The students who were to attend history and culture class received instruction on their scrolls which were simple if somewhat cryptic. "History and Culture class will be held in the holodeck. You will require only your wit." The message read. Directed by their scrolls, the students would file into a room they had never been to before. The sign outside labelled it as the holodeck mentioned in the previous message. The room inside was rather large. The walls, ceiling and floor were all black, with light blue lines running through them in a grid pattern. Professor Hayes stood in its center with her hands clasped behind her back, watching them with cool blue eyes. There were no desks or furniture of any kind in the room. "Please leave your bags by the door and gather around." Aurelia instructed the students as they entered. "As you may have heard, Vale has recently made large strides towards reconnecting with Atlas. Now, what can you tell me about Atlas?"

A team was still a mystery, and the intrigue on being passed about team to team was an idea one such human would prefer to avoid. As much as she wasn't a team player, Nejina by this point was feeling insulted by the long timing it was taking. Was she perhaps not as valued as a student? Was she more so on the continued path of bodies trailing behind her? Her hands had remained clean for a few months as it was, and more so, she had been more busy perfecting that role model student part of her, and forcing a lot of suppression from lashing out the true beast within. How long could one young woman hold herself back, however? One thing to say the least, she was finally added onto another team for this. Would it be her potential team finally? Or another fill in? She was still unsure, given the small contents of conversation thus far. For all she had known though, she could have been easily switched again. One could only hold on tight, and focus on her scroll, which was giving the coordinates to her class. "History in the holodeck... Intriguing. Only our wit to be used for such an occasion, " Feasting upon a simple plate of eggs, bacon, and toast, the fork had been rotating in the egg yolk, a small hum under her breath as she had put the scroll aside, finishing off the last of her morning routine. Was she excited for history? Meh. An attempt to use her wit was at least a good trait to put some hook into it. As long as it wasn't some pop quiz or paper work that had any needs of being done.... Or any scenario where her hair or nails were going to be ruined... She was all for it. How dreadful if her beautiful braids were to be in a tussle for no reason. Survival class had caused enough damage. The reminders of it all were enough to be digging that fork harder into the last of the egg, Harder bites to the toast only added the intensity of PTSD from descending out of the air like a dropped piece of trash. Ick... "Oh... My breakfast is being destroyed from this unnecessary anger... Hm... My poor skin will get wrinkles thinking all over onto this." With that in mind she had to force herself to finish her breakfast, and make way for the holodesk.
Upon arrival, if her teammates were there, she would nod, and say her polite good morning. Had they not have been, she simply awaited for the rest to arrive. As to how many were actually attending, she had no idea. All she knew was to follow her scroll, force herself to keep to herself for the most part, and pay attention to her surroundings. Which in turn, had brought her to her pretty blue hues looking around with a sharp intent, resting her gaze upon the sign marking the room. "Hmph.." Unimpressed at first, it wasn't until she had entered the rest of the room, to see Aurelia standing at the very center, with the room itself high-wired in black and blue from top to bottom. The grid pattern hurt her eyes a bit, given the repetitive state of the grid itself. Aurelia had been the only non repetitive obstruction that allowed her to at least focus on something. Anything to avoid a full on headache from inducing. This lead to something else though... Just where were they supposed to sit? Were they expected to stand the whole class? Preposterous. Leaving a bag at the door was no issue, but she remained on holding onto her nail file in her pocket, juuust in case she had to sharpen them pretties up. "Good morning~...:" She had began towards Aurelia in a soft toned regard. Standing to the side after that short greeting had been her next step, which brought her to silence until the class had actually started up, beginning with a question about Atlas. Who on earth knew nothing about Atlas? Such an odd question. She simply rose a hand, only giving a lazy amount of information out on what she knew. "Atlas was said to be also known as Mantle as well, and, correct me if I am wrong of course, I think was military oriented before?" Hopefully that gave a good starter.

Rammie would look at her scroll. The only thing they needed was their wits? Oh boy...Rammie didn't know if they had the right class then. They were going somewhere called "The Holodeck" she had no clue where that was. Though, a good thing was that Alestor was registered for classes. Hopefully he could help her for history...
She would wake up early, and make the bed. As quietly as she could, she would clean their dorm. She would then hop in the shower, and then get dressed in her school uniform. Hers had long legging that where held in place by a garter that was around her waist. The skirt was perfectly pleated, and went down to her mid thigh. Her top had been ironed beautifully. She had her ribbon tied nicely as well.
Once she was dressed, she would work on breakfast. She still felt bad about what she had done to Alestor, and kept wanting to take care of him as a result. She looked at the recipe on her scroll, to make a breakfast bake. It would be enough for them to reheat later in the week for food. She started to hum as she was putting everything into the baking dish to bake. However she wasn't paying attention when putting in the cheese, when she left a huge bit of plastic in there.
After she put the dish in the oven, she would start to iron Alestor's clothing. Then the fire alarm went off. Rammie scrambled to see what was happening, when she saw the stove on fire. She scrambled for the fire extinguisher and got the oven door open. She then sprayed inside of it, getting the foam everywhere.
When Alestor went to help him, she would have tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..." Her head was down, and she seemed braced in case he wanted to hit her. When he didn't, she went to get the foam off her clothing. She didn't have time or another uniform that she could change into. The least she could do was to brush out her hair. When she did, she put the clip that they had bought for her, on her hair, to cover the hole in her head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ramie would walk with Alestor, her clothing still somewhat wet. She smelled like an acrid, wet goat. Parts of her were covered in yellow. She didn't look ready for class, but didn't have a choice, there was no time. If the teacher scolded her, she understood. She held onto Alestor's hand the entire time that they walked.
When they got to class, Rammie tried to stand towards the back. Then the teacher would ask about what they knew about Atlas. Rammie's mind went blank. She hadn't really paid attention to history when she was growing up. Her job didn't need it. She would look up to Alestor, as he was from there. Maybe he would know something to tell the teacher. tab✿. tab𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧: # 0 46 posts made tab✿. tab𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: The Holodeck tab✿. tab𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗬: Alestor tab✿. tab𝗢𝗢𝗖: tab✿. tab𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘:Rammie
Having gone half the night just staring at the ceiling Alestor still couldn’t entirely get use to the idea of sleep having been awake for the last five years as a doll, but eventually his body finally succumbed to his body finally giving out letting him finally pass out for a few hours. Though even asleep his mind did not seem to rest as the events from before he was a doll flooded back agonizing him over and over again till morning finally came. Having not been in the best shape the alarm did not seem to wake him nor Rammie who seemed to get up rather early... no Alestor would not wake until the smell of smoke entered his nostrils shocking him. Like a scared cat he seemed to pop out of the bed halfway landing on the floor while the other half hung from the mattress.” NOT MY LEGS!!!”
Quickly turning his head from side to side slowly coming to his senses he remembered where he was, breathing a sigh of relief Alestor slid the rest of his body out from the bed so he could pick himself up. Yawning abit he stood there a moment before the sounds of Rammie stumbling around finally got him to understand not everything was a dream now seeing the smoke coming out from the vents. “ Bloody hell!?” Running out the room he would see the smoke coming from the kitchen, quickly he rushed in to see the aftermath of the extinguisher along with a crying Rammie apologizing for the mess.
Sighing Alestor walked over to the girl squatting down to be at eye level with her, staring a few moments to see if she had been injured at all. Seeing no wounds or burns Alestor would simply smile patting the girls head letting her know it was fine “ No need for tears lass... how about some cereal for now. “ He would worry about the clean up later for now he would help Rammie up and get things ready for class.
Later
Walking together with the girl hand in hand he felt abit bad she was in such a mess, he did try to convince her to atleast change but seeing she wanted to not be late he was pressed to just drop the issue seeing that some of these teachers were odd.Arriving into class he followed suit and headed to the back to keep her company while class got started. Not even a few minutes had passed and the teacher brought up a well to timed question about the history of atlas. Just cus he was from there he didn’t really feel the need to answer such a question at first but looking over to Rammie her stare was like a gun being held to his head. He couldn’t just play dumb with her giving him that look, sighing sen raised his hand after the other girl gave a brief explanation of atlas. Though he had to think about which era he should refer to since he’s seen multiple points in atlas history first hand. Pondering over it a moment he would just go for more recent history “ uh well I suppose you could say Atlas was a military oriented country though they also for a time were a leading nation in dust along with multiple advance in technology.... the nation itself had its capital built in the sky due to the harsh environment below,, using chains and gravity dust Atlas stayed afloat till it presumably went dark.” He would list off a few other facts and historical figures that had seats on the council at the time say about nearly 60 years ago.
It seemed it was a good thing she would be covering Atlas, as the information the students brought forth was somewhat lacking. She pulled her scroll out of her pocket and with a few taps the holodeck came to life. Sure, she could drone on about the history of Atlas, but she felt the visual aspect would make the lesson much more memorable. The floor became a birds-eye view of a large landmass the students may or may not recognize depending on their geographical knowledge. Though miniature compared to the real thing, it was much more massive than any map. It came complete with 3d representations of mountain ranges, lakes and rivers, and any other topographical items. "Feel free to walk around." She told them. "This is Solitas, the continent where the Kingdom of Atlas resided. Before the Great War, the Kingdom of Atlas was called the Kingdom of Mantle. Northeast to the main settlement they had one combat school known as Alsius." As she spoke the floor zoomed in on Mantle, though it was much smaller than the Mantle people thought of today, and showed the school to the Northeast, also much smaller than Beacon was currently. "The land around Alsius was used for research and development during the great war. However, after the war the school was reopened and renamed Atlast Academy. They continued the research and development aspect, using the discoveries to enhance the Huntsman Academy and expand its territory." As she spoke the hologram would show the rapid development and expansion of Atlas Academy, including a large mass of land being lifted into the air, leaving a large crater behind. "Eventually, Atlas Academy was merged with the military and government, which is why as Miss. Hakusei pointed out, they were largely seen as military-oriented. Though Mr. Rosestein is correct about being known for their technological advancements and large use of dust, after the merge these advancements were largely seen as the militaries." The hologram showed buildings representing the government and military merging with Atlas Academy, and the complex expanding even further, into something much more city-like, while Atlas Academy remained in its centre. "Shortly after this, Atlas became the Kingdom's new capital, and shortly after the Kingdom of Mantle was renamed the Kingdom of Atlas."
"In Vale, the Government, Military and Huntsmen remain separate, yet connected entities, however in Atlas Huntsmen were part of the military. Now, who would like to tell me what they know about the fall of Atlas and how it might relate to what I've just told you?"
█████████████████████████████████ X X tabtab❧xxtab Tanis sighed as he looked at the note he'd received from one of the infirmary staff, as well as the note he'd received from one of the security staff here at Beacon. His first day to attend classes here, and first, he'd been sidetracked by running into a team of students who had been critically injured during a mission and had only barely made it back into Vale alive, frustrated but at the time being well within a reasonable timeframe to make it to class even If he helped, the Bear-Faunus had hefted the two most injured hunters-to-be over either shoulder and carried them to the infirmary. He'd received a note with a time-signature on it from the infirmary staff to explain why, they presumed, he'd be just barely making it to class. Unfortunately, immediately after that as he'd tried to make his way to the holo-deck, he was stopped by some of Beacon's security staff and effectively been treated like some antagonistic Vagabond. It had taken a quarter of an hour to get that situation cleared up at which he received a second note with a time signature explaining why he was DEFINITELY late to class. This was a rather poor way to make a first impression, though Tanis was still covered in blood from the two students he'd helped to the infirmary so he could understand why the guards had stopped him. All the same, Tanis finally made his way to the Holo-deck.
tab Upon entering Tanis managed to catch the backend of what he presumed was the teacher talking about Atlas, which was confirmed by her next question. The behemoth of a student silently walked over to the teacher herself and presented the two notes to explain why he'd been so late, before promptly stepping back into the cluster of other students. He took a moment to think about the question that had been asked as he walked in before suggesting. "Is it because of the fact the military needs orders from a commander of some kind before acting? Normally Hunters don't answer to any authority directly and can act as needed... but if they are part of the military, then their response would be delayed by protocol and the wait for someone in command to issue orders." It was his best guess to the situation, probably wasn't correct, but that was all he could really think of at the time. That said, now that he had given his answer he reached into a gap in his armor and retrieved a small cloth usually reserved for cleaning his axes and began using it to clean off the blood from beforehand, intent to prevent it from crusting over on his armor and what few patches of fur were visible. Granted, most of his fur looked like parts of his armor anyways. This truly was a poor introduction after all. x x x x xxxxxxxxxxxLOCATIONxThe hallway > The HolodeckxxxCOMPANYXAurelia, Nejina, Alestor, RammiexxxPOST-COUNTxSeven/7
Twas a truly small class, it would seem. At first, Nejina thought she would have been the only one there. Then again, she was way too early... Much more early than she would have wished to be. To soon to tell if there were about to be plenty, or simply a few. That was fine by her, as she wasn't a people person. Others were beginning to arrive, however, and the first reaction to those coming in were the reaction to the smell, as she had been in her own little devices of attention. "Good lord! Why was there nasty wet animal smell about!?" Curling her nose up a bit with dissatisfaction. it hadn't occurred to her that upon arrival, one of them was actually a goat faunus. With her missing horn, Rammie was safe from the ridicule comments in the belief she was human. As for Alestor, from his features, he had looked to be some sort of canine faunus. Troublesome how either had come in, looking dry, but the smell of wet animal was cursing her sense of smell, forcing her to take a few steps away from them. "I refuse to let my sense of smell be muddled by whatever sesspit this filthy smell! is deriding from!" Thankfully class had began, before she could get asking just what on earth either had fallen in on the way there. Her reply was given out on what she knew, with little care on actually wanting to go to Atlus one day. Too much travel for her tastes. Maybe time would change her mind on that. For now, it was more about this lesson.
Other than her own answer, others were bringing in their own insight to this. One of which, who made her feel like they belittled her answer, receiving a glare at the back of their head. She at least made an answer. More so than the one with that faunus. Where was hers? Nowhere. Nejina's glare only softened to a roll of her eyes by that, choosing to just say no more, if others felt they were more know it all's. Why waste her time saying anything for it to seem not good enough? She wasn't trying to be a Brainiac. The military part was correct based on another answer, so why had it seemed like a bad answer? Hmph. Tough crowd. Then again, they simply added on, the more she thought about it. Ech... Can let him get away with that one... For now. Comments could be retained as it was, as soon as the headmistress had activated the rooms features, giving them a birds eye view of Solitas. Taking no time on being told to walk around, Nejina had done just that, taking out a nailing file to file her nails, all while keeping her head glancing upon the view below them. "Solitas, kingdom of Atlus... once the kingdom of Mantle before the great war... Hm.. Wonder who had become the true horse and a** of them all..." Once the floor had zoomed in on a better look of Mantle, and the information on a combat school having been there known as Alsius, the zoomed in view revealed their own school in the distance, as well as that schools reopening into becoming Atlas. The more she had heard about the technological advancements being thing, especially for the long future of hunters and huntresses, the more some slight curiosity had actually come across her neutral face on this. oh!! Her answer was actually pointed out among it~... Great~. ten points of attention to the teacher. It was stereotypical analysis that reminded people of the military aspect at the end, for most. The most crucial part, that had lead to another questioning follow up, had been brought into play after all of this. Should she take interest in answering again? Tempting. Her late teammate however, had finally come in, with what looked like notes, passing them towards the headmistress, before going to a spot in the back, all while giving their best guess or perhaps the right answer, into the fray. Hm.. So much for her not saying anything either. Guess work was all she could truly do herself. "I would certainly think that between the potential delayed protocol could take into play. Given from our current visions among this … If it were true the grimm invasion had managed to take a large part on wiping them out, maybe that delayed protocolling could have lead to Atlus been unprepared for the worst of it all... Unless you mean a different falling..." Tapping her nail file against her cheek, only speculations on her end, tying to her teammates, could only result in her own guessing. Whether it was right or not, left to be desired.
Rammie would watch as the room came to life. She jumped when everything changed around them. They were looking at Atlas academy, but they were in Beacon. This was so cool! She looked nervous though, as they floated over Atlas. The teacher would mention the military and the huntsman academy there were the same. Thankfully it wasn't like that for Vale. Rammie wouldn't be here....but then Nibbie would be with her. Sadness would cross her face.
The teacher would ask how the invasion would have happened. Rammie hadn't put her thoughts on something like that. Then again...she was lost around that time. She was just a shell of herself. Rammie would raise her hand. Once she was called on, she would ask..."Umm...so...do we know where it started? If..if the military was attacked first then...they should have been...able to take care of it...but...if the medics were attacked first...and if the grimm were strong...then they would have been...overwhelmed." Rammie was only going on what she knew from working in the medical tents in a war. ┏━━━━━━━━┓ Aurelia Hayes ┗━━━━━━━━┛ ✬Deputy Head Mistress of Beacon Academy✬ Shadow Education Minister✬
At the sound of the door opening, Aurelia looked towards it with cold blue eyes, her lips pressing together in annoyance. A student who dared to be late to her class was about to get a lesson on the importance of punctuality. However, those words died on her lips when her eyes fell on the blood-covered bear Faunus. "It appears you've had an eventful morning Mr. Vallendashk." She commented dryly while he walked towards her. She picked up on strong feelings of irritation and frustration as he entered the range of her semblance, but underneath was a hint of satisfaction. The sort of feeling one got when a job was well down. Despite the fact that Tanis was nearly two feet taller than her, Aurelia had a way of standing that almost made it seem like she was looking him in the eyes rather than looking up at him. She quickly read the two notes before tucking them neatly into a pocket on the back of the table she was holding and continued class without comment.
"An excellent suggestion Mr. Vallendashk. And to answer your questions Miss Singlehorn, it is likely the attack started at the Atlas communication tower."
"Ultimately the events around the fall of Atlas are shrouded in mystery, however, there are a few things that are known. Vale lost communication with Atlas very suddenly. So suddenly that we did not receive any indication of the Grimm invasion and many thought there was simply some sort of malfunction with the Atlas tower, which the Kingdom would soon repair. The fall of Atlas, leaving Vale as humanity's last stand, was simply unthinkable." The hologram showed the communication tower going dark. "It wasn't until the first refugees began to arrive from Atlas that we knew something terrible had happened." The hologram showed Grimm of all kinds invading both the floating city of Atlas and Mantle on the ground. Some of the Grimm would be unfamiliar to the students as they were native only to Atlas, while others would be similar to common Vale Grimm, but with ice and frost on their black forms. "After the fall of Mistral and Vacuo, Atlas, of course, had an emergency plan set in place. Citizens were ushered into underground bunkers and onto airships. Smaller airships brought people to port towns, where they then crossed over the sea to Vale. For every person who made it here, many did not." The hologram showed the flying Grimm taking out several airships attempting to flee the city. A giant dragon-like Grimm seemed to almost shrug off missiles from large battleships as it took out much of the Atlas fleet, while below large explosions were shown happening around both Atlas the Mantle. "There were strange reports of a giant flying Grimm never seen before or since. There were also reported sighting of explosions around the cities. There are those who suspect sabotage. They say the tower going out before word of the attack could be spread is too convenient, possibly paralyzing Atlas's defences before they could be to mount a counter-attack. Certainly, many more lives from the remaining settlements on Solitas would have been spared if they had a warning on the attack of the capital."
The hologram seemed to rewind in time to right before the attack was shown, then began playing it out again. If it wasn't clear before, it should be now that the events shown were merely a hypothesis based on reports rather than any actual recording. This time there was no giant dragon-like Grimm, and the explosions were much smaller in size. Something that could be done with a semblance or a sphinx fireball, rather than bombs of some kind. Instead, the battleships were simply overwhelmed by thousands of normal-sized flying Grimm. "Others will argue that in such a chaotic event these reports are likely exaggerated. If a giant Grimm was flying about certainly we would have heard about it before the attack on Atlas, or since. The explosions were likely caused by the fighting and seemed bigger than they were while people were fleeing for their lives. They theorize that the large number of Grimm in the sky blocked communication singles, or perhaps a storm brought it down. They believe an unlucky lightning strike is more likely than someone somehow working with Grimm to bring down an entire Kingdom."
"We can be certain that without their communication tower, the military, government and huntsman were left without the ability to relay orders or communicate the situation on the ground. A large part of Atlas's military might was made up of Androids which would have been left much worse off than their human and Faunus counterparts with no incoming orders. Without orders from the top, it is likely the two cities were already lost before attempts to fight back were made, leaving individual military cells and huntsmen to usher as many people into bunkers or airships as they could." She wished she could tell them more. She thought they deserved to know more, however, the powers above her limited her to what was available to the public. Hopefully, it was enough to prepare them. "This is why we encourage you all to act independently. If you see something wrong, don't wait for the siren, a message from your scroll or the military. Report the issue and take action. Please note that take action does not mean charge in recklessly. It could mean tracking the the problem until backup arrives, or distracting it away from citizens. Assess the situation and choose your action wisely."
"Now any questions?" There were a few things Aurelia mentioned that she hoped the students would bring up.
Alestor after giving his answer remained silent after wanting to hear other talk about Atlas. Despite being from there others who study more would certainly know more...or was that not the case was he forgetting something. His mind still pondering the points being brought up about the technical side of history about the Floating capital. Everyone seemed to have some knowledge about the downfall and plenty of opinions, though he to thought the Androids that replaced soldiers was a rather poor idea. Looking down to Rammie who spoke up about her thoughts on the fall of Atlas, to see she was putting in a effort put a smile on his face.
As another student arrived covered in blood he couldn't help but wonder how common that lind of scene was around here, no one seemed to shocked or concerned by it so he again remained silent opting to watch the hologram render not only A broad view of atlas, the lower lands of mantle but even the school. His temperament was rather passive till the view suddenly changed to that of the attacks. The hairs on his body stood up, his eyes narrowed as the variety of grimm suddenly showed up. He couldn't hear the lecture as the aight of these grimm only brought him back to that day. His breathing slowly became heavier watching the rendering of the airships being destroyed. Remaining calm started to become harder and harder till a snap echoed in his mind, suddenly nothing his agitation, fear, anxieties all seemed to vanish.
His expression eased back into a somewhat lazy smile as he was somewhat unable to turn away as the holodeck rewound time showing a different version of the attack. Even he couldnt say how the attack started but he knew for sure that the attack wasnt natural nor did the grimm attack alone... Even still he still couldn't trust his own memories until his body fully acclimated to his human form. The lecture went on and for the most part Alestor did his best to try and remain focused on the teachers words.
Both times he was left questioning a course of action he saw playing out. "I'm not sure if it was meant to be there or if it's just a hypothesis, but for all the people evacuating via airships in this projection... I'm noticing quite a few people in the Mantle retreating into what look like tunnels... Did they have an evacuation protocol?" He couldn't really be sure, but from the stories his mother had told him of Vacuo's fall, even the laid-back desert kingdom and the various tribes found there had some kind of emergency evacuation strategy. It'd be downright bizarre if the heavily militarized kingdom didn't have something in place that citizens could fall back on, especially after having had twenty years since the fall of Vacuo and Mistral to prepare. x x x x xxxxxxxxxxxLOCATIONxThe hallway > The HolodeckxxxCOMPANYXAurelia, Nejina, Alestor, RammiexxxPOST-COUNTxEight/8
Rosestein seemed to be having a difficult time watching the fall of Atlas play out. While she could empathize with how difficult it might be to watch the horrors play out, she couldn't afford to show compassion. The holographic representation was nothing compared to being out there in the real thing. If a student couldn't bear to watch this, they would freeze out in the field. Though she hated it, Aurtrox was right. They all needed to be harder. Though something strange happened, as his expression suddenly became relaxed. While the hologram played out, and she talked about the different theories for the fall of Atlas, Aurelia slowly walked to stand near Alestor Rosestein. Close enough for her semblance to pick up on what emotions he was currently experiencing.
Then she asked if the students had any questions and was met with disappointment. Only one of the students was brave enough to speak up. It wasn't the main thing she had been hoping someone would mention, however it was a close second. Truly she had been hoping one of them would ask which version of events she believed in. "It seems only one of you has the courage needed to be a huntsman. If you aren't willing to risk something so small as giving me an incorrect answer or asking what might be perceived to be a stupid question, how will you be able to perform in life or death situations? The classroom is the place to make mistakes. Do so in the field and you may join Tessa Ailbhe or Periwinkle Flutterfly." Tessa was presumed dead, though no body had been recovered. The cave had collapsed and a recovery mission too costly for their limited resources. The second had been horribly injured, losing her wings and one eye.
Aurelia looked to each of the students who had remained silent, her eyes like ice. Finally, she turned to the only student who had spoken, her gaze softening, though only in comparison to the hard look she had given the others. Aurelia's stare could never truly be called soft. "An excellent observation Mr. Vallendashk. The bunkers were designed for military personal, though it should be noted that the wealthier families had private bunkers built. In the event of an invasion, they were to be the last to leave the city. At such time, air travel would be too dangerous. The bunkers could be used as triage stations and had additional supplies of weapons and ammo as well as equipment to repair the androids. In essence, the plan was for the military to use the bunkers to keep fighting after the civilians were flown to safety. And in the worst-case scenario a place for them to retreat to while they waited for reinforcements. However, given the chaotic nature of how the events unfolded, we cannot say for certain if only military personal ended up in the bunkers of if several civilians found their way below ground as well."
"Unfortunately those reinforcements never came. We have a floating city, powered by gravity dust, and a population who has either been killed, fled or driven underground. Can anyone identify the likely outcome of this?"
How dare this teacher!? Claiming that none of them were brave enough to speak, but completely had disregarded her added in theory. "HMPH. I had spoken up earlier!!!!" There was also mention of two faunus she had heard about recently getting harmed, which only made her sizzling at a contempt level. Using that contempt level was the only thing keeping her face from cracking into a scowl, even though she wanted nothing more than to outright sizzle and SNAP. Filing her nails out of complete irritation, Nejina didn't see what was the point of looking at this map at all! at this point. What hadn't made sense was all these potential theories for the destruction in the first place. There were too many things that could have happened. With no concrete solutions however, these theories could be right, or they could be wrong. Even worse... There could be more than what was actually being said here, and no one actually knowing a single thing. the thought of that had no bother for her to worry about. She wasn't from Atlas. Not her home, not her problem. Aside from all this, the fact this headmistress was rudely claiming only one had the courage to be huntsmen just for speaking, "Beg your pardon teacher, but how is one to know if those mistakes are certainly correct or not, when ones words aren't perceived or regarded as correct or not. We cannot risk our mistakes if our mistakes aren't potentially pointed out, or are our words truly recognized as trying."
As polite as she could make it, her pretty blue eyes simply regarded her thoughts from earlier, with nothing mentioned as to whether either her nor Tannis were correct. Only now had something been acknowledged on these bunkers they were speaking of, as well as following along with the protocols of private bunkers, and the chaos of the militaries plans with the bunkers themselves. When it came onto reinforcements, and bring asked if anyone could identify the likely outcome of it all, this was yet another question that had her wanting to remain silent. To keep her silence to herself, and just simply listen. "This person is impossible to even have be pleased by anything.." That was the feeling that was sunk in on this. Regardless.... She wanted a student to try, she'd better actually let them try!"Or in this case, listen!""Hmph... If we were really wanting to think further into it, wouldn't the basis of having lack of communication set back the inclusions of the reinforcements as well? Granted, for all we truly know... To this day, Atlas could no longer be in the air as you have described. But the floating city aside, wouldn't the grimm be considered the reasonings for disrupting the systems? Since you have said that air and travelling was dangerous... Options, I could imagine, were running at an all time low. Without reinforcements to stabilize.... Many ties to this bring us back to the invasion disrupting the life of all. MY only question or answer..... Would be towards the lack of stability, communication, and the chaos effect of disruption to properly maintaining proper defense, once the main defense to protect was in shambles. Evacuation cannot properly be obtained in a crisis such as they had, when the fundamentals, and the stability to progress it is at an all time low... At least... For theories' sake if it were so...""
