Truth be told, Jacob felt...rather like a stalker right now...but…
He was pretty sure that the guy in the knock off Jesus costume was a knight...or at least...he hoped he was. It would be awkward if he wasn’t. But...he would know soon enough, as soon as he powered up...he’d be able to feel it, and if he didn’t feel anything, he could just leave, no questions asked. No harm done...except...maybe he would take some energy...he hadn’t done that for a while...and odd cosplayers sometimes needed a dose of energy taken...especially when they weren’t even in cute costumes.
What he was planning wasn’t honorable, he knew that...but...sneak attacks weren’t really something in his wheelhouse so...he should learn.
This was a learning experience…
Hopefully, the knight wouldn’t know what was coming.
Quickly, silently, he powered up, and when he felt the other aura coming from the male, he summoned his weapon and brought it down fiercely on the male’s head.
There. A properly executed sneak attack…
...Now if only he had the ability to teleport away...this would be so much better.

Something was nagging at the back of Jace--Meninx’s--mind. Like someone was watching him. Like something bad was there. The hairs on the back of his neck were standing up and he could feel something like anxiety steadily building. His hands were balled into fists at his side but he couldn’t see anything, no matter how many times he glanced around to try and figure out the source of this strange sensation.
And then, suddenly, it got worse. Infinitely worse.
Chaotically worse.
He didn’t even have time to turn to face the source of this new energy signature before something hit him on the back of his head.
It stung more than it hurt, but the quick, violent gesture still surprised him. He spun quickly, instinctively reaching one hand to the back of his head as if his touch alone could ease the now blossoming pain. “What the <********>?” he asked, voice radiating dual surprise and anger.
His hand balled into a fist at his side, and though he had his lightweight stick, he didn’t seem like he was half as interested in beating this guy up with that as he was just doing it himself.

“Yeah. That’s right. What the ******** is right.” Alpersite gestured with his butterfly wand, wishing, not for the first time, that it looked like something...well. Less...stupid. “You should keep your guard up better than that if you’re going to just run around alone like this.”
His words were sharp, and very much skirting the edge of taunting. “I’m Lieutenant Aleprsite, and I hop;e that you won’t forget that name.” He also hoped that this guy didn’t have any magic to use on him...and that maybe he’d just….turn tail and run away. Sure...he had the idea of a sneak attack down but...he really hadn’t factored in what to do after...and that...was his own stupidity.
Perhaps this would have been a better thing to try with Lopezite, or with someone who he could trust, who would let him know if he was being quiet enough, let him know what he had to work on…
Ah. Yeah this. This was a miscalculation but…
“It’s such a pity I don’t have a weapon yet that’s a little...better than this, but. I’ll deal. I’ve been dealing, and dealing with you won’t be difficult.

Meninx’s expression darkened and his face settled into the worst b***h face--not resting, it was an active, b***h face.
His jaw clenched, and he seethed--more from insult than injury.
“I’m not going to bother remembering the name of a corpse. You try that again and I’m going to shove that little thing down your throat.”
His hand had balled into a fist and he didn’t care who this guy was, he stomped towards him with the fury of someone who was out for blood.
“You’re going to need more than a butterfly,” he seethed, and drew his hand back to punch this jerk as hard as he could as payback.
Was it petty? Yes.
Who did he learn it from?
Definitely Xander.

Oh. Oh s**t.
Alpersite knew he should run, knew he should just turn tail and get the heck out of here...he had just spat in the face of a mad bull and hadn’t even known it. The punch collided with his face, and he tasted blood in his mouth almost at once, though he had drawn the butterfly wand back, smacking it against the page’s head with all of his might.
The force of the blow had him stumbling backwards and reaching a hand up, eye already starting to swell slightly.
“You...You’re an idiot, and I hope you know it.” Alpersite said weakly, spitting a mouthful of blood on the ground. “If you think I’ll forget your stupid, ugly face you’re wrong. And next time I’ll finish the job.”
Because...hopefully next time he’d be stronger. And even more hopefully next time he’d have backup. If he could have Lopezite with him...though--it wasn’t like he needed to have his General with him but…
...His sword was pretty terrifying.
And the thought of beheading a knight suddenly sounded rather nice to him.
His tablet was in his hands before he could really think on it, a message sent to Lopezite, asking to be summoned to him, and a moment later he grinned, teeth bloody, though thankfully, none seemed to be missing.
“Sleep with one eye open.”
He spat more blood to the ground as he felt himself being teleported to his General’s side.
