Searched everywhere in the main thread and guild and you still can't find the answer to your question? Wonderful! Post it here and the management team will get you an answer!
Please note that some questions may have easy answers that we will be able to answer quickly whereas others may need to involve a bit of discussion first. Either way, we will try to address all questions as promptly as possible!

xLucifer Force Probably a totally dumb question, and I apologize ahead of time. I'm struggling to figure out how powerful is too powerful. I'd like to give my characters' attacks a little more oomph, but I don't want to overdo it. Are there any specific guidelines, or is it too early to say? If so, that's alright! Thank you! ★We're giving players our trust at this time to make power suggestions that they think are reasonable. At the first stage powers should be basic, progressing in strength as the character levels up.
It is our hope to not need to nerf player characters entirely, but if we think something might be a little too over powered we may ask a player to make slight changes... or come up with possible repercussions that might make a character think twice before setting off their attack.★

xInfinities Hello! I apologize if my eyes skipped over this question. In the Character Import Thread it says "Players may import a max of FOUR powered characters into the By Moonlight setting. These characters must be adjusted to follow By Moonlight's rules and guidelines while still maintaining their name and sphere from an Alternate Universe."If we want to keep a powered name, but change either the sphere, or the Civilian the name is associated with, should we simply post a name reservation thread? And if so, will it still be considered an Import to be posted for approval, or will it be considered a "new" character to be posted only once we have obtained a spot? Using myself as an example, I am interested in changing Charybdis to Senshi of Whirlpools. (I feel 99% confident this wouldn't be a reserve issue since the player of that sphere hasn't been active in the AU since 06/12/10, or even seemingly on Gaia since 06/20/10.) I'm just curious for additional detail on how this would proceed. Thanks smile ★That was written with the assumption that most players would be interested in importing both name and sphere, in most cases, when it comes to Sailor Soldiers, so a good question, actually!
We understand entirely that, in some cases, a player may wish to make tweaks and adjustments to characters that they will be importing. The imports and reservations are primarily for Powered names -- Minerals, for the Dark Kingdom; Celestial Bodies, for Senshi; Places of Power for future knights.
Given that Knights may be imported as being connected to a planet/senshi other than they were initially in an Alternate Universe, senshi can be updated as well!
Changing both the name and sphere but not the civilian name would NOT count as an import.
Changing either the powered name or the sphere would.
Players considering changing spheres should be aware that we will be checking powers against other write-ups to ensure that the new sphere consists of original ideas, however.★

'White Trickster Rabbit" I have a question, actually. So I know there's a whole area dedicated to housing but like I have a character who's parents own a business (a bath house/hot springs and restaurant combo) and I always imagine them kind of living above the business. Is that doable or do they need to live in the residential area? :O I mean I'm good either way but I thought I'd ask before just going ahead. ★It is most certainly doable! There are likely a number of places throughout town where businesses and shop fronts may have apartments/housing they rent out above it, especially in some of the more 'artsy' areas. The description for the residential area was meant to specifically refer to the kind of suburbia/Pleasantville-esque type of housing one might see in white picket fence neighborhoods, etc.
We would possibly recommend that the bath house and restaurant be separate, however! Maybe the family lives over the restaurant while renting out housing above the bath house as an Air B&B during tourist seasons in town? Or vice-versa? (Mentally just reading the idea you've got reminded us of Yongen-Jaya from Persona 5 and the Bathhouse across from Café Leblanc!)★

Lucifer Force Another question, sorry. :C Is it possible to donate money to the shop for use in granting new players their first stage? Like a quest fairy sort of thing? ★We think it's great that players are already thinking about ways to support new arrivals to the community! At this time we would suggest making a donation directly to a player if there is someone you would like to support in obtaining their first custom as opposed to sending it to the mule, specifically so we can keep track of shop accounting, etc.★

Sirene Naiads Apologies for the rather silly question but just want to clarify something >.< After an imported character has been approved, we post for the import art. The approval mentioned making a journal but the powered journal section says we need to wait to make the journal itself until after we have the art. The question is do we need to wait to make the journal then? Or do we make one in the Civi side to use later? Again, apologies. I am pretty sure I'm overthinking this but wanted to be clear! >.< ★Thaaaat was Skye planning ahead for future customs and character acquisitions beyond imports and 110% forgetting what the journal creation thread said.
Please create your journal at will and we'll get that verbiage adjusted! Thank you for bringing this to our attention!★

Out of curiosity... I want to import an very adorable cherry blossom child but I also don't want her to be awakened *just* yet. Is it best to just wait to get the senshi approval and just put her in for civi approval and then get her senshi side as a custom later? ★ Please post for her civilian approval now and then post her sailor soldier form in the [ Name Reservation Thread ] so you can get her as a custom later. ★

serpentsong Out of curiosity, are we able to currently quest for a new Mauvian? I see that we are able to import AU maus but I do not see anything about questing for a new mau. Thank you! ★ You are more than welcome to post for a Mauvian quest but at this time we have not decided on exactly how customs for these will work.
Stay tuned for additional information! ★

Daffupanda Apologies if I somehow missed it. Figured I might ask! I had two Dark soldiers, both of which were gearing to switch over to the light side - One of them could be easily reset and just kept dark for the time being, but the other one has changed so much in personality over the ages I literally can't view him working for evil right now. My question is... can I import both of these or at least one of them as a senshi instead of a Dark soldier? I can provide the rp proof of this change but it'd be all AU to this, hence the weird question time! ★ We're gonna answer this in two parts!
For the first character that you mentioned, who you don't mind keeping as Dark Kingdom character, you are more than welcome to import them and play in the new enviroment. Contrary to what the Watchful Guardian may have written about the Dark Kingdom they are not currently an evil organization and characters who join this faction should keep this in mind.
For the second, if you wish to create them as a Sailor Soldier they would be a new character and not an import. You are more than welcome to use the civilian persona, with any adjustments you see fit for our setting, but they would not be considered an import. ★

White Trickster Rabbit So another vaguely (possibly) dumb question because it's seven in the morning and I wish I was asleep but my mind latched onto a new idea so I might as well ask before it gets too set in it. So I know as long as we keep name or sphere we can import an idea from AU. But do we have to keep the civilian form as well? Edit: For example could we do [new civilian], [new senshi name] senshi of [sphere we had from AU]. ★If you are importing a character it should start with the civilian character as its base, because that is the heart of who the character is. Some things about the civilian may change -- fleshing out the character further, adjusting their age (in the event of players with chibi senshi that they would like to import), modifying their core to fit the change in setting -- but they should still be the same civilian.
Ex. Ami Mizuno would always be Sailor Mercury or the Senshi of Water. She could potentially be Sailor Mercury, Senshi of Intelligence OR Sailor Hermes, Senshi of Water but at the base she would still be Ami Mizuno.
You may still reserve your name and sphere as a reserve but you would need to obtain a custom slot in order to bring the character in!★

Sami-Fire Hi! Apologies for the redundant question, but I want to make absolutely sure I'm on the right page. Let's say I want to import a character. Powered name and sphere are the same. Civilian is largely the same personality wise, but the name has been changed and some details have been adjusted to fit the setting. Does this still qualify as an import in light of the tweaks? ★We've actually got some examples this time, so we hope they help clarify things!
This quest for Zachary Bantock, DK Soldier Azurite, is an import. His civilian side stayed the same but his player changed his powered name while still sticking with the core of who he is.
This quest for Gabriel Nix, DK Soldier Zinkenite, is an example of a file that could not be imported because this is a new character entirely!
It's like... Importing a save file from one video game to the next, if that description helps any! Some things about your playthrough in the new game might change to match new mechanics, but at the base they are still the same character at heart. ★

Lady Argentum Draconis Are constellations allowed for Senshi/DK or is that considered too high and encompassing on a celestial body hierarchy? Thank you <3 ★Constellations are perfectly okay to use for a Sailor Soldier's name, although it is important to keep in mind that players who claim a constellation cannot prevent other players from using the names of stars within the constellation, nor can they force those players to plot with them to form connections in the future!★

LittleLilyKitty Hi there! I have couple questions if you don't mind. Apologies if the answer is already writtten somewhere and I have been blind. ^-^;; These are mostly just to make sure I have understood things right. What would be the best way to go if we want our character to use throwing weapons (throwing knives, shurikens, darts etc.)? Upgrade from bow/sling? How limited the ammo for ranged weapons? You answered earlier that we can adjust the age of the character when importing them (if player of a chibi senshi wants to bring their character in the shop). Can we change the age of other kind of character too? I.e. I have a character I would like to import and I have had her for years. When I got her, she was twenty something. Now she is thirty something. Can I make her twenty something in this shop? ★Upgrading from a bow/sling would most likely be the best starting point for someone you'd like to eventually use throwing weapons -- most likely a sling, since they could just as easily toss the beanbags by hand as they could fling them with the sling!
The limit on ammunition for ranged weapon will depend on the weapon itself. Throwing knives, for example might be limited to two at Captain and four at Commander. These limits will be discussed further as characters with those types of weapons come into play and we are able to develop a fair balance for battle situations.
You can definitely change the age of characters that you are importing in either direction. Many imported characters have seen a number of years of growth and development and it's up to you as a player if you would like them to relive their teens or if you would prefer to start them out a little older! As long as they fit into the age ranges for the specific faction that they are a part of you should be fine!★

White Trickster Rabbit I just thought of another question which probably isn't too important but I'm curious all the same. What is the schedule of the school year, if you know? Like when does it start and end? Perhaps what amount of time off do they get for the summer/winter breaks? Sorry if I gave ya'll more work to plot, I was just curious. Love you all. emotion_bigheart ★Never be sorry for asking more questions!
The 2021-2022 School Year runs from August 26th through June 3rd, possibly extending through to June 10th in the event of any school cancellations or delays due to snow.
Thanksgiving break starts with a half-day on November 25th and students return to school on December 1st.
Christmas break starts with a half-day on December 23rd and students return to school on January 3rd.
Spring break starts on March 31st and students return to school on April 7th.
For ease of planning, especially in households with multiple children, this break schedule is for all schools from Primary through College, although some institutions may also give additional days off as well.
Federal holidays are also observed as days off for the schools★

Tinnunculus What is the level of crime in Mayet? What types of crimes are seen more often than others, and which areas of the city are safer/more dangerous? Asking because I'm trying to calculate what a reasonable age for children to travel around the city on their own would be without being negligent (backstory purposes), and general curiosity. ★With programs instituted for building communities stronger, including basic income and universal healthcare along with various outreach programs, there isn't much crime at all and what crime there is tends to be petty -- small theft from rebellious teens, traffic violations and disturbing the peace, to name a few. This isn't just the case for Mayet, either! The whole U S of A is different. The WORLD is different.
In Mayet it isn't uncommon to see students ranging from 13-15 roaming around populated shopping districts together, or spending time at local parks and other youth-friendly areas. Teens are able to drive starting at the age of 16 and from then on are regularly out and about with their friends when not busy with extracurricular activities or studies. 12 and under, if they're out and about, are typically the closest to home; roaming throughout the neighborhood, playing with friends, at playgrounds or fields, etc.★
