It had been quite some time since she'd bumped into anyone she'd met in the strange village. In hindsight she should have at least found a means to add them to her contact's list, but given she had been abducted from her room without her earpiece that had made it a touch challenging. Alas, despite its size Destiny City always had a way of feeling small and she had confidence that in time she would run into each of them again.
She never set out to find anyone of course, that simply wasn't how these things worked. Instead, she preferred to go about her daily business and eventually her patience would be rewarded. That was how it worked in theory and generally speaking that did seem to be how it worked for her in practice too. Therefore it should have come at no surprise that this afternoon she was out in search of a recommended little hole in the wall that was supposed to make the best sandwiches.
In the end she'd be the judge of that though.
...Or she would be once she found it.
For the time being the feline was wandering with purpose through the city streets, occasionally pausing to check a street sign here and there to make sure she was on track. So far so good, but it wouldn't have been entirely out of the realms of possibility for her plans to get derailed at some point since in this city that did tend to be how things went more often than not!

Ryan hummed to himself as he walked to one of his favorite little lunch spots. He hadn't been in a while, having made a lot of his own cooking videos (and, obviously, eating the results, because wasting that was stupid). He nearly ran the poor kitty over, winding up hopping on one foot for several seconds to back off without stomping on the poor thing. "Oh gosh, sorry kit—Wait, Namielle?" he asked, eyes wide with surprise. "Hey! Good to see you, y'know, alive and stuff."

In the grand scheme of things she should have been mindful that to a Senshi, the little star on her forehead was a bit of a giveaway. He may not have been in a powered form and technically seemed to come out of nowhere as a result, but that didn't mean his brain stopped working when he was experiencing the more 'normal' parts of life.
She'd consider herself lucky she wasn't stepped on though, and it wasn't long before she had turned to face the rather enthusiastic man who had crossed her path and almost flattened her into the pavement. Admittedly she could be quite sturdy but somehow she doubted she'd have gotten away completely unscathed from that one!
"Hmmm...Someone that knows me, but I don't seem to know them," she replied with a raised brow. "That would imply that we've met before in other haunts," she clucked her tongue thoughtfully and then smiled. "Not that I'll ask you to give away your identity as the walls always seem to have eyes lately but I suspect I may have a rough idea of who you are..."
"But to be fair I do have nine lives so in theory I only got close to losing one of them back then," she stuck out her tongue. "You seem brighter now," she added. "Freedom suits you, but if my suspicions are correct I believe you owe me a meal to review," she teased.

Ryan couldn't help but grin at her as she talked her way around his identity. "If the walls have eyes, how are they hearing?" he asked teasingly, "And, yeah, uh, I was actually coming out to get a lazy lunch, but if you wanna do the meal thing now, I can take you back to my apartment! "And nine lives sounds pretty nice, though, I'm not sure I'd like it for myself," he chuckled, "There's an endless amount of things to do in this world, but I think I'd grow lazy if I had nine."

"....."
Okay so he had her there and that was totally what she had meant, but there was no going back now. She'd had a slip of the tongue and she would have considered herself fair game at that stage.
"Maybe they can lip read," she replied smoothly, turning her nose up ever so slightly in the haughtiest fashion she could muster, though the glint in her eye made it clear she could accept she'd been caught on this occasion.
"I mean if you're after a lazy lunch then I wouldn't want to put you out," she continued after a moment and clucked her tongue. "We can always set a real date for that and you can help me review one of the local haunts here," she added and tilted her head to the side.
"I've never had a guest reviewer and it could be intriguing to segway in to reviewing you after," she grinned. Regardless, provided she was fed she was unlikely to dispute either choice, she just wanted food in her belly one way or the other!

Ryan giggled as she played off on his joke, nodding solemnly. "Yeah, that is true. Guess they could probably read all the body language that goes along with the words, too, much easier that way." He put a hand on his hip as she suggested they review a place together, humming softly in thought. "Why not? Now that I've met you again, we can always figure something out later like you said. Get phone numbers and all that," he said with a grin, "Where did you want to go?"

"Fortunately, this time I actually have my ear piece," she lifted her paw to tab at the small earring that seemed to be attached to her ear. It matched with her necklace rather well, but it did seem to have the tiniest antennae coming out of it. It was safe to assume that this was probably her version of a phone since the lack of reliable and apposable thumbs was likely to cause issues in terms of day-to-day use.
"Last time they didn't even let me bring it with me so I never did get to take anyone's number," she muttered. She was only slightly bitter, but in time, she did hope that she found the majority of them so that she could fill in those gaps in her contact list. "So we'll get you put in to this straight away and that means we can schedule our official meal at a later date," she clucked her tongue.
"And it gives you someone else to call for back up if you get stuck, you know?"
...Not that she could do much, but she could howl at someone else to go and assist if things got too rough.
"Anywho I was headed to this sandwich place, it's not supposed to be 'classy' but apparently they make some of 'the best' sandwiches according to my readers so I promised I would check it out and see if I agreed," she raised both eyebrows. "Given sandwiches can be made my anyone I'm genuinely curious as to what makes these ones so special," she added.
"It's supposed to be just off Regent Street near a little vintage store with a hat display in the window," she finished. She wasn't great at street names, but the vintage store would certainly help her spot the place!

He nodded along as she spoke, eyes widening in realization. "Hey, that's where I was going for lunch," he said, laughing softly, "That's a fun coincidence. It really is good. And you're right, anybody can make a sandwich." Pausing to gesture her to follow as he began walking again in the direction of the shop, he continued with, "But it takes good knowledge to get the best ingredients and arrange them just the right way. I mean, come on, we've all even had a bad PB&J sandwich before, right?"

"I'll level with you, I actually hate Peanut Butter and Jelly," she confessed as she padded alongside him. She'd tried it on several occasions and just couldn't find the appeal. Both taste and texture hadn't worked for her and after a while she'd put it in the same category as marmite and vegemite, some people were just made to love it and she didn't appear to be one of them.
"But if that's where you were headed then that means you have made my task so much more convenient," she chimed, tone joyous as she turned another corner. "Because now I have the benefit of having someone who can order for me and they'll have some good recommendations," she pointed out.
"Not that I can't turn into a human-esque looking individual for a time, but it's a bit of a challenge to not attract that attention and it really doesn't last for long. Makes it hard to enjoy some of the meals if I can't stay that way for long enough to eat it all... But I have gotten very good at using utensils with my paws."
"We'll just have to find a nice park bench somewhere that I can sit down and enjoy this in earnest after. So long as you don't mind of course, otherwise I can shift into something more presentable -" she paused.
"I do have money so the meal is on me, very least I can do for all the extra work you probably didn't intend to do today."

"Yeah, I reckon it's hard to get food at a place when you're a cat," he said, "Especially when a place doesn't really have any delivery options. You don't need to change if you don't want to, I am just fine being seen as a weirdo who's getting human food for a cat.If anyone starts s**t, it's real easy to tell them to go to hell or something, y'know?" He shook his head, though, as she offered to pay. "Nah, don't worry about it. It's probably easier on both of us if I pay right now, and if we meet up at a place that's not mine again, you can take a turn. Be better prepared then, right?"

"Hah! See, that's why you have a lovely pet senshi to get it for you on his way home," she smirked. She was rather pampered to say the least and wasn't entirely sure she would have been quite so lucky if she hadn't managed to find a bachelor who spent more time out of his house overworking than anything else. His heart was in the right place, but given his own goals in life it did mean that both she and Orias tended to have the run of the house.
...Something that had resulted in an almost total remodel of a basement that neither Namielle or said bachelor, even knew existed.
"But normally when I go inside I look like you," she explained. "Human, nothing particularly interesting," she continued. "The device that lets me do that though doesn't last for very long so I kind of have to grab it and run on those occasions... This way I might be able to sit outside and enjoy the weather for a bit!" she grinned.
"And seriously I can pay it's no trouble, I stuff it all in my space pocket so I can just fish out my purse," she chuckled.
"No one needs to know that you're ordering for me though, it's totally normal to pick up extra orders for people... I'm just your pet cat who follows you while you're out on lunch for all they care."
A momentary pause.
"That and it's totally normal to throw meat at strays, unless we're going for a vegan option in which case you might get a few looks if they suspect you're going to share it with me," she conceded.
"Oh, just no bell peppers though, for some reason I just really don't like them and they ruin the whole thing for me, so give those a miss. Everything else is fine though!"

Ryan chuckled softly as she talked. She sure was a chatty little cat, but he liked that about her, so far. Always had something to say, seemed like. "No bell peppers, got it," he said, nodding, "And if you're sure, sure, uh, paw over the cash, since you don't have any hands. Also, yeah, no, I am not feeding vegan food to a cat, that's just... I mean, I don't technically know how different your biology is from a normal Earth cat, but meat's important, and nobody else would know the difference, so."

"Wonderful!" she rather liked it when others didn't argue and once he had accepted her offer to foot the bill she bounded forward a few steps until she was near a darker alley and then jammed her 'arms' inside what appeared to be nothing. A little bit of wiggling and she fished out a tiny coin purse, one that seemed to have been delicately decorated in little faux beads and something she was quite fond of.
"Catch!" She added as she tossed the purse towards him and smiled. "It should have enough, I made sure to top it up before I left," she pointed out and took a breath. "And I don't mind vegan food but I do like the taste of proteins so I'd much prefer to enjoy them when able," she chuckled. In the end, she was still predominantly 'cat' and when it came to overall biology she wasn't entirely carnivorous but she doubted she could ever be persuaded to go the opposite route either.
"I will trust in your chef taste buds and see what you come out with," she winked. "I'm really quite excited actually, let's hurry before there's too big of a line!"

Ryan thought her excitement was rather endearing and grinned back at her, going to get in line. He ordered and paid for a couple of sandwiches, figuring on getting Nami the same thing he usually did just to keep things simple. It was only as he was paying that he wondered where exactly she'd gotten actual money to pay for this, but... Eh, it wasn't his business, most likely. He came back, glancing around before handing her the purse. "Gotcha. Cute bag, by the way, handmade?"

"Yep, Grandma May made it," she replied as he returned with the sandwiches. She began to pad towards the signs she'd seen for a nearby park and smiled fondly. Sure, he might not know who the old lady was, but she was a rather eccentric and very understanding neighbour that lived beside her. Given that the Mauvian had several accessories already she had simply assumed that a little purse would suit... It just had never been finished.
Namielle was fairly certain it was meant to have a strap on it although she'd never thought to pursue it. A purse was far safer in subspace than on her person anyway, and it probably would have sparked far too many questions that would end poorly for her anyway.
"Anywho let's go eat and we can check our diaries at the same time," she finished. Once they found a bench near some convenient clumps of trees she would slip away and transform.
Maybe they could exchange opinions too, a collab sounded more and more appealing as it had time to bed in. It was always good to change things up and it would generate a stir around her next blog if she was reviewing him next!genovianprince Can end with them both wandering off to the park if you would like, up to you! <3
