Personality- Shy almost to the point of being a recluse, Niiran is a softspoken young hybrid who rarely leaves his bookshop for... well... anything. He claims it's because he needs to watch the store, but the simple truth is that the Siamese is terrified of venturing out into the world alone, especially into the crowded and bustling city that lays just outside of his precious bookshop. Yet in his shop, and in any place where Nii feels comfortable, you could hardly hope to find anyone sweeter or more thoughtful than him. However, Nii can easily be startled and made uncomfortable, and when he does, he'll either shut down completely or go into a wild (and often destructive) panic.

Personality- What Varlen lacks in social ability, Anvion more than makes up for it. It's usually Anvion who manages the social aspects and gets to know people first. She's very upbeat and easy to get along with (unlike Varlen), and can often be seen keeping an eye on Varlen, making sure that he's taking good care of Bergerac. Although her general open attitude is radically different from most elves, who still tend to follow their 'outdated' codes, Anvion still tends to have some typical elven mindsets on some topics.
Brief history- Anvion was the only child between the high priest and priestess of the elven god Naralis Analor, the elven god of healing and watcher of souls. She began her life in training as a successor to her parents as the role of high priestess, but Anvion had different plans in mind. She was a restless girl, always wanting to know what lay beyond her home city, eager to see and learn it all. Yet she grew up under the influences of the god, even falling in love with another elf who also was training to become a cleric of the temple. Yet after a brief romance between the two, he left her for another woman, and so Anvion finally decided to leave and find her own life. Having always been fascinated by books and lore, she became an adventurer seeking out lost and forgotten scraps of knowledge. Along her travels she met up with Varlen, and the two have proved to be an almost inseperable team. However, at the moment she is taking a break from adventuring, choosing t spend the next bit of her life raising her adopted children. However, such a period of quiet is not bound to last, and she'll be more than likely to set out on adventure soon enough.

Personality- Varlen is a quiet, frightfully intelligent person who's dealt with enough bigotry and murder attempts to last him several lifetimes. As a result, he's fairly bitter and rather slow to trust, though he can become quite a good friend over time. He's usually rather blunt and to the point, with very little emphasis on manners and less tolerance for flowery speech. Although he can appear to be somewhat rude and even arrogant at times, he actually DOES try to be polite. He just has little patience for social etiquette and the like.
Brief history- The ninth out of eighteen children in a powerful noble drow family, Varlen's young life was dictated by his harsh older sisters and mother. Being born in a society where males are treated much like second-class citizens, Varlen was rarely treated with any respect or kindness whilst growing up. Still, he showed an enormous magical aptitude from a young age, which caused his mother to treat him as a favored child later on, something some of his other siblings found to be... dangerous. In a world where one must kill and claw their way to the top, those at the higher ranks had good reason to become wary of their underlings. Varlen's elder brother, Deyrni, was one such case. He feared Varlen would someday kill him to become the new first son in the household, and so devised several schemes to kill off Varlen. All failed, and Varlen was at long last forced to kill him. In a rage, one of his elder sisters tried to kill him in revenge, but Varlen also struck her down.
Now, males killing males was all right, but a male killing a female, even in self-defense, was punishable by death. Varlen knew this, and so was forced to flee in order to escape his family's wrath. Since then he's worked in a variety of places: as a strategic advisor in the famous drow mercenary band Bregan D'aerthe, a magic store keeper, and even an adventurer, as well as a variety of other jobs. However, most jobs have ended in some form of disaster, so now he has decided to work mostly on his own, away from prying eyes and assassination attempts.

Personality- Flitch is, without a doubt, probably the easiest person in Anvion's family to get along with. He posesses an almost ridiculous level of intelligence for someone of his age, and posesses quite the ability to adapt comfortably in most any social situation. He's sweet, he's fun, and he likes just about everyone. Flitch is also rather mature for someone of his age, and so is often treated like an adult at most times, rather than a kid.

Personality- Lewin is the resident trouble-maker of Anvion's place. He's hyper, speedy, and always armed with some prank or joke and is ready to set it off at any time (preferrably when it's least expected). However, he does listen to whatever Anvion has to say to him, and she's probably the only person the unruly cupid will obey without question. He's also rather picky about who he likes... and if he dislikes you, you'll certainly know it.
Brief history- Lewin was born in Gaia to a small clan of cupids and pixies. His childhood was normal enough for one of his kind. He learned all the traditions and customs of both the pixies and the cupids, being how his grandmother was a pixie and this clan had little regard for boundaries between the two clans.
Alas, it was not to last. When Lewin was about 12 or so, Gaia became infatuated with this fad of capturing and exchanging cupids for Valentine's day. Since Lewin has the appearance of a full-blooded cupid, he was captured and passed along as a gift in a cage from person to person, until he finally somehow landed with Anvion. Anvion was infuriated with this hoorendous fad of giving sentinent creatures as gifts like they were toys, and so she released Lewin, telling him to go do whatever he wanted. Lewin was shocked by Anvion's generosity, and so has sworn to remain in her service for as long aas he lives, for he feels he owes her his life for releasing him from captivity. And so he stays, remaining loyal to her even now.

Personality- Mysterious and enigmatic, Letinas is a figure who is rarely seen, even in Anvion's own home. He prefers to keep to himself in the basement, which is where he resides. Letinas is hardly one for conversation or having 'interlopers' meddle with whatever buisness goes on down in his basement, so as rare as it is for him to leave his quarters, it's even rarer for him to allow someone in the basement, aside from Anvion or Varlen.

Personality- The porcelain are a nearly-extinct race in Gaia, and Mengde is one of, if not THE last of his kind. He has the mental abilities of a typical three-year old, which is actually quite typical for a young Porcelain. He has the ego the size of Gambino's mansion, and always throws a wild tantrum if he doesn't have his way. Also, Porcelain speak through a sort of telepathic manner, and rarely learn to speak. Mengde is of no exception to this rule, and can barely manage making any vocal noises anyways. However, not all races are attuned to the Porcelain's telepathic skills, and Mengde gets HIGHLY annoyed when someone isn't able to 'hear' him.

Personality- A sweet and gentle boy, Mikael is most likely found to be out in the backyard, tending the vegetable garden and fruit trees he grows there. He alawys seems to be asleep, or when he's awake, he only seems to be half-awake, and with his head in the clouds to boot. He's slow to respond to his surroundings, and often seems to do everything in a slow, dreamy manner. Yet if he needs to be, Mikael can become as alert as anyone, and sharp as a whip, but personally he perefers everything to be slow and free of troubles.

Personality- If you thought Niiran was skittish and shy, you obviously haven't met Soliari. He's so quiet, almost to the point to being mute, and is rarely seen anywhere if strangers come to visit. Like Niiran, he is easily startled, and is often parnoid of 'that monster in the basement,' better known as Letinas.
Brief history- There really isn't too much to say about Soliari. He was discovered by Varlen when he was but a small feather, and was placed under Anvion's and Flitch's care. Somehow the feather evolved into the child Soliari, a young phoenix child with a mairaculous gift for music. He lives with Anvion and Varlen, whom he considers his parents, and the odd little mismatched family whom he loves beyond words. Except for Letinas. He fears the vampire like a child fears a monster in the closet.

Personality- Hyper and cheery, Nichessa seems to be your typical happy teenage witch. Which she is, for the most part. Yetthere is a certain sort of... oddness to her. She is an artifical being, a fact that she often tends to gloss over and ignore, yet sometimes it sets upon her, causing the girl to go into either a brooding state or bout of depression for indeterminate periods of time. Yet she can become her normal cheery self at the drop of a coin, making one wonder if this girl really is mentally stable.
Brief history- Nichessa doesn't remember much of anything. She was found wandering lost and scared don a street by Flitch who immediately took the girl home to get help from Anvion. She, along with Varlen, managed to piece Nichessa's fragmented memories together, and it is suspected she is a magic-user's attempt to revive a dead lover gone awry. Nichessa remembers nothing of this 'previous life', however, and so has come to live at Anvion's.

It's like she knows what you're doing and is merely observing. She tends to watch from the sidelines a lot, and rarely joins in on the action, whatever it may be.
