After settling Kalli into his living space and figuring out the schedule of both of their days it was easy. The time they spend together increased without the hassle of a commute to see one or the other.
"I sent a letter to Brexxa asking her to come visit for a bit." In truth Gael was thinking about moving to Oba permanently since it was easier on him for work. If he could get his daughter to agree to it then it wouldn't be so hard. If she was against it then things might be a bit too hard to work out. "Maybe when she gets here then we can ask Jax over as well and we can all have dinner." He said.

She stopped what she was doing for a second to look toward Gael. She was hanging up their clothes that had just been washed and dried so it wouldn't matter if she paused. "Oh yeah? It will be nice to see her again." She nodded with a smile. It would also give her some time to try and get Brexxa to open up to her a bit more.
When the mention of inviting her son over for dinner came up as well her smile turned into a grin. She wasn't so sure how Brexxa would like that. Jax had taken to teasing the younger girl all the time. "You are going to start something with that."

He grinned back and shook his head a bit. "I don't think so. I think the two get along just fine." Of course he'd noticed how Jax teased but he didn't see an issue with it. Brexxa handled it well enough.
"So did you want to cook or should we go to the Tavern?" He wanted to know what she thought about the plans. If she didn't want to waste time cooking then he had no issues with going somewhere for a meal.

She thought about it for a second. "Going to the tavern would be nice. It would give me time to spend with the kids without having to worry about being on time for dinner." Kalliope finished up with hanging the clothes then moved over to take hold of Gael's hand.
"I do get the impression Brexxa isn't thrilled with Jax being older than her. Or rather him calling her 'little sister.'" She guessed that had something to do with her being the big sister up until that point.

"Tavern it is then." He nodded his head. Gael would make sure that things were arranged ahead of time so that they would have a table set aside for the four of them. When Kalli came over to hold his hand he wove their fingers together and brought her hand up so that he could place a kiss to the back of it.
"Hmm.. That sounds about right. Brexxa has always been the big sister. So I imagine Jax calling her the little sister now is beyond irritating to her." He chuckled a bit. "Give her some time and I am sure she will come around to the idea." Or she might just argue with Jax for the rest of time, who knew? "She loves being the big sister though."

She loved the warm feeling of his hand and when he kissed the back of her hand she gave him a loving look. Her thumb moved to stroke over the bit of his hand that she could reach.
"So she likes being a big sister huh?" Kalliope thought about that. She'd only met the younger brother once, he was always busy and out doing things with or for his mentor. "So if we had a child then she would be okay with being a big sister?"

Her question about them having a child caught him off guard. Gael looked at her for a long moment, just blinking. "I.. I'm not sure. Possibly?" In truth he wasn't sure how his daughter would feel about him having another child.
He had to admit the idea was somewhat alarming. Gael didn't have a child he'd made. Brexxa was adopted but she was still very much his. He had never seen her as anything less. But now that Kalli mentioned having a child he had to admit some excitement at the idea. "Did you...?" Was it possible that Kalli wanted to have more children then?

The hesitancy in his voice made her wonder if she'd said something wrong. The unfinished question at the end made her smile and look at their joined hands. "Well I thought about it." Who wouldn't? Gael was a handsome man, kind and caring, amazing with his own daughter and good with her son. He was a dream to a woman like her.
"I wouldn't mind having little ones again. I do miss it." She had loved when her boys were younger. How cute they were and how they always needed their mom for the smallest things.

"Well.. I got Brexxa when she was little but I missed out on the infant stage." He admitted. Brexxa had been old enough to talk when he'd made the decision to be her dad. She had a whole little personality. It made him smile as he thought about it. What personality would a new child have? What would they be like?
"I don't think I would mind either, honestly." He looked at Kalli with a warm smile. "I would like to move out of here before that happens though, if that's alright with you?" The Inn was no place to have a baby.

She listened to him and nodded her head. Of course he was right. Moving would be in their best interest if they planned to have a child together.
Kalli looked around for a second then brought her gaze back to him. "I think a place just outside the city would be nice. It has more space." And it would be cheaper to afford. While she didn't care about money so much she didn't want to try and live above her means. And being in the city close to everything could be expensive. Kalli doubted she or Gael would mind having to walk to work.

He nodded his head and pulled on her hand so that she came forward a bit. His other hand moved to guide her so that she could sit on his lap. "We can look at houses in the next few days then. Maybe we can find one and show Brexxa when she comes to visit. I'd like for her to live with us." Leaving her in Matori all the time made him feel guilty. Especially in the past year. She had decided to stay home more than come see him or travel with him which was unusual. It made him wonder if she was mad at him.
"I think giving her a bigger family would be nice as well."

She sat on his lap gently then leaned against his chest to get comfortable. Kalli didn't have to worry about squishing him or anything. The man was solidly built. He could easily lift her with one hand if he felt the desire to but he was always incredibly gentle with her. It was endearing.
"I would love to be a part of her family. She really is an amazing girl. You did wonderful with her." His daughter had manners, even if she didn't like to show them too much, and she was very caring about others. Kalli had liked her from the moment they met. "She would make a wonderful big sister too."

His arm went around her to hold her close. "I am so glad I went to the tavern that day." He said off hand. "It allowed me to meet you." And that had been a blessing. Not only was she beautiful but she had a good heart.
"Hm.. I already know you are a good mother." So he didn't have to worry there. Jax had turned out good. He had a good head on his shoulders and all that. "I hope when we do have a child they take after you." Although he worried about a daughter with Kalli's looks. It was bad enough he worried about Brexxa, another daughter? He may go grey before his time.

"Oh?" She grinned. "I am glad you went there too."
His compliment to her parenting skills made her cheeks color a little. "Thank you. I do worry sometimes that I messed up or didn't do enough." And that was true. Kalli often had insecurities about raising her boys. When Gael said he would want their child to take after her she went still and wide eyed. Thinking back to how much of a trouble maker she was she shook her head. "Oh no. That would be a bad idea. I was a horrible child. Always in trouble." Not to mention she'd joined up with bandits and had kids with the leader!

"Trouble? You?" He teased. He'd heard her tales and likewise she had heard his. Even down to his encounter with Nera. Kalli was also aware of his personal feelings about the other Oban woman. If she said she needed Gael then he would be there. Kalli had understood but expressed a desire that it never happen. Trouble was in both of their pasts.
"But you have a good mind and I think they would benefit from that. As well as your looks." He grinned at her.
