 (soo en yoo)   His journal is a scroll that is kept in the stomach of his snake familiar. It can swallow or cough out the scroll with no damage to either one, as part of the scroll's enchantment. It is proof of water, most corrosive agents, and the like. He typically writes in a stylized way, with a fountain pen. It's not quite in the style of calligraphy, and he can use the same pen to make illustrations.

2021 03 - Rescued from cryosleep at Haven

19?? - Great War begins Xuanwu the Black Warrior was once a hero who fought in the great wars. After a mortal injury sealed his fate, Haven put him into suspended animation in their cryotubes. There he stayed, but what they did not predict was that he would die in the process. Then one day some crazy kids thought they would try to rescue the heroes of old, and they did, with a little help from a book of necromancy.

   Beak: Turtle beak, no teeth. Makes him look like he's always smiling.
Claws: Large, blunted claws on hands and feet.
Cold-blooded: Gets very sleepy in colder temperatures, and tends to sleep more in the colder months.
Divine: He is a divine warrior, his power between meta adults and meta elders. Divine beings do not achieve an elder stage. His fighting rolls are 5d6+8.
Ears: Has longish, pointed ears, as a part of the Feral race; no "cheek patch" or tympanic membrane.
Eyes: Brown eyes, black sclera.
Hairless: He's a reptile, so no hair, not even on his head.
Shell: His shell is segmented (where every section on the turtle shell would be). This gives him an easier ability to move, at the cost of vulnerability in fights with weapons
Size: Ferals are larger than other races. He is well over six feet tall and built like a tank.
Skin: Tends to be dry, and is scaled especially on forearms and lower legs.
Strength: Ferals are stronger than most other races. Even outside of battle he could be an arm-wrestling champion. Power 1 Secondary Form: This gives him the body of a human and the head of an animal. He is almost exclusively in this form by choice.

- Double Punch: Double attacks can be RPed but there is no double damage. The other player can also play their defense as double as well but there is no actual double defense. In short double attacks/defense are not allowed, mechanically, but they can be rped that way. Exception: Escape during group battle.

Limits: - Can be placed on almost any skill during battle. - Lasts until end of battle on chosen skill - Can not stack with another permanent buff. - Does not take an attack or defense slot to activate - Can not be used on someone else Values: - Child: +1 - Teen: +1 - Adult:+2  Blunt-force - protected by the shell, he can withstand cuts and punches
Fighting - he's a martial artist and can hold his own in any fight.
Water - black marsh turtles live in wet environment. He actually prefers warm humid days and likes to swim.
 Dry heat - It dries out his skin more quickly than normal people. A desert is not the place for him.
Stabs, shooting (and similar) wounds - he has "chinks in his (shell) armor" that a knife, bullet, or sword can take advantage of

The snake is a familiar to the turtle warrior. It floats overhead because it is of divine origin. That said, no one has seen it do anything but interact with Xuanwu and react to its surroundings. It may simply be a gravity-defying snake, or it could be a conduit to the gods. No one really knows, and Xuanwu has seen no reason to explain it, if he can.
