Personality: Timid at times but tries to be outgoing most of the time. Due to her past, it's hard for her to trust people but it takes time. Once you do earn her trust, she's loyal to to her friends. She's consistent and logical most of the time. Mari becomes erratic when she's nervous and or scared so some reason.


Weapon(s): A few daggers hidden on her person in case her tai gets blocked and can't use her powers for a few hours.

Power(s): She is a water elemental mage that can control water in many ways. (Similar to Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender.) Blood bending: there's water in blood so she control a person's body due to that for a period of time. Due to her bending, she can drain all the water from a person's body in order to kill them. Mari has done this before but only as a last defense in a life or death situation. She can see and interact with water elemental beings/spirits that are nearby. She bend water in any way she can think of.
Her powers can be blocked for a time if someone hits her pressure points

Bio: When Mari was ten, she and some of her other friends were captured by cannibalistic witches. It was when she was on the dissecting table, tied down and for the second time was when she acted in desperation. While they were eating parts of her body that they had cut off, Mari bent the water out of the witches, turning their bodies into dust. Mari hadn't been able to do something this intense with her powers before then. After this, her father made sure that she had special training with her powers so that she could control it when and if there was another time she was in a desperate situation.

Mari has that bit in her past and haunts her from time to time and she does try to make sure that she doesn't use her magic in public unless she has too. She's a violinist as well and travels for different jigs. She does go busking in parks to make her way, whether she needs to or not. Street performing does help relax as she dances while playing her violin.

As for the war, she usually takes a more neutral stance. She wished that everyone could live co existentially but there would be trouble no matter where she goes. Mari does carries a few daggers on her person for protection as well.

She's from Orlando, and has a slight Southern accent. When she's angry, her accent is stronger and more noticeable.

Healthy for the most part but every now and then, she has asthma attacks. She carries a rescue inhaler at all times if one was to happen.

Power(s): He can disguise himself as a human and has multiple human forms he can take after many years of practice. He can use water in any of it forms and enjoys torturing these puny humans in many ways. Blood bending is a favorite of his even though it was his downfall at one point. Using blood bending, he has made people kill each other for his own entertainment.

Has similar powers like Mari, but stronger due to being older and had a lot more practice than Mari.

Bio: Wants to get revenge on Mari's family due to something in the past. Not a fan of vampires getting in his way either. Has killed several family members of Mari due to the past event. He's planning to take his sweet time with Mari though, to savor it since she is the last of her family line. The cat and mouse game he likes to play the most.

Mari left the inn about lunch time to explore the city so she could get a feel for it. She was also mapping in her mind where the water sources were as she moved along as Mari never knew when she might need the water for attacks.' There's a lot more water here than I imagine.I know it's a city but still.... Not all of it clean liked I hope but hoping to find a few water elemental sprites here to befriend.' Mari thought to herself as she came across a park as the evening began.

Mari went into the park as she stayed on the lighted path as she moved deeper into the park. Then she saw a large fountain so she made her way over to it. She studied the fountain for a while, checking to see if she could dance on the rim of main pool. ' It looks sound all around
but was it though? ' Mari thought before jumping unto the fountain's rim that was about two feet wide. She began to hum a tune while dancing on the rim. She didn't mind if anyone was watching her doing this, as long they don't attack her.

The next thing Mari knew, she was in the vampire's arms and that he was holding her bridal style. She was blushing slightly now for two reasons. One that she let something distract her in the first place and had put herself in risk of getting an injury so shame was a part of this blush. Secondly, that she was in his arms bridal style and that she was attracted to him. 'His lime green eyes , I could get lost in them if I'm not careful.' Mari thought before looking away from his face. She took a few deep breathes before hearing the little girl asking her if she was okay.


"I'm alright, thanks to your family member catching me like he did." Mari said as she could tell that the two were related but wasn't sure if they were father/daughter or a niece/uncle relation so she used the family member so not to offend on the off chance she used the wrong family title..." I think I'm good now, thanks for catching like you did sir. " She said to the vampire male while trying to think about certain things.

She blushed slightly at his saying that it was an honor to met her. Not many people used that phase now days and it made her think of her father. "I'm new here as well, got into town yesterday evening. I would like to accept that offer to join y'all. "She said with a smile then something clicked in her mind.

'Wait, did he say his twin's name was Kris? I think that Sarah mentioned that her friend that she was waiting on was Kris. I didn't get a good look at the guy when he came in...' Mari thought as she remembered her conservation with Sarah last night before things went.... out of hand.

"Wait, you said his name was Kris? Does he have a female friend named Sarah?" Mari asked him, wondering if it was possible that the Kris from last night was Kaleb's brother and Octavia's father." I met a Sarah at the inn last night that was waiting for a friend of her's to arrive. She had this gorgeous red hair that I'll admit that I was a little envious of... But that's besides the point though. Her friend was passed out when they brought him into the hotel and I didn't get a good look at his face. Yet I do remember the name Kris at some point." She said to the vampire male while trying to

Mari had fun with Kaleb and his niece the other night at the park. She hoped that she'll see them again at some point while she was here. But it has been three days now since she met them. Since then she had been busking in the park with her violin. Mari was hoping by chance someone might try to hire to play at a restaurant, reception, or anything but no job offers yet. 'That's how it goes sometimes though, and I only been at it for two days so there's that.' Mari thought to herself as she left the inn to go eat supper somewhere.

She almost wore some pastel colored clothing for the night but decided against it. 'If I was with a group of friends, maybe I would have. Yet those colors can scream "fresh meat, blood, or soul'' to the supernaturals here so going with darker clothing I might fit in better. Though my light blue hair does tend to stick out either way. Perhaps I should dye it soon, since it's been a while since I've done that. Maybe do an umbre effect would be fun.' She thought as she noticed a place called the Club Noir.

'Not the most original name for a place like this, but I'll check it out anyways... ' Mari thought to herself before going in. A hostess greeted and asked if she wanted to go to the bar or have a table. Mari went for a booth as she didn't want to be in that noticeable right now and sitting at the bar would be. Plus, she wanted to be alone for the moment anyways. She took the violin case off her back before sliding into the booth. The hostess left a food and drink menu for her to look through and Mari was getting hungry. Mar began looking to see what was available to choose from.

Mari figured that he would ask her a few questions. She didn't mind the questions that much but the offer of staying here right of the bat..... Concerned her quite a bit and hoped that it didn't show on her face. Then he made himself at home in the booth across from her. 'Great... He's a creeper alright and I don't trust him. I could use the job though just to stay ahead financially even though I should be fine for a few years here without one. Assuming no major emergencies of some sort happens.... Plus one way to get some advertising in a way. I could get from job offers from others that visit here but have to be careful still. Here's to hoping my thoughts aren't showing on my face...' Mari thought before responding back to his questions.

"I have been playing the violin for sixteen years now."Mari said looking back at the menu before looking back at him. "I am looking for a job where I can play my violin but before I say yes, I need to know all the details. I need to know how many times a week and which days or nights you need me to play. Also how many sets I play in one shift. Will I be playing with any other instrumentalists and or singers at some point?" She asked him, wanting to know the details beforehand. "Thank you for the offer of a room here but I have a place already though." She said with a grateful smile to him before looking at the menu, trying to decide what she wanted to eat.
