Tonight was the night, Perrie had decided. Tonight he was going to power up again and become Sailor Parsifal. He remembered what it had felt like that first time he's powered up, when he had first awakened as Parsifal; it had been kind of fun, fighting that youma with Isolde and Guinevere and later meeting the rest of the Arthurian Court, which he apparently was a part of. They were cool people, both powered up and as normal people. Even Hania the cat was great.

Then he'd gotten hurt in that racing accident and was out of commission for nearly a year. He'd spent the time since then getting back into physical condition so he could get back on horseback. He all but forgot about magical girls and talking cats and youma and focused on racing, on getting his career back on track, literally.

But things had finally settled down, and he had time to think, and to remember.

Powered up now, Parsifal bounded across the rooftops of the buildings near the park, laughing the whole time. This was fun! It was fun even though he wasn't high! It was like being high, only different, only more real. A mushie-less high, he thought to himself as he leapt to the ground and entered the park. Who'd have thunk it?

The park was quite deserted, and dark away from the meadows. That didn't bother Parsifal too much, until he heard a voice mutter about 'weird senshis' or something like that. At the same time, he felt a strange feeling pressing down on his head, like negative vibes or something. Was this what sensing an aura felt like? He'd been told he could do that now. Did the negative vibes mean someone from the Negaverse was nearby?

Parsifal looked around, and sure enough there was a man standing there in a military-looking uniform, looking unhappy and kind of mean. "Oh, wow, you're my first Negaverse agent!" he said to the man. "I've never met one of you before! I mean, I've been out of touch for awhile, but I'd never met one before either."

He started bouncing around on the balls of his bare feet, fists raised. "So are we gonna fight or something? That's what we're supposed to do, right? Oh, I can't wait to use my magic on you!"

"Yay!" Parsifal cheered, still bouncing around but raising his arms. "My first fight! This is gonna be great!" Then the Negaverse agent summoned a dagger and threw it at him, and it wasn't so great any longer. Parsifal just barely bounced out of the way of the flying blade, but it sliced off the tail of his hood. He reached back and grabbed it, examining the startlingly clean cut, his amber eyes wide.

"s**t, you guys have real weapons, huh? Didn't expect that…"

Immediately the Senshi decided to call on his magical attack. He set the thought in his mind to really annoy and distract this guy and counted off on his fingers. "Eeny Meeny Miney MO!"

"Thank you," all four Parsifals said at the same time. They all began dancing and bouncing around the Negaverse agent in a very annoying manner, scrambling their positions so it would be nearly impossible to determine who was the real Senshi and who was just an alternate Senshi. Parsifal figured this would keep the guy distracted to the point of not being able to throw his dagger.

He was wrong.

The man threw his blade and punched the nearest Parsifal to him. The dagger whizzed past one of the Senshis, but the punch landed squarely on the other, which caused a very odd effect: the Senshi simply popped and scattered in a flurry of pink glitter.

And then there were three.

Parsifal -- the real one -- swung his leg around while the two remaining copies feigned blows and kicked the Negaverse agent square in the behind. Then the three quickly scrambled their positions again. "Ha, have at you!" they all said in unison.

Parsifal and his two copies formed a circle around the Negaverse agent and began dancing around him and singing tunelessly -- not in unison this time, just to be really annoying. Coming up on the man's backside, the Senshi gave him a kick and a shove just as he threw the dagger, and the blade missed its mark. However, when he circled around to the front he caught the punch square on his shoulder. "Ow," he said, which the copies didn't echo -- immediately giving himself away.

Oops.

With a cartoonish scramble the three Parsifals mixed themselves up again and began dancing away slowly from the enemy, again singing tunelessly. The real Parsifal could only hope the ruse held on long enough for him to get away, cause he was pretty clearly out of his league against this guy.

It was true, Parsifal's copies would only last a little while longer. Maybe it would be a wise idea to heed the Negaverse agent's words and get out while the getting was still good.

Once more the dagger flew through the air to hit another of the copies. It popped unceremoniously, leaving a shower of glitter in its wake -- and only two Parsifals, one of which was the increasingly nervous real Senshi.

"You speak wisely," the pair said in unison as they continued to dance away from the Nega and his magical reappearing dagger. "We gone." And with that, Parsifal and his one remaining copy turned and bolted toward the safety of the trees, both headed in different directions. The darkness of the night enveloped them just as the Senshi's magic ran out and the copy vanished.

Panting, Parsifal hid behind a tree, hoping against hope the Negaverse agent didn't come looking for him. He decided to wait awhile before heading home, just in case.
