The great Forest, a region of land so vast that most don't go into them for fear of getting lost, the trees are massive, and in most areas very dense. along the Perimeter well inside the forest are Outposts easily missed if you don't know what you are looking for, who controls these Outposts is unclear.

The Elves take great measures to ensure that their presence isn't known to those who would kill them, Deep within the forest are many great Trees that house communities upon and within them, Many are these great trees grown from an ancient seed with the use of magic to nourish and grow the tree to great sizes, there are smaller communities as well who also reside within trees that are still growing and being tended to by the community which housed by it. Deeper still into the forest near the center of the Great forest, is a Massive Ravine within this ravine lies the Great City of Belisarius Capital city of the Elven Lands and home to the Elven armies, the Belisarius Storm Guard.

To those outside finding this place is unlikely unless you already know where to go, those who don't know are likely to get lost within the Vast Forest never seeing a soul, but plenty of wildlife, that is provided that the Storm Guard doesn't scoop you up and hold you as a prisoner first. From one end to another, travel through the forest is long, taking someone a week on horseback to reach one border to another, or three weeks on foot to traverse the land.

Wolfe Garm

Bast moved through the trees like the silent predator that she was born to be, her bow held expertly while her chartreuse eyes stayed focused on her target. The wind was in her favor, carrying the scent to her instead of the other way around. Five more slow steps and she froze for a few breaths then slowly drew the bow, taking her time with her aim. Finally, she let her air out slowly.

Her arrow flew and hit perfectly. She grinned before moving to collect the plump rabbit, quickly field dressing it and putting it in her bag. She took in a full breath, letting it out slowly as she looked around then started her long walk home, checking her traps along the way.

She collected two more rabbits, three squirrels, and four pigeons. Plenty to eat for the next few days when combined with the other foods she'd foraged two days ago.

She finally got to the tree that held the house she'd taken over, looking up to admire it for a moment.

The structure was high up in the massive tree but still managed to look like it was belonged there, even blending in to the point that it was nearly invisible. Unless you knew it was there, you wouldn't see it. Even the stairs that moved around the trunk looked like they belonged there.

She moved up the stairs and paused at the top to admire the view from the porch that went completely around the treehouse on the lower level. The upper level had two balconies, but she loved the porch with the plants that hung from the roof to help hide the structure and provide shade. It also gave her plenty of room to prepare the game she'd collected today.

She took care of that before she did anything else, needing to get that done quickly. It still took her time to skin and pluck each animal then prepare them for storage or cooking. She'd already decided to make the squirrels into a stew for today, making an easy meal she could let cook while she went to clean up.

She hung up her game bag and collected her bath bag before leaving the treehouse to head to the small pool of water she used for bathing. It was actually part of a stream that had a small waterfall and a decent pool of water below that flowed into another stream. It kept the water fresh and gave her a nice spot to get clean near her home.

She dropped her bag then stripped down and waded into the pool and swam to the waterfall. It wasn't a heavy fall but it was enough to let her get clean. That done, she swam back to her stuff, spreading a towel so that she could lay in the sunlight to dry.

Bast was Hylarr. A black cougar, specifically. Her fur was in shades of black with silver tipping to each strand of fur that allowed her to blend into shadows easily. Her black hair fell to the small of her back in numerous tiny braids. The only other color she had was the unique shade of her chartreuse eyes, startling against the darkness of her fur.

When the front of her body was dry, she turned over and closed her eyes while her tail moved lazily over her legs and ankles. She freely took a nap, letting the warmth of the sun soothe her into dozing off.

She wasn't worried about anyone attacking her because there weren't any other people for miles and miles. She had this portion of the forest to herself so she didn't have to worry about defending herself.
