For the first time in forever, he had been told by that General he had been assigned to that he had to go out and drain some energy. It was fine with him, he didn't have much better to do and the weather had gotten warmer. The main problem was his hair being so long powered and the fact that the wind had decided to come out tonight. Many times his hair had whipped in front of and in his face, making it hard to see where he was going or looking at.
Why didn't they get hair ties or something when they powered up?
It was something that he tended to forget about after having not been powered for a while. He always promised to himself to bring some when he did transform and it never ended up happening. And now he was trying to find some civilians to drain while fighting with his hair that decided instead of staying behind his head that moving in front would be better.
And then he felt the aura of a White Moon Senshi and sighed. The park really wasn't the best place for trying to drain people was it?

The wind tonight was bothering Puck, too. Leaping between rooftops was hazardous, as he'd found out -- a gust caught him mid-air and he nearly missed one roof, giving him quite the scare. So he decided to patrol on foot, and the best place in Destiny City to do that was the park. Plenty of trees and underbrush to hide behind, which made it a favorite place for Chaos agents to hunt as well. Only they were hunting those they could drain energy from or steal the starseeds of; he was hunting them.
He prowled now between the shadows of the trees, checking his senshi phone. A Chaos type was running around here somewhere, a corrupted senshi by the readout on his phone; they were just as bad as Negaverse agents, sometimes worse. Puck was slowly approaching them, so he moved as silently as he could, his footsteps on the grass masked by the wind rustling the leaves in the trees.
Finally he spotted them. Yep, a corrupted senshi, seemingly fighting their wind-blown hair. Hiding behind a tree, he picked up a rock and tossed it out in the general area of his target, then carefully peered around the tree, just to see what they'd do. This was his favorite game: Spook The Enemy.

Unfortunately for the rock, it was missed by Versailles still dealing with his hair, and while it had hit the tree that he was next to, he dismissed it as the sound of a walnut or something.
Did they even have those trees here? Whatever, Versailles was into Botany after all. Still, with the sound it had distracted him from his hair for a bit and made him realize that there was a Senshi around here, most likely a Super one. And probably hiding along with him.
Well, that just wouldn't do! Versailles was meant to stand out after all, even if that made him more of a target. So he decided to step out and look around to see if he could see his target in the darkness. Unfortunately he couldn't and he sighed. "Well, if you're going to hide all night then this just wouldn't be fun at all now would it? You're going to have to do something sometime or else I'm just going to keep trying to find people to drain..." He said in a somewhat sing-songy voice.
He wasn't one for fighting, but he didn't want to stand around here with an Order character and just wait for the inevitable of either battling or one of them having to leave, and it being him.
His hair swung into his face again.

Aw, damnit, long-haired Corrupt fancy boy didn't want to play Spook the Enemy with Puck. That was disappointing. Probably too busy fussing with his hair, which the wind was playing havoc with apparently. Puck didn't have to worry about that with his dreads, for which he was thankful; they were weighty enough that even a strong wind like tonight wouldn't move them much.
The Super Senshi stepped out from behind his hidey-hole tree, a scowl on his face as he studied his opponent for the evening. "Having some trouble there, mate? I could cut it all off for you…" He couldn't really, since he didn't have a weapon of any kind, but the threat sounded good.
"Can't have you running round draining people all night, now can we? I'm going to have to do something about that." Pointing at the Corrupt, he smirked, "Wild Copse."
Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Wild Copse Puck points at his target and calls out the attack name, and a dense patch of forest undergrowth typically reaching about waist-high springs up around the feet of his target. Along with the undergrowth entangling the target's feet, there are also young trees surrounding them with this attack, acting as a cage. The undergrowth, extending in about a 10-foot radius around the target, consists of a tangle of ivy, ferns, shrubs and small saplings atop slippery moss and leaf litter underfoot. The trees stand about 10-12 feet tall and are spaced so that it is nearly impossible to squeeze one's body between them. It is still possible for the enemy to reach their arms through the trees and use ranged attacks, however, so Puck basically casts it and runs. He has to be within 15 feet of his target to use this; if the target can get outside the radius before the undergrowth or trees appear, it can be dodged. It lasts around 30 seconds before dissipating. He can use this up to twice per battle.

Versailles shrugged. "I wouldn't mind. The hair comes with powering up, not that it's naturally this long." If he had known then he probably wouldn't have joined. Oh who was he kidding, he wouldn't have had a choice in joining or not anyway, so it's not as though he would have been able to protest the hair.
But at least he had managed to drag the Senshi out, and he couldn't help but make a face at the other's hair. Others said that dreadlocks were clean but he just couldn't see how.
Suddenly though a dense forest was around him and he could feel roots and other foresty-things around his boots. Interesting! "I see, so this is your power then. It's very good for trapping your opponents I would think." He tried to lift a leg and could tell that if he attempted to move forward it wouldn't work. "It looks like you got me. But how about I show you something a little different." He said before he looked where he thought the Senshi was. Snapping his finger he said, "Share the Splendor."
Unfortunately for him, the Super Order's attack did not keep the wind from blowing his hair in his face still. He couldn't really tell who he was fighting tonight. The other Senshi or this mass of unneeded soft keratin.
Quote:
Share the Splendor With this attack, Versailles snaps his finger and let's off a brilliant light shines down on his opponent. A target within a 10 foot radius is suddenly put in fine jewels, gems, and/or other things that would make the target feel splendor and would distract them. Lasts 25 seconds. Can be used twice in battle.

s**t. This guy didn't have a regular, normal physical attack, oh no. He had some crazy finger-snapping magical glow-up attack. A obnoxiously bright light suddenly shined down on Puck, like some kind of spotlight, momentarily dazzling him. He looked down and his uniform was covered in gems and sequins and jewels and there was a fancy robe.
He couldn't help himself. He laughed.
The situation was too ridiculous. His "attack," for what it was worth, locked the enemy up in a woodland prison and prevented physical attacks, but it did nothing against magical attacks; this guy's "attack" dressed you up in pearls and slplendor but did nothing physical. This was what happened when two people with defensive powers encountered one another, apparenlly.
"Looks like we're at a stalemate," Puck cackled, spreading his be-robed arms and howling with laughter at the sequins. "You can't run, and I can't attack! This is too funny."

Versailles grinned. At least the Senshi had a good attitude about all of this. No need to be at each other's throats all the time. "I'm glad you enjoy it. It may not be much, but I like to think that it fits me quite well and is a good expression of my magic. And I have to say that your outfit looks quite amazing. You should see if you can add a bit more to it sometime. Though I'm sure it would just disappear the next time you powered down. A pity isn't it? That we can't enjoy such fine things for very long." Versailles always though his outfit could use a bit more "oomph". Perhaps something shiny? His belt appeared to be the only thing that could sparkle, though his the gold parts appeared to give some off as well. It looked best in the light.
Soon the Order Senshi's attack went away and so did Versailles. He could only sigh as the other Senshi's fine outfit went away. He shrugged his shoulders and moved his feet a little now that they were finally free. "Well now, we've gotten a taste of each other's powers. We can continue on as we were or I could leave." He didn't care too much to start punching other faces. That was best left for monsters such as that smoke one or the weird Circus ones. If the Super had been ugly, he might have considered it though. It wouldn't have been as though a punch would make it any worse!

Puck continued to chuckle at the outfit the Corrupt Senshi's magical attack had given him. "I gotta say, mate, it's pretty fabulous. Yeah, it's a pity we can't make any modifications to our outfits, innit? Oh well, at least we don't have to wash them or send them to the dry cleaners -- they show up the next time like nothing happened to them, right?"
Soon enough both of their attacks faded away and they were left standing there in the park in the middle of the night. "I'm usually the sort to start punching," Puck said, "but after that, I can't say I'm much in the mood for fighting right now. You don't seem the aggro sort at all, so it'd be like me using you as a punching bag, an' I'm not going to do that." The Corrupt was having enough trouble fighting his hair -- he didn't need any further trouble from Puck.
"What d'you say we call it a draw then? Leave on level terms with each other. You promise not to hurt anyone tonight, and I'll promise not to beat the ******** out of you. Deal?"

Versailles raised an eyebrow at the use of the word "aggro" but let it slide. Perhaps it was a video game term or something. It sounded a bit like it at least. He did shrug at the other's suggestion. "That's fine with me, though I think we could have used better language." He said with a smile. He wasn't one for such crassness.
"I'm only here because I have to be anyway, but I can leave for tonight. It doesn't matter to me anyway." He didn't take any great pleasure in draining energy, though he wasn't against it either. It was just something he had to do to continue to be a part of the Negaverse was all.
With that he bowed slightly to the other. "This is where we part ways then. Perhaps next time we'll meet and we can, as you say, try and beat the ******** out of each other." He replied, and with that he teleported away, far enough so that the Senshi could no longer sense him, before he powered down and went back in the direction of his home, running a hand through his hair, glad that it was no longer flying into his face.
