Hey, what are you doing?" Dubhe arched a brow as Miss Kitty waved a paw awkwardly, sighing.

"In a minute, in a minute. You! Have been training!" Miss Kitty pointed a paw proudly. Training, as opposed to disappearing long stretches of time kujw Wlpis seemed to do. "I think you're ready for more power, sweetie."

"More power." Sailor Dubhe stared, brows arching. "Stronger?" Where the hell was this last year?! Miss Kitty, however, nodded, beaming as she pranced.

"Yes! Pen, please!" The mauvian trilled. Slowly nd with no small amount of hesitation, Sailor Dubhe passed her pen to Miss Kitty, the Abyssinian raking it in poaw. For a moment, nothing happened, but then with a little flip and a little care, the mauvian dropped an upgraded pen at Dubhe's feet. The senshi knelt to collect it, before Miss Kitty beamed. Dubhe hesitated, but they were alone, and so she powered down a moment before powering back up, a rush of energy flooding her system to accompany the familiar sensation of power, and Super Sailor Dubhe blinked as Miss Kitty beamed.

"Look at you, so powerful!" The mauvian crooned. Dubhe blinked, fidgeting before shrugging.

"Sussy's going to be pissed." She observed. "He's a fighter, not me." The senshi frowned, and watched another wispy light float by. Immediately, Miss Kitty dropped, prowling.

"There's another one! Let me just...." The mauvian wiggled like a cat preparing to pounce and Miss Kitty launched for the wisp, missing by a hair. Dubhe blinked, watching it pass by harmlessly, and pivoted, facing the wisp and kneeling, catching it in her hands gently. Carefully, the senshi offered it to Miss Kitty, and the mauvian paused, blinking before one paw bat it. Carefully, gracefully, the mauvian sniffed and examined it before frowning, head tilting before she tried biting it. This did almost nothing, and finally, Miss Kitty sat, staring before shaking herself. Her entire body shook, head and tail tip all aflutter with the motion before her hat fell as her bell collar tinkled and chimed, and finally the Mauvian began the slow task of herding it for her cap. It floated easily before Miss Kitty felt she 'caught' it, and wuith a motion she tried to headbutt her head into her hat once more.

It half-worked. Miss Kitty puffed and fluffed and wriggled her head, righting her hat before looking satisfied with herself, and she smiled up. Dubhe stared down at this, and blinked.

"Are you going to eat that?" She asked. Miss Kitty stared before straightening proudly.

"Yes... No! I don't really know yet, I actually haven't seen these before. Might be food, might be some horrible curse from the Bootes void. Never really know." The mauvian coughed, trying to recover her mystique before looking around. "It does feel like these are almost living though -- aaahhh, another one!" Miss Kitty puffed, preparing to stalk, prowl, and pounce the second wisp as well, before Dubhe moved, scooping it up in her hands.

"I don't think eating these is a good idea. Maybe we should find where these came from." The Senshi trapped it in her hands, and Miss Kitty blinked, unsure.

"You think?" She asked, and Dubhe nodded.

"I do, but if you want you can climb on my shoulder. Erm..." Dubhe peered between fingers before kneeling in the grass. Miss Kitty jumped, climbing the senshi carefully before draping across her shoulders, claws firmly in her collar to stay on high as they rose, and Dubhe sighed. Tonight was going to be busy, both in trying to find the source of the wisps, and dealing with a confused and likely upset Sailor Susanoo, given the man's decision to act so protective when they were both powered. ... Actually, maybe she'd be out late tonight to avoid the brunt of her cousin's confused-angry-worried-distress until morning when she was just tired enough to shut him down with her uncle. ... Yes. Yes, she liked this plan, and the senshi nodded to herself. A good plan -- she just hoped Susanoo took it well as she wandered down the street in thought, a mauvian on her shoulders.
