Raolvar walked into town a swagger in his step and his head on the swivel. This was a new place along the coast. A homey small village with a vibrance of different people. Even a few tall Kahikinians swayed around town. Fascinated, and for some strange reason feeling more at home here then anywhere else he had visited, he decided to make this strange, horribly warm place his home, the redeeming feature was the ocean and he wasted no time in going for a swim.
Raol emerged from the sea, water dripping off his square jaw and cascading off his mane of hair. Had any ladies been around they might have noticed how good he looked. He himself was half oblivious to his good looks. Sometimes he was vain but for the most part valued practicality over looks.

Nykinae had finished up her run and was doing her cool down walk before she headed home to wash up. Her long hair was up in a high ponytail, the style she'd adopted for workouts, so it stayed out of her face. One hand was on her hip while the other half fanned her face to help cool her off even though she was in a crop top and shorts it was still warm. As she continued she happened to see movement from the ocean and turned to look over. She noticed someone coming out and figured they'd gone for a swim. That was normal. They were in an area where visitors often took advantage of the perfect beaches and beautiful waters. Figuring it was some tourist she faced forward again and kept walking.

Oh look, a local, kinda, something was different and usually when he noticed that it was because the subject was a hybrid. It looked really good on her though, with that cute pony tail in the back. Long legs too, she could probably almost outrun him. Maybe she would have more information about this place.
"Excuse me Miss?" He called out, hoping that she would help him out. He wasn't asking for much, just about local real estate. "Do you happen to know if any of the places around here are available?"

The hand that was fanning her face moved to her smooth back her hair just as she heard the person coming out of the water say something. Kina glanced toward them then around to make sure it was her they were calling out to. Finally she stopped walking so that she could look at them. As the question was posed to her about placed that were available she shifted her weight to one foot and stuck her hip out. Almost instantly her mind went to the fact that someone and his family had just moved away not too long ago. The thought made her narrow her eyes a bit. "I'm sure there are a few places. I guess it depends on what you're looking for." Kina was still a bit out of breath from her run. The hand she had up by her hair dropped down to her side, giving her that sassy look as she stood there.

Raolvar bit his lip while he thought. It was something he had seen his father do many many times. He missed his father, so he copied the impression. "Something small and affordable, with a bit of a yard, and close ish to the ocean?" He did not have much saved but he should have enough for a sweet and modest home.
She was pretty, like his Mother. He pretended not to notice. "It is very pretty here, much better than Zena." It was way too hot, he wanted to peel off all of his cloths, "I might need the location of a seamstress too." He did not do that well in the heat, it was the reason his hut had to be close to the ocean.

She listened to him state what it was he wanted specifically and she lifted her shoulders in a slight shrug. "Not sure. I don't really pay attention to all that." Kina used her free hand to wave the notion away in the air before she switched her body weight to the other leg. She could feel her muscles cramping up from an interrupted cool down. "Try the town hall. They usually know everything." Or he could just walk around and try to find something. When he mentioned Zena she lifted a brow at him. He did have the look of an icling just like her dad. "Right.." She paused for a second. "Just don't get overheated. You won't need to wear layers down here." Last thing she wanted to see was someone laying on the ground dying from the heat because they were stubborn and wearing what they wore in their home territories. Mention of a seamtress had her pointing toward the main part of town. "Located in the middle of the market. You can't miss it."

"Thank you very much, I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Raolvar." He inclined his head asking for her name.
Her advice had been most helpful. Maybe he had something...he didn't have much but..."Here." He produced a horn comb with a large sapphire set in the hilt. "Thank you for your help, this was my Mother's but alas here I have no use for it." He presented the comb to her. "Maybe I'll see you around." He turned to leave.
The air was sweet and salty here and called him forward with a siren's call. He had so much exploring to do~.

Her head gave a bob as he thanked her. Kina didn't think she'd done much to really help but if he wanted to thank her then that was fine. Having his name at least gave her something to calk him other than 'hey you.' "I'm Nykinae." As he pulled out a comb with an expensive gem she blinked. Knowing it was a momento of his mother made her concerned that he'd give it away. Kina stopped him from turning away and made sure to press the comb back into his hand. "I already have a brush set and this won't match it." Her things were easily identified by the fact that they came in sets or matched. "And I do live around here so seeing me is going to happen." She shook her head at him then started to walk again. Her house was on the other side of town so she had a good ways to walk yet. "Anyways, I need to finish my workout so I can go home and wash up. There is supposed to be a race today and I don't want to miss it." She didn't care too much about the race but she was one of the popular kids and her presence was needed.

Well that was very kind of her, he smiled and walked off to pursue the town hall and the seamstress. He was going to broil soon if he didn;t get at least something done today.
"Nykinae." He murmured to himself. It sounded exotic. Oh well, she would take no time in attracting way hotter males than he. So young and she was that together. High class, not for the likes of the boy with no clan. Had he been in a better position he would be starting to think about what he wanted eventually when he was old enough. Maybe one of those pretty wind ladies with the spikes, his family had always liked their women a little prickly. He was glad that he didn't have to worry about it for quite some time. The only perk to being away from the clan, the pressure to find a wife was lifted. He was free.

She heard him murmur her name as she walked behind him. He was going the same direction as her for the time being. Her eyes rolled slightly as she leaned forward. "You can call me Goddess if you prefer. I'm fond of the nickname." She'd gotten it from Siel in a bit of a sarcastic twist but a stroke to her ego was still a stroke even if he had been trying to be insulting. Kina smirked to herself.
"You may also want to shed a few layers. Its supposed to get warmer later." She warned him. If he looked at her she would motion to her own outfit. Single layer and short on all fronts. Short sleeve. Short top that exposed her belly. Short shorts. "I don't want to have to pick you up off the ground for fainting."

"Do you think you could pick me up? I'm pretty heavy." Her name reminded him of a river near his home. He hadn't been pining he had been comparing the cadence of the name to his memory. Evidently she had gotten perhaps the wrong impression. He wasn't sure which impression he had been going for himself. She was cute but he was no where near that point in his life yet.
He had a lot of growing up to do that had been put on hold with the loss of his entire clan. He had come all the way down here looking for them.
Would it be wrong to take layers off now? There were enough people walking around bare chested. Where he was from that was reserved for indoors only unless someone was trying to show their fortitude to a lady.

She looked at him for a second then shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe not, but I could always have my brother come help or my dad." Kina would likely just let Thal handle it or go right to her dad with the issue if she cared enough to really want the boy up off the ground. "If you're all sweaty or dirty then I probably wouldn't bother." She still had an aversion to touching dirty things. The only exception she made was her weapon after it fell to the ground in training. Nykinae was getting used to some things but there was still a good bit she was not.

He smiled faintly. "I'm glad you have your family. I have been searching for mine for what feels like a very long time. We got separated a while ago, and they were not in Zena. I looked."
He was not sure why he told her, maybe he just needed someone to talk too. She looked almost familiar too. Maybe he had met a relative of hers once back in Zena. Or maybe he was just homesick. To everyone else he had put up a wall. But he felt because she was familiar looking he trusted her automatically.

"Yes, I am blessed with a gorgeous family." Kina nodded her head. She felt for the boy, not having his there, but she didn't understand what that was like. She herself was one in a set of three. Nykinae was almost always with her siblings. The only exception was her training or when she wandered off on her own, which wasn't that often really. "Hm, well I doubt they are here either. Not many Iclings this way. My dad is one of the only few that actually live in this town." There were others that passed through on visits but she hadn't seen any in a while. Roal was the first in a few months at least. "Still, I guess it won't hurt to ask around." She shrugged her shoulders slightly.

He was glad he had met her, the one other waterling he had met had been almost as quiet as he. She used full and complete sentences. Though he had gotten the feeling the other guy had been a bit of a loner.
"Well I am so grateful for your help." He would have to go see her father, and just see if maybe the man had known his family.
"My people are really used to extremely rugged country, they tread where others do not dare. I can't say its the safest lifestyle but until I explore more, I can't be sure that they did not reach here by a back alley type of thing." He wondered how his family would feel about the swamps here though, they were scary. However he was getting tired of fruitless searching.
"What does your dad look like?"
