Summer Festivals Solo or RP Format

Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7Summer was drawing closer and closer and the different villages around Tendaji were beginning to plan their summer festivals. It was a tradition in Tendaji - to celebrate the Gods every year in the summer when spirits were high and food was at its most abundant. All the races had their own gods to celebrate, whatever those might have been, and every person had their own feelings one way or the other. [ What did they mean to you? With the summer fast approaching, it must be somewhere (no matter how small) on everyone’s thoughts. And what are your thoughts on the other culture’s gods? ]

Being back in Zinris was a bit surreal. She felt the pressure and judgement of her sisters that she had left so many years ago. Yet, they stopped short of hostility once they saw her daughter. Their anger turned to curiosity to see the result of the stolen seed, and many were overly friendly with her daughter to the point that Zayana grew concerned and angry.
As a result, she didn't let them stay overnight in the camp, instead traveling to their own campgrounds before returning the next day.
Their timing was a bit convenient all things considered, because a festival was beginning to celebrate the 'great bloom' of the first Elaria children. Zayana wasn't a first, instead she was wished upon, but she still grew up part of the celebration and was glad to have arrived in time to honor her heritage.

Nayyara had a lot to consider these past few weeks. From traveling across the sea for the first time with a bunch of Earthlings, to navigating the thick jungles of Yael without catching the attention of dangerous guards, to meeting her first hybrid Aishan in the mists, to making her way into the bloomplace of her mother and seeing the extended sisterhood of Zinris. It was a time filled with a whirlwind of emotion, from happiness to anxiety to overwhelming uncertainty.
She knew the sisters of the island were curious more than welcoming, and the only reason they treated her mother kindly was because she was here. She wished and hoped that this wouldn't be a common trend at the other trees.
So when her mother insisted they camp away from the settlement, she kept quiet and didn't push, understanding the hesitancy and importance of playing things safe to the best of their ability.

They were moving through the brush and emerged at the entrance of the settlement. Every time she came back it seemed bigger than before, with more sisters wandering around and especially more Elaria. Every so often, she even saw an Elarian hybrid child, young and running around with sisters who seemed to embrace their unique traits.
Zayana hoped that they would grow up loved.
Turning to her daughter, her pride, Zayana smiled at the girl.
"Ready to see Elzira?" They wouldn't be able to approach the roots, but they'd at least get close enough to be shaded under her leaves.

Nodding eagerly, the girl was bright and excited. She looked around every which way as they moved toward the growing crowds. Some of the older sisters noticed them and seemed conflicted about moving away or moving closer, but a few of the younger ones openly stared at her teal dreads and light skin. Nayyara had met a few, but wished she could meet more. It was so much fun answering their questions and asking her own.
Finally, the crowd seemed to be thick enough where they needed to stop, and Nayyara looked up in awe at the tree branches that stretched above them.
If this was what Elzira looked like, she couldn't even imagine how Aisha was.

"Elzira has grown so much since I left..." Zayana said lowly, looking up at the branches that covered the area. Had she provided so much shade before? As she looked back down and around, the amount of younglings did show that Elzira was healthy.
To think they had faced a scare of the tree being sick so many years ago, and now she was thriving just like Aisha.
Zayana moved to wrap her arm around her daughter and just take in the atmospehere.

Leaning into her mother, Nayyara was silent and just listened to the soft hum of the discussion around them. It seemed like they were draped in a blanket, everything was quiet and all you could hear was the soft breeze in the trees.
"I'm sure Esena is growing too...hopefully she's this strong and healthy when we finally go home..."

Home. It was true that Esena and Kiros was home, but wasn't Elzira also home? As the sisters began to softly pray to the tree above, Zayana also closed her eyes and prayed. Prayed to her mother tree to forgive her for leaving so long ago, and pray in thanks that her seed brought Nayyara into her life.
With every struggle was a reward, showing the love and blessings of their great mothers. Zayana finally finished her silent prayer to ask for safe travels as they soon would continue their way through Tendaji and Belrea.

Nayyara closed her eyes and wished for the safety of her family and that she would be welcome across all of the Aishan camps. So far, she felt welcome if a bit of an oddity, but she wasn't attacked and for that she was grateful. She knew Aisha's camp would be the most challenging, and was most excited to travel to Belrea to see the tree they heard little about.
Opening her eyes, she just took in the sight and listened to the wind through the trees, before the Mystics came out into the open to start the next phase of the ceremony.

As the mystics completed the ceremony, the entire group was silent and respectful. Most Aishan ceremonies were like this, with internal communication with the great mothers and parties once the ceremony were done. So the two of them, near the outskirts of the celebration,
Once the mystics completed their ceremony, all of the sisters began to leave the area after their self reflection. Zayana turned to her daugther to see where she wanted to go.

The festival was very familiar, but considering they came from the seed of Elzira, it made sense. Nayyara kept quiet and patient, and when the other sisters left to go celebrate, she leaned more into her mother.
"Can we stay for a few more minutes?"

Smiling softly at her daughter, she nodded slowly and just looked back up at her mother tree. This might be the last time she'd see Elzira for awhile, though she swore she'd make sure to visit again on their way back if the trip permitted it. She thanked her great mother for blessing her trip across the sea, and trusting her to take care of her seed. If it weren't for Elzira's seed, they'd never have Esena and she'd never have Nayyara.
As the wind picked up for a moment, she swore she felt a response from her mother tree, acceptance filled her heart and she couldn't do anything to stop the small tear that fell down her cheek.

As she took in the feelings, the emotions and the energy of the space, Nayyara wished she could stay here longer and really get to know her mother's tree. But she knew this was simply a visit, and so she bowed her head once more in thanks, knowing she couldn't spend enough time expressing her gratitude to the large tree.
She hoped that some day she'd return, but if not, she left a little bit of her heart and love in that spot for Elzira to take and return.
Opening her eyes, she turned to her mother and smiled, ready to move on.

"Well then, let's go celebrate!" She said with a grin, "And if things work out, I'll take you to your grandmothers' secret place tomorrow. So don't go too crazy unless you want to sweat it out."
She may not have been as much of a slave driver as her mother, but Zayana would make sure her daughter didn't slack off in her work. Plus there was always the chance to see if her daughter was interested in riding now that she had her limbara again.
Yes, today was a good day, and she was glad she got to celebrate and show her daughter this part of her history. Then, they'd discover more of the Aishan world together.

The secret place? That was where they always trained when they were growing up. Grinning, she jumped in place and was nodded eagerly, "Of course! I'll get lots of rest!"
Well, after the party first. She wanted to see how the Elarians celebrated, and she did want to make some more friends.
Grabbing her mother's hand, she all but dragged her away, grateful to the tree in front of her but ready to move on and continue her journey through the world.
