It was cliche, Lilith supposed, that she liked spending so much time by the water, but there was something nice about sitting on a bench in one of Destiny City's larger public parks, watching lights play over the artificial pond they had set up, and taking in the night air. She'd finished her draining for the evening, but she wasn't exactly eager to go home; it was her night off from streaming, and she might as well enjoy it.
She could feel an Order aura approaching, a Page, but she didn't turn around, keeping her eyes on the water. It wouldn't have to be a Thing if she didn't make it one, after all.

It was starting to once again become something to look forward to, powering up. Home was getting a little hairy with her parents attitudes growing worse by the day, and besides. Dinara had friends now...in this secret life of hers.
She felt whoever it was before she saw them, but when she saw that almost glowing blue, and the mass of hair, a smile began to creep over Dinara’s face. “...Lilith?” The name escaped her lips before she really had a chance to think it through, and she was hurrying over to the girl, eager to see her again. Eager to talk.
Eager to tell her about Marialite and to find out if that was the group that Lilith was really with...and what it was like.
“It’s me! I missed you!”
Oh...she hoped that she would be able to get her hair played with again...and...oh! “I have your bow! I made it for you like I promised!”

Lilith knew that voice, and it made her perk up immediately. She stood, getting behind the bench and swinging around it so she was facing Dinara as the other girl came running up.
"Dinara!" She greeted, brightly, all smiles for her....friend. They were friends, weren't they? It felt strange, since they'd only seen each other the once, but they'd shared plenty, and Dinara was so sweet...it was hard not to think of her as a friend, even if they were on opposite sides.
"I missed you too," she said, and she opened her arms for a hug. "I'd love to see that bow--I bet it looks gorgeous."

Dinara gave a little grin and drew the bow out of her subspace pocket. It was beautiful, a dark satin covered in green glitter that looked purple in some lights, with a silver horse in the middle. “I hope it’s okay...I know it’s kind of dumb. That i”m kind of dumb but...I’m really happy to have a freind, just in case you were wondering.”
The page moved into the outstretched arms, snuggling against the corrupt and relaxing there for a moment.
Hugs were always so nice. One of her most favorite things.
“What have you been up to? Have you been safe? Happy?”
Those things were important, after all. Not that she really knew the answers if she was asked the same but...still.
She cared about Lilith more than herself...it was always easier to care for someone else.

Lilith gasped. It wasn't even an exaggerated one--the surprise and charm was genuine, and she took the bow with gentle, careful hands. It was a work of art, and she oohed and aahed as she turned it over.
"Diunara, this is...it's beautiful," she said, softly. Immediately, she shifted her grip so she could pull up her ponytail, and affix the bow to the tie that held it in place. "I'm really lucky to have you as a friend, too." She let her hair go, though a bit reluctantly, and then smiled warmly.
"I've been good. Definitely keeping myself safe. What about you? Are you okay? Nothing too bad, I hope?"

Dinara began to smile, her whole face lighting up with it. “I’m so glad you like it! It really fits you, and it looks so beautiful! I”m...I’m okay! You...can I ask something LIlith? Are you with the um....Negaverse? I’m sorry if you told me before, but I think I understand it better...and are you happy? If you are with them. I met someone who is with them...and she was explaining some things to me and...I just...I guess I'm curious.”
The ribbon did fit her just as much as she had hoped it would, and Dinara felt her smile growing as she watched it sparkle slightly in the corrupt’s hair. “I’ve been safe. She was really nice...nothing bad...I mean. I’ve been sad but...but what else is new...am I right?”
Sure that wasn’t how things were supposed to work but...such was life.

Lilith was nodding along, smiling broadly over the bow; she couldn't take her eyes off it, at first, until Dinara asked her question. For a moment, she was startled, and then she softened and nodded.
"I am with the Negaverse, yes," she confirmed. "I'm very happy--I've never been anything else, so I can't really compare, I guess? But I do like where I am. I'm happy, and I feel safe, and I know there's always someone I can call for backup."
She did frown, a little, though. "I'm sorry you've been sad, I...is there anything I can do to help? To make things easier, or anything like that?"

Dinara nodded, feeling warm and a little fuzzy from the way that Lilith really did seem to love the bow. It made her happy. That she was happy. It was a delightful feeling. “That’s really good to know! Thank you for telling me...um...I...I’ll be okay. I have you! And I have my other friend too...I...I think I’ll be okay...and I think...I might try to...might think…”
She blew out a breath. “I don’t know! I have things to think about, I guess...so I’m going to think. For a while...but um...hopefully...maybe I...might be…”
She shrugged. “...On the same team as you one day...I don’t know...I’ve...I’m thinking about it...but...nothing’s for sure…”
Obviously...it was a very big decision after all. “...I hope we could be friends if I ever am?”

Lilith nodded, and she gave Dinara a soft, warm smile.
"I hope you do decide to become one of us," Lilith said. She couldn't help but be excited at the prospect. Dinara had struck her, since their first meeting, as an ideal person to join the Negaverse. She was soft, certainly, but that could be molded into something stronger.
"We're friends already, but we'd be even better friends if we were on the same side, I think." She made a little delighted noise. "And I'd be so, so happy to have you! Oh, it'd be wonderful, we could spend so much more time together. We can go shopping, and get ice cream, just hang out..." She sighed, dreamily. "I hope you do come back with us. I don't..." She sighed. "I don't have many friends. So I'd like to have one that I can spend time with on both sides of my life."

Dinara smiled, small at first, but by the end of Lilith’s excitement, it had grown into a grin. “Oh...well...then I’ll have to really think it through. But...I’ll let you know if I can! If not, I'll...see if my friends can contact you. I know they’d be willing to help me if I asked them.”
Friends. She’d already have so many more friends if she corrupted, and that thought alone made her feel warm. “I...I would really love that, you know. Going shopping and getting ice cream. I could teach you how to make bows!”
It would be wonderful.
With a soft, happy sigh, Dinara hesitated. “Can I have a hug? I should get going but...I really want a hug.” And she figured that both she and Lillith deserved one. They were amazing, after all.

Lilith nodded. "I'd love to learn! You make such gorgeous ones, and I'm not really crafty, but--? It'd still be fun. And I'd love to learn."
It was sort of a dream, wasn't it? To have a close friend that wasn't her sister, who she could share whatever she wanted to with...Yes, Lilith wanted that very, very badly.
And instead of saying anything out loud, Lilith stepped forward, pulling Dinara into a tight hug. "I'm glad I got to see you again. And I'll look forward to when we can do it more often!"
