Summer was drawing closer and closer and the different villages around Tendaji were beginning to plan their summer festivals. It was a tradition in Tendaji - to celebrate the Gods every year in the summer when spirits were high and food was at its most abundant.

All the races had their own gods to celebrate, whatever those might have been, and every person had their own feelings one way or the other.

[ What did they mean to you? With the summer fast approaching, it must be somewhere (no matter how small) on everyone’s thoughts. And what are your thoughts on the other culture’s gods? ]

Sethaeus was at the festival near his family's booth, using the shade as protection from the heat. He was far enough from the masses to look out, but still within range that he occasionally got bumped by a stray traveler. It was not his ideal work, but he knew his family would make some good money selling non-weapon good. Weapon racks, tools, toys, they all were popular items to catch the traveler's eye.

On top of that, a cousin of his was dabbling with making artistic sculptures with the scrap metal, and people seemed keen to look at those wears. He was happy she was making a name for herself and the family business, and hoped this would bring more business to his side of things so he could continue to develop his skills.

Seth found himself growing a bit drowsy as the day wore on, so much so that he didn't realize they had a stray guest until she spoke up. Sky blue eyes turned to look at the lightning girl before him, slowly glancing up and down to evaluate what she might be interested in.

However, it was clear that she was more keen to look at the art sculptures from his sister compared to the weapons and tools, and so he moved from his stool to stand and greet the potential customer.

"A hobby of sorts. Our family is well known for our metal crafting, and my cousin has decided to explore alternative crafts outside of weapons and tools...this is her first attempt to sell off her...sculptures..."

His reply was low and dry, but he was still tender when he grabbed the small Duruf sculpture made of spare scrap. It was a bit abstract, but still clear to those familiar with the small beast that it mimiced.

Her comment took him out of his thoughts, and he glanced up to look at her coolly. His look didn't contain any sort of anger or frustration at her response, even he questioned the use of metals in such an abstract way. He grew up focusing on form and intent, whereas this was more of an...art. But his cousin loved it, and it was a way for her to still keep in the family but be in her own way...and he wasn't going to judge her for such thoughts.

When Eslae quickly apologized, he shrugged a shoulder once and set the sculpture back down.

"They aren't for everyone, especially those looking for tools...but the younglings enjoy them, so she keeps making them."

Finally he nodded as if getting back on track, "Is there anything you might be looking for? We aren't flashing but our wares are balanced and guaranteed to last you quite some while."

If he were anyone else, Seth might have offered to let her take one to go. But alas he was pragmatic and practical, and so he simply watched as she examined them but eventually moved on. Besides, he was much more practiced at selling the other items than the trinkets. But he wasn't pushy, and so he nodded simply. Yet, she was here, which meant she was considering it. As his family always coached, once they were at the stall you better make sure they stick around until they purchase something.

His eyes narrowed at the question, and he hummed thoughtfully as he looked at the items before him.

"It..depends." He said steadily, stalling because he wasn't a traveler, "Are you planning to climb, or to sail?"

He thought long and hard for a moment, considering what tools might be convertible. Typically his family didn't deal with items to help travelers, beside the safety standpoint, but as he eyed Eslae he wasn't sure that she was necessarily looking for that. Either way, he could suggest an easy to conceal dagger along with something else. Upsale of sorts.

Then his eyes lit up, and his normally stoic expression brightened for a long moment. Turning, he dug through a small box to the side and pulled out a strange tool, turning back to the girl in front of him.

"I would recommend a small dagger you can conceal, for safety, but this is something else that is quite helpful. It's a folding tool that allows for multiple items to fan out...." Pulling it open, he showed the little tool with what looked like tweezers, a simple knife, and a sharp pointed item. All valuable tools for an on-the-go traveler.

Her outburst caught him off guard, out of character based on what she was giving off in terms of energy and excitement. Blinking at her with a neutral expression, he let out a slow hum before smiling slightly at her interest. This was a little project he made on the side, something his family wasn't super interested in selling. They were vendors for tools and weapons, and this small thing seemed more of a toy. But he believed in it, and she seemed to as well.

"I...I'm glad you like it." He said with a smile, before listing off a reasonable price for the use. Nothing more than any other tool, but still of value. He had learned early on how to price things.

"Sethaeus." He said simply, nodding and still the little smile on his lips, "Good luck with your travels. If you need anything and are stopping through, I'd be happy to help. Or fix that if it ever breaks."

He was glad to have sold something small and simple, but before he could linger on the thought too much a youngling had rushed over to check out the toys, and his attention was diverted from the lightning girl who was passing by. Later, he would find himself wondering if he might cross paths with her again to hear what use she got out of his little invention.
