Name: Chibiru Musashi
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Race: Felis

Appearance: Chibiru has a muscular frame that somehow manages not to out grow itself. His muscular form is compact, leaving him thick but not bulky. His fur matches that of a white bengal tiger. A pale off-white base with striking dark stripes of deep navy that cross his coat. He has a thick, yet short snout, giving him a shapely jawline that any human man would die for. Chibiru keeps his facial hair from growing too long, as he hates when his cheek fur grows out too much and gives him the cutesy cub look. He wears a small pair of dark, circular glasses, similar to John Lennon on his large snout, looking slightly out of place, but accenting his odd style. He wears a well-fitted vest around his upper body, black with gold trim. There are toggles that fasten the vest together, and these are made of black iron. He has loose-fitted dark grey pants that are very fluid for quick movement, but bound tightly at the ankle to avoid any form of tripping. Chibiru stands at a solid five foot seven inches.

Chibiru has a single holster on his hip, fastened just beneath his vest, which holds a thick tanto-length blade. This was the relic he chose upon his entry into the KinsGuard. It was a weapon he knew as soon as he touched it, would be as versatile as he was. The blade, when drawn, with a twist, would break into two, in an X shape. They could be pulled apart from here, but a wire would forever bind them by the hilts. This wire was only about three feet in length, and as such the two blades had to be used in unison perfectly--even the wire between them could become a deadly defensive or offensive weapon. He wears nothing on his feet, nor does he cover his arms or legs. His tail is adorned with several golden bands which closely match the three golden loops that he has through the top cartilage of his left ear.

Personality:Chibiru was off to a poor start from birth. He was the runt of the litter, and wasn't the fastest on the take when it came to learn how to hunt, either. He earned his name, Chibiru. It meant to become dull, or worthless, and he lived with that mark on his back his whole life. As such, he ended up a quiet and shy teen, focusing on his martial arts instead of friends, and doing his best not to disappoint the people in his life. He is meek, and easy to get discouraged, though he ultimately never gives up. He is talented in many ways, but manages to ]neglect to admit that to himself, or accept a compliment. Although he is soft-natured, he was raised with a lack of care when it comes to death. He takes life with little remorse, regardless of the reason behind it. If he is hired to complete a task, it will be completed. This was a code that his parents insured ran deep in his veins. He has a tendency to forge relationships and friendships and discard them without a second thought, so long as it serves a purpose greater than the need to keep social connection. So, although he is quite a nice man, it is also quite possible he could be a sociopath. It all depends what side of the bed he might have woken up on.

Bio: Chibiru was held to exceptional standards his entire life. When he was a cub, only just able to take his first strides, he was chastised for his inability to run. When he could run, it was his lack of jumping strength. When he could leap, he was not able to land silently. Everything was a challenge, and every challenge was a graded test. Each failed attempt or disappointing evaluation was met with strict punishment. He was beaten and left without food for days when it was deemed that his performance was not good enough. The Musashi name, after all, was one of impeccable skill and unrivalled fame throughout all of Bast. When a nobleman needed his wife murdered, and for it to look like an accident, the Musashi family was called. When a child went missing without a trace, and turned up once more, at their family home, the captors never to be heard of again...it was the Musashi family. They were myth and legend, and most people believed that they didn't exist at all. Chibiru was branded a failure from his birth, and named as such. He had three siblings, all of which were born with ten times his strength, and all of which superseded him in every way. They reveled in reminding him of his own failures, and as he grew into his body as a teenager, he stopped a half foot short of his shortest sibling, and this too he was eagerly reminded of. His muscular frame was tight, and compact, unlike his burly kin. Even his sister had a frame that matched his own easily.

However, miraculously, even though the three siblings had the world at their fingertips--the perfect genetic makeup--they could not manage to complete a task with the efficiency that Chibiru learned. His harsh training and heavy abuse, more given to him out of hate and spite than anything, ended up steeling his spirit and hardening his resolve. His ever-present failure humbled him and also made him thirst for approval. He became like a phantom. A white blur one might see before they died. The ghost of death itself. Until jealousy reared its head. When he was nineteen years old, he was given an a job that all three of his siblings had been watering at the lips for. He was to infiltrate the castle of Dellhaven in order to find a prisoner that was held under tight guard. A prisoner that was arrested on the suspicion of stealing and hiding a small fortune's worth of local merchant's gold and silver. The mission stated that the guards would be removed for a whole hour during rotation, specifically rerouted to avoid that location for the period of time. It was too good to be true...but even if things went south, Chibiru would make his way out. He was confident he could do this. His parents never would have assigned him the task if he could not. When he arrived, the guards were indeed missing. The prisoner crumpled in his cell like some lifeless trash. When Chibiru approached, however, nets fell, weighted from the ceiling, and strong, Felis hands grabbed him tightly, pulling the ropes together and tying him tighter and tighter. When they threw him into the ocean, Chibiru Musashi died.

When he rose from the tides, vomiting saltwater and silt, he was a new man. A free man. As he choked for breath, crawling up the beach, his fur matted with mud and filth, he laughed. He had never felt this jovial before. The possibilities! He was a free man! He left the coast and roamed Dellhaven for some time before realizing the close proximity to his family could eventually get him caught, regardless of how well he concealed himself. Instead, he decided to move himself to Oar's Rest. The smell of the ocean reminded him of his home, at least, on the small piece of Demetian coastline. It was here that he worked his way into a small band of mercenaries. He worked with them for several years, before they found themselves at the site of a massacre. One of the guarded passageways, the areas known for Golems to travel from Vayle to Bast, was attacked while they escorted a caravan of market goods. The Golems exploded from the stepping stone's gates. There were six of them to the KinsGuard's one, and it wasn't hard to tell that the man wouldn't last long.

Chibiru sent the caravan running in the opposite direction as fast as he could get the horses turned, and he ran for the gateway without thinking. He pulled the makeshift daggers from his back belt, and readied himself. His dagger intercepted the long bladed claw of a Golem attempting to strike the KinsGuard's rear, and the man uttered a curse and a thank you as they fought. Chibiru felt his muscles turn to jelly beneath the appalling strength of the Golem. His arm was swiped aside like a toy, and the Golem sent him flying with a savage kick. It was then that the KinsGuard realized back-up had not arrived...this man was just...a regular Felis. Though he tried to keep him out of it, Chibiru threw himself into the fray, managing to distract a couple of the enemies long enough for the KinsGuard to eliminate a couple of his own. It was looking proper before one of the Golems took Chibiru by surprise. It vanished into the shadows at its feet, and it sprung forth from the shadows beneath Chibiru's own feet. It was impossible to see coming for someone as inexperienced as he was. The KinsGuard was the only thing that saved him. He pushed Chibiru out of the way, the Golem's scythe-like arm blade driving up through the man's neck, into his skull. He died instantly. His body shed into light, and vanished as if he had never existed, and Chibiru realized that no amount of training he had gone through could prepare him for this foe.

He fought with tooth and nail for twenty minutes against the remaining four Golems. He lost three fingers, two toes, and his left eye, and as the Golems were surrounding him, prepared to tear his heart from his chest, a blinding light obscured his vision. Three forms, moving too fast to track. There was a flurry of movement and he felt warm blood spatter his face. When he came to, he was in a pool of water, floating in a hot-spring like nothing he had ever seen. He flexed his hands, and his feet, feeling all of his missing toes and fingers. He blinked and felt the eye he knew he had lost. He was met by the man who had saved him in battle--alive and well. And it was he who explained the KinsGuard, and welcomed Chibiru into the fold. Someone who had risked so much...surely they would make a fine soldier. Chibiru accepted, and has been working for them ever since, keeping a low head, and avoiding the detection of his family. At the very least, if someone like him ever claimed to be of the legendary Musashi line...nobody would even believe him.

Relic List

Quote:
Relic Name: Siamese Blades
Affected Stats: +20% Strength

Description: The Siamese Blades caught Chibiru's eye instantly. At first glance it looked like a chunky, inelegant weapon with limited use. The medium length blade was too thick to be wielded with finesse. However, upon closer inspection, the thickness was because of the ability to rotate the two halves apart from each other in an X shape, and then pull them free into 2 different weapons, attached by a thin garrote wire fastened to each hilt. The wire was short, meaning the blades could not be moved too far from one another, but it also meant that it would be an incredible tool to entangle his foes with and perhaps de-limb them with a tight pull after wrapping it around an arm or leg. The blades are black as night with a shimmering golden edge, The hilt is wrapped tightly in coarse thread, and the wire is fastened to a tiny loop on the very end of the hilt.
