"Nope! That's it!" Shutting the door behind him with more force than he had intended, Dexurn threw his hands up into the air in an angrily defeated gesture. There were things worth arguing about, and things not worth arguing about. Somehow, teens always seemed to focus on the things in the not worth it category. He found his daughter Shierra to be particularly adept at finding the irritating points to get into fiery spits over, and Dex had enough of hearing about her infamous battles. Trying to get her to ease off was about as successful as getting a zanteer to fly. "Shade, your daughter is going to end up locked in her room if she doesn't stop this nonsense. Honestly, the others don't act like that!" He rubbed his hands over his face and let out a world-weary sigh. "Teenagers.. Ugh! At least we're almost done with all this."

Oh my. Shadiya raised a brow at her husband's sudden and rather dramatic entrance. "Careful now. She's got our blood and last time i checked being locked up inside didn't work out well for anyone or rather when it did it was only when we allowed ourselves to be locked inside which resulted in some adventurous teens." She found herself teasing slightly as she crossed the room to rub her hands down Dexurn's back as if to appease his frustrations. The dancer had been rearranging flowers throughout their home, her thoughts occupied with recent news and hearing Dexurn's comments made it near impossible to keep a straight face. "Completely and totally done. " She repeated as she rested her chin on top of his shoulder, thankful that he couldn't see her rather glowing expression since she had slipped behind him. "Should I ask what happened with my daughter this time or should I dare distract you..." She mused quietly beneath her breath almost too mischievously.

"Pretty sure it's mostly your blood," he huffed, though a hint of play was teasing his lips. "Oh gods.. not in her room then. She's snuck out of there enough times... I'll have to build something special to make certain she's alone in there. Besides, it would only be until she stops being such a little-" he took a deep breath, letting his wife's touch stop him from saying anything too snarky, "-stops being so enthusiastic with her magic." Feeling her chin on his shoulder, he gladly tipped his head to lean it against Shade's for moral support. "I would love a distraction.. but she set fire to the banner over the florist shop again. Again! Between Shierra's youth and Minursha's excessive years, you'd think they could balance out into some kind of decent behavior." Groaning, his arms curved back to give Shadiya an awkward hug. "Please distract me~"

"Fair enough." Shadiya let out a chuckle as she considered Dexurn's proposal. "But Dex? Would you want her practicing magic within the manor?" The Oban reached her arms around her husband's waist so that she could give him a light squeeze. "I can try talking with her later and we'll reimburse the florist again." She mused quietly, her fingers tapping lightly against his solid form. She did worry that the flames could spread but so far nothing too terrible had happened and if anything she had faith that her daughter could keep things under some control. Now if only Shadiya had magic for herself then she could imagine that more than a florist shop would have been set ablaze over the years. Controlling emotions was not her forte and perhaps Dexurn was right that it was mostly her blood causing the more excitable events in their family. It wouldn't be such a horrible idea to seek out an instructor in the magical arts, right? Maybe that could help as well. Shadiya mused over the idea before her crimson gaze flickered back towards her husband, her head twisting so that she could place a light kiss against the side of his jaw.
"Well...I could suggest other activities or I could pick your brain about how you would feel about the realization that Pynar and Shierra won't be the last teenagers you have to raise?" She spoke quietly but her gaze was sparkling as she waited for the words to sink in. "Maybe if any more magic appears it could be water to keep those fires from scorching so many shop banners..."

Dex groaned even louder and shook his head. "Stop being right... This place would be an empty husk if she practiced in here. Already had a few close calls when it first started showing up. Guess I'll have to figure something else out." It was a triple blow of unrelatable with his child. He was not female, he had no magic skill, and he'd had a completely different childhood. Maybe it really would be best to leave such times to Shade... He listened quietly to Shade's words, ready for something to think about other than his current dis-..distress....... His throat went dry. "Okay, you've distracted me." He had to wiggle out of her grasp so that he could turn to see her face. "Are you-?" Ah, that glowing expression said it all. Despite his irritation from ten seconds ago, his own expression was brightening up with joy. "We are?!"

"Maybe we can entice more outdoor practice along the beach." Suggested Shadiya with a thoughtful frown. Maybe that would help? She truly wished they had someone else in the family with magic to rely on but any magical relatives she would have had were long gone from this world. They would just hope for the best and give Shierra time to figure things out as Kyril had. Shadiya's thoughts of magic quickly fluttered away when Dexurn turned towards her. "We are. Though I didn't know how excited you would be to hear it since that means more future teens." She teased with a grin. If anything it seemed their family was always constantly full of surprises. After so many years she had thought they were finished but once again it seemed they were blessed with new life. Shadiya's hands floated down towards her stomach at the thought. It was still early yet so there wasn't enough to show a huge bump but the signs were there.

"While the thought of more teens is intimidating, the before and after is well worth it. ....Okay, maybe even part of the teen age is fun to watch, too. Just a little." His hands reached out to rest over Shade's, reassuring his excitement for what was to come. More babies! Their family was growing! Dexurn laughed happily, scooping Shadiya up into his arms for a delighted spin and a deep smooch. He could hardly believe it! How would the other children react? Would they be able to be around to support the new arrival, or arrivals? "Looks like it's still pretty early. Do you know any details yet?"

Shadiya chuckled. "Fair enough. I guess those years are payment for the amount of adorableness we get from the before and the reliability that we hopefully get for the after." That was one thing she was confident in for their family - support and strength whenever someone else needed it. Even if things were rough with their teens on occasion it didn't stop her from believing in their ability to help one another along the way. A laugh escaped her lips as she was suddenly swept through the air and the woman returned the kiss before looping her arms around Dexurn's neck for support. "Well according to the ole Matori healer down in the village the tides are coming in going in pairs....so maybe we'll see more than one baby. It's fairly early still though so I don't know how much of that I can believe. However, my stomach has been pitching quite a fit lately...more so than the last couple of times." She admitted with a sheepish expression.

"The tides? If she's right, I'll start paying more attention in the future." What if it was twins again? Well, the first twins had turned out just fine, so why worry? Plus they had a lot more experience and resources under their belts than the first time around. Mention of her stomach brought up Dex's own bashful expression and he gently set her back down onto her feet. "I suppose I shouldn't be spinning you around like that, then" he mused, his arms slipping around Shade's waist to give both support and affection. "How are you right now? Need anything? Want me to make you something?" Protective husband mode was already kicking in, feeling the urge to give his pregnant wife whatever she needed.

"I suppose we'll find out in a few more months." Teased Shadiya lightly before she was placed back down onto the ground. The Oban gave a slight pout towards her husband before shaking her head. "It comes in waves so I'm not completely out of commission just yet." She protested quietly before pondering his next question. Did she need anything? Shadiya's crimson gaze skimmed over their foyer, her expression thoughtful as she reflected on all the rooms in their manor. "I suppose we could turn the guest room into a nursery so that we don't bother someone else's room." If anything she could probably turn more things around room wise or ask for an expansion to their home but that was a worry for later. For now Shadiya was content to lean against Dexurn, her arm looping through his as she gave him a bright smile. "Such a supportive man I have." She commented almost playfully. "I think I'm fine for now but perhaps some fresh air? I think we may be out of my favorite tea leaves so we should stock up on those next time we are near the village. I have the feeling I'll need a lot of that soon....what about you? Do you need anything?" She asked playfully. If anything she would be more worried about him worrying perhaps!

A few months? Gods, it was a bit scary to put it that way. In less than a year, they would be back to diapers and nursing and crying and sleepless nights... At least they wouldn't have to worry about money. "I think using Koril's room would be fine. It's still fairly cleared out from his last visit, and I doubt they'll be making the trip here again any time soon. If he does, that's what the guest room is for." That was the sad part about children; eventually; they grew up and moved on to their own adventures. A parent could only hope they kept in touch.
Shade's smile brought him back from his thoughts. "Then fresh air and tea you shall have. I wouldn't mind a trip if you're okay getting back a little bit later than usual." Heading for the door, his brow rose with surprise. "Me? I'm fine! You're the one that'll need spoiling for the next few months~" He chuckled lightly and pressed a kiss to Shade's hair. "I hope carrying gets easier with each pregnancy~"

"True." As much as Shadiya was loathe to admit it their children were growing up and going onto their own paths. It probably would be a time before Koril would need his room again...if ever. Shadiya pursed her lips in silent protest at the fact her babies were growing up. She knew she had to accept it but still!
"I have no appointments so why not?" Replied Shadiya with a chuckle of her own. "You sure? Not even anything special for your nerves?" She teased playfully with a nudge of her hips. "I suppose we'll see how easy it is soon enough. " Shadiya moved as she spoke, her hands reaching for a scarf so that she could wrap it around her crimson curls.

Nodding lightly as the trip was approved, he let her grab her scarf while he scooped up and hooked on his small pack. "Maybe we'll take the wagon. If we're buying out the tea shop, I don't plan to carry it all on my back." While it was mostly a tease, he knew it would be best to purchase a fair amount to last most of the pregnancy and that wasn't going to get carried back! "Besides, I don't think we have anything left from when Pynar was a baby. We might see something we'll need and want to get."

"Do you think the wagon will be enough?" Quipped back Shadiya with a playful grin. "Still, I think you're right. We could make orders with the artisans in town as well. " They didn't even keep much of the furniture after a few years did they? Though to be fair none of them had been expecting this little surprise.
"I wonder if we'll have more girls or if we'll get some more boys for the family?" She tilted her head thoughtfully as she tied the scarf into place and started to shrug on a silk shawl to block out the ocean sun.

Dex snorted and gave Shade a light nudge. "Well, it should be able to carry the first order without a problem." He held the door open for Shade and took a deep breath of the ocean breeze. They were so lucky to be able to raise children here! "At the least, we can get estimates for what we know we'll be needing. Start out with figuring out the cost for one and can double it just in case there's two in there." He certainly wouldn't mind if it was twins again...
Boys and girls? "Ah, we're going to have to think about names again," he groaned. That had been the hardest part with the last three. Kyril and Koril were namesake inspired, but there hadn't been anyone else to name further children after. "Hopefully boys. They've been easier." Again, a partial tease and a partial truth. Boys were just easier to relate to, obviously.
