School/Occupation: No longer in school, dropped out just after Christmas. Got his GED though. No real plans for a job as of yet, just moved out to the City. He has a gig online, but. That’s not something he’ll talk about unless you’re already a subscriber.

Hobbies:
Performance Art: Art has always been a passion for Dusty, and his tiny town was no place to really...stretch his creativity. Obviously, New York was his first choice of big cities to go to...but it is prohibitively expensive to live there...so Destiny City seemed like a good backup plan. Thus far, he hasn’t actively participated in anything...but he has ideas™ and once he gets fully settled and finds people with the same passions...well. You’ll be able to find him in galleries, on the stage, and maybe even on the street corner! ...Legally.

Knitting: Knitting is something he was taught by his babysitter years and years ago, and it’s something that Dusty hasn’t seen the need to give up. He has a stash of yarn under his bed and works on various projects when he can’t sleep or just needs to unwind. Most of the time he’s wearing at least something that he’s made, be it gloves or a hat. He gets cold easily, and buying yarn is a lot cheaper than buying a ready made jacket.

Photography: Dusty enjoys the peace that comes from taking pictures. He doesn’t let this hobby get out very often, because people like to try and take advantage of it...not to mention photographing people...well. That’s not really his cup of tea, but he loves it. There’s something magical in the ability to be able to take a moment and freeze it, capturing it for the rest of time. It’s quite powerful, when you think of it that way.

Virtues:
Enthusiastic: When Dusty decides that something is worth enjoying, he doesn’t go in half way. He’s always one hundred percent from the get go, and pours his heart and soul into things, wanting to show that he’s there and he cares. And, it’s always easier throwing yourself into something rather than watching from the sidelines. Besides, people like you more when you’re interested in things.

Observant: Dusty knows how to read a room. He doesn’t miss much, and he very much enjoys to just watch people. It makes him a good listener, and he’s pretty good at getting out of quarrels simply by nature of seeing when someone is upset and either...avoiding them like the plague, or trying to figure out what happened to set them off...and fix it before they can explode at him. All in all, he feels that this makes him a better person, and wonders why nobody else can see all the things about people that he does. Plebs.

Imaginative: Dusty enjoys thinking outside the box. He never has issues in finding solutions to problems, even if there really isn’t a solution to be found. He has wild ideas, but for every dozen or so crazy ones, there’s a good one in the bunch. And he’s always useful to have while visiting an escape room, that’s for sure...though he’s only done one. They got the second highest record for the time to escape! He likes his flights of fancy, and figures that it’s a quirk of his...but one that really shapes who he is.

Flaws:
Impulsive: Thinking before acting? Who’s that? Dusty hasn’t heard of him. He doesn’t care about consequences until he’s waist deep in them. He didn’t plan this move to Destiny City, just packed up a suitcase and his pet pig and set out. And now here he is, not planning anything else and living in a crappy apartment. Yolo is the truest statement in the world for Dusty. It’s his mantra.

Narrow-minded: If you have opinions or ideas that go against what Dusty thinks should be the ideal opinions and ideas...he just won’t listen to them. He lived a very conservative small town life growing up, and he’s tired of it. He’ll listen to you the first time, form an opinion, and if he disagrees, he won’t bother trying to listen again. You have one chance to make a good impression.

Insecure: Dusty has never really felt like he had a place in the world. Sure, he can pretend with the best of them, but the snarky grin and amusing quips are just a great way to hide the fact that he kind of really hates himself. He’s good at keeping this feeling as buried and repressed as possible, but sometimes it shows up in ways he’d rather it not. Internalizing might not be the best option...but damn, therapy is expensive!
