This was a bad idea. Dinara knew it was a bad idea to go out and meet Cale again but...but she had to know if he was going to show up. Though...what she would do if he did show up was a completely different story...but...she had showed up so…
...That was what mattered, right?
Quietly, she sat down on the curb where they had sat before and fiddled with the hem of her dress, chewing on her lip and looking the epitome of awkward. Uncomfortable.
...Like she was somewhere that she didn’t belong. Which...well. She was.
Dinara gave a soft huff and drew her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and resting her head on her knees. If he didn’t show up...well. That would just mean she would give up! She wouldn't ever power up again, and she’d go back to being...as normal as she could be but...well. Obviously that was what was going to happen, so there was no use thinking of a but.

The heels of Caledonite's boots clicked against the concreate as he strode down the sidewalk. He'd been a little distracted with things and had lost track of time. With any luck, Dinara hadn't immediately taken off when she saw that he wasn't there exactly on time. But when he rounded the corner and saw a pool of hair, he sighed. "Dinara." He called softly, hoping not to startle her. Never mind that his energy signature was probably enough to already set her on edge. "I'm sorry. I got a little, distracted with uh- He made a grimace, probably bet not to get into details. "I lost track of time. I'm sorry." Caledonite moved closer, slowly. "Dinara, hon. Are you alright Dear?"

Dinara stiffened at the sound of the voice, and slowly she looked up, staring for a long, long moment at Caledonite. “...You...actually showed up?” That...was utterly surprising...and she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about it...but...he had actually shown up…
There was a strange buzzing that began to swell in the page’s ears and she swallowed, shaking her head after a moment. “...I didn’t...expect you to actually show up...I’m not…” ...Not sure what to do now. Not sure how to take that information.
“...Not...really sure...what that means…”
Tearing her eyes away from the Captain, Dinara looked back down at her dress, once more fiddling with the fabric. “...Why did you come? I mean. I know we planned on it...but why did you actually come?”

"I-...yes? Of course I did." Caledonite said, confused. Hadn't this been the plan? This is what she wanted wasn't it? The Captain tilted his head to the side, throwing her a curious look. "...I told you I would... This isn't the first time I said I'd be back for someone." He frowned and moved to sit by Dinara, but keeping a small gap between them less she get skitish for space. "I told you I would. If me showing up here every week is what it takes to keep you from squashing your potential, then I'm going to do it. Chaos be damned. "Unlike the other around here. I'm not going to give up on others so quickly."

Dinara nodded slowly, swallowing and giving a noise that sounded like a mixture of sadness and relief. “...I’m not used to that. I guess...but I’m glad...glad you’re here…I’ve been thinking about you a lot. And um...the. The stuff. The coming over to Chaos...it might be nice to not feel so weak and useless…”
She chewed on her lip and shrugged. “...And to forget things...I think that sounds kind of nice too...honestly...if that doesn’t make me sound stupid…”
After a moment, DInara scooted just a little closer to Caledonite, leaning to rest her head against his shoulder. “...Hey. Do you think my starseed is pretty? If...I promise that I trust you...would you take it out and describe it for me…? I...I’m really curious about it...and I trust you...You won’t hurt me. You came back.”

Caledonite tilted his head, regarding her curiously. "And just... what, are you thinking about exactly?" He flexed his fingers, suddenly unsure with himself. "You will feel weak and useless in the very beginning. Or at the very least, I did. But perhaps that was just because I was drained before hand. It might be different for those who aren't." His gaze dropped though. "You would remember more then I did." He admitted. "I lost almost everything when I was corrupted. I knew a few things mind you. My powered name, who it was that screwed me over. But everything else? Who I was? From things to family... to birthdays... Hell I couldn't even tell you if I had any lovers prior to being Caledonite." It had all gone up in smoke. He froze for a moment when she leaned on him, but he relaxed almost as quickly. Though he did make a face when she asked about her starseed. "Din... Do you realize the irony in that? You say I won't hurt you... But I have to hurt you in order to get your starseed." Caledonite sighed, leaning against her. "I don't know what mine looks like you know. But lets see.... If I had to hazard a guess on what yours looks like... I would like to think that its full of warm sunset colors... cool sunrise colors. Sometimes it probably looks like a soft rainbow like your dress. Other times it might sparkle and shimmer pretty metallic colors as if it were glitter." He laughed softly. "I don't know about you, but I think that fits your... how did you put it? 'Sparkling personality'?"

For a moment, Dinara felt herself hesitate, both at his rejection of telling her what her starseed looked like...and the implication that maybe...corrupting wasn’t a good idea. But...that was…
She drew away from him, frowning, her brows pulling together in confusion. “...You were the one who was saying that I’m weak as a cosmos page…and that you’re stronger. You can defend yourself…I’m not talking about just the beginning. Mairalite told me it would hurt. She showed me some of what it would feel like, but…”
That wasn’t a necessary fact to just tell Caledonite, but she felt her anger rising just a bit.
“I trust you.” She said softly, looking away. Trusted? It wasn’t past tense...she didn’t think it was, at least.
“Don’t you want me to come to your side? To...to leave behind all this...stupid and be beautiful like Marialite? And you? Don’t you think it would make me happier? Why are you trying to talk me out of it? And I don’t care if it hurts. I want to know what it looks like.”
Dinara grit her teeth and hesitated, looking back towards the captain and reaching for his hand, moving it to the center of her chest.
“So, look at it, and tell me. Or. Maybe I won’t pass out so quickly this time and you can just show me. But I want to see it. I want to know.”

"I can not help you, if you are still Cosmos. People will assume the worst every time, and ask questions later. Believe it or not, I want to create as few problems for you as possible." It would hurt. There was no denying the corruption would hurt. She would be fortunate, if willing, that the corruption would be her choice. Maybe her ache wouldn't be such a vivid reminder.
"Of course I want you to come to my side. As does Marialite. Galaxite will love you as well." His gaze snapped to her then. "I never said you weren't beautiful." Caledonite grumbled. Sure, Dinara might look better with darker colors, but that did not mean he thought any less of how she looked now. "You are beautiful Dinara, make no mistake of that."
Caledonite growled, shoving his hand through her chest when she moved it without hesitation. "I did not want to hurt you Dinara. Do not force my hand like this again. Do you understand me?" He said, closing his hand around her star seed and giving it a swift yank. The Captain frowned, opening his fingers to reveal the star seed. "It is beautiful. Just as you are, My Dear." He said, holding it up for her to see, if she was still conscious that was.

Dinara just huffed again at his words, but her eyes widened when he pushed his hand inside her chest...he was being rough...it didn’t…
It hurt. She didn’t expect him to actually hurt her like this...and then that feeling of rushing...something as the starseed was taken out...oh.
The page’s vision began to darken the moment he began to tug it and she slumped against Caledonite, struggling with all of her might to keep her eyes open...even for just a moment. She wanted to catch a glimpse. “...not...feel…” She mumbled, seeing the hint of a glimmer before the world went fully black, with the thought and memory of Kanan doing the same to her as she succumbed to unconsciousness.
...Hopefully Cale wouldn’t run away though...

Caledonite grabbed at her when she slumped over. He had tried to warn her. Gently, Cale returned to glimmering starseed to Dinara and almost as gently, scooped her up before jumping up on to one of the near by rooftops. It was probably best to get out of direct line of sight... Never quite knew who was watching in the windows as such. The Captain laid her down, careful of her head and sat a short distance away. He watched for any sign of trouble, both from the surrounding area, and from her... Just in case something went wrong. "Dinara?" Cale called out softly. "Dinara, I need you to wake up Dear..." He didn't exactly sit facing her, but he had taken a hold of her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

The page wrinkled her nose as she felt herself being moved, and made a sound of protest when it felt like she was no longer being held. No longer being cradled.
...Her hand was warm though.
Finally Dinara opened her eyes slowly and looked at the Captain, giving an over dramatic sigh. “...Don’t know...if you were trying to...be a jerk...but that wasn’t as nice as the other times...you could have been more gentle...maybe if you hadn’t yanked it...I could have stayed awake to see it…”
She moved to rest herself against his chest, all but climbing into his lap, folding herself up and sighing. “...Marialite was gentle with it. You knew it was going to hurt anyway...you didn’t have to dig your point in…” There were tears beginning to collect in her eyes, and she swiftly blinked them away, pushing the thoughts of Kanan out of her mind, pushing the thoughts of everything else from her mind.
“...You didn’t run away...You’re still here...I like that.”

Caledonite turned when she sighed, but chuckled at her dramatics. "It's not my fault you didn't like the description I gave you." He sat patiently as she rearranged herself on him before, resting his head on top of hers. "I have been known to be a bit of a jerk though..." The Captain wrapped his arm's loosely around her, keeping her steady just in case she still felt off. "Mmm.. But did you pester Marialite with getting it? Perhaps I might have been more inclined to show you, had I not known you like sharing that special spark with others..." Marialite was one thing... He could learn to share with Marialite... Others though... Perhaps... Perhaps not. Only time would tell. "Maybe I'm just jealous and want it to myself. Did you ever think of that?"
He chuckled again, picking up his head to look at her. "But did I prove my point?" He asked, brushing hair out of her face. Cale moved to brush the tears from her eyes but Dinara quickly saw to that herself. "Are you alright?" He asked softly. Realistically, he knew that no. She wasn't 'alright'. He had just put her through quite a bit. "I did not leave Galaxite, nor did I leave Marialite. I promised them both just as I promised you. I will not leave you."

“No idea why those two stay with you if that’s how you try and woo someone…” DInara had an almost playful edge to her voice...though she knew absolutely less than nothing about wooing. But. She had been having some strange dreams...and honestly...she was starting to think that she might want to be woo’d.
“The thing is, people want to be woo’d, Cale...they don’t want you to be rude.” She tilted her head up slightly and stuck her tongue out at him. “To be fair, on the jealousy thing...the other two...were before I ever met you! So you can’t be jealous of something that happened before we met. And...I asked for you to take it out...and I knew full well what I was doing. Unlike with Kanan. And Marialite only squeezed it a little...she didn’t take it out.”
Dinara paused and cleared her throat quickly, her cheeks turning pink.
“I um...Yeah. I’m all right...I didn’t want to pass out...I...I’m fine. Seriously.”
And...she was. Comfortable even.
“You didn’t prove any point other than you’re kind of a jerk, and you won’t leave...so...you’re my jerk I guess. So...there. I’ve now claimed you or...or something.”

"I can think of a few reasons..." Caledonite said, a sly smirk growing a cross his face. "They liked the danger, you like danger... Apparently I'm all of ya'll's type.."
Cale snorted, rolling his eyes. "Put that tongue away before I take it." He threw her a flat, unamused look when she brought up Kanan, again. "I can be jealous of someone you continue to bring up, who might I remind you, has deserted you... while you're sitting in my lap." The Captain grumbled. "I am right here, you know." How rude.
"I was not going to squeeze it. Not on top of everything else. I told you, they are fragile. I did not want to risk it shattering." If he had accidentally shattered it... Caledonite sighed. "Perhaps another time maybe..."
Caledonite chuckled again, leaning back against the edge of the roof and taking her with him. "So I proved a point. Just not the main one." He hummed softly. "Are you sure it is not I that has claimed you?"

Dinara snorted and raised her eyebrows. “...You’re really that jealous of him? I don’t see why...he was my first...my first friend in all of this...and I miss him. There...there was no closure with him...he just...ran away and I never got to tell him it was okay or anything.” She sighed and pressed closer against him as he moved. “...I had a really big crush on him. Okay? I’m pretty sure he was my first for real crush...it...was kind of yucky to just. Lose him like that.”
And it had hurt something awful too. It sucked.
But...he did have a point. She was in his lap. And it was quite comfortable here. “...Mairalite didn’t squeeze it hard. Just wanted to show me how it was going to feel when chaos was pushed into it...besides. I did ask for it. And it wasn’t that bad. She was really gentle…” Dinara glanced up at his face again and then grabbed one of Caledonite’s arms and wrapped it around herself. “...I don’t think I’d mind if you have.”
