Snow was still on the ground and Rosetta felt extra cozy in her hat, her ears tucked neatly underneath it. Not that she needed the extra warmth it was providing her body, being a Tundra. Her tails were already so thick with fur, she could just about hide her entire body in them if she curled herself into a ball. But she hadn't slept like that since she was a kit. It always felt like something a scared child would do. Like hiding your head under your blanket when you imagined a monster in the corner of your room. There wasn't much nowadays that made Rosetta scared or even uneasy.
Smoothing her paws over the fluff around her neck, she puffed it up and let it fall back to her chest with a little bounce. It was like an extra soft scarf. Maybe she should get it trimmed down if she was to live in the town, now. The Frost family lived in the cold, in the snows, where she could keep her fur at its naturally long length. Down here, the snows would melt and summer would soon start, causing her to overheat if she didn't do something about all her extra fur.
For now, it was still cold and she was comfortable. She'd grabbed a quick hot drink from a stall and sat down on a bench to watch the Kitsu walking around the market. It was so strange to be around so many at once, of so many different types. It made her feel a bit overwhelmed. In a little while, once she'd finished her drink, she'd go back to her temporary hotel room and enjoy some solitude. If she was going to apply herself as a schoolteacher, she'd need to get used to crowds of Kitsu sooner or later.
