Hobbies:
- Sleeping — If Miro had to equate himself to a stereotypical “brand” of human, he’d be that lazy adult man child who sleeps in his parents’ basement and doesn’t have a job and plays video games all day. Except that since Mirosnjha is a cat, this is a somewhat more accepted practice. Miro tends to sleep the entire day away while his normal human caretakers are active. He’s welcome to come and go as he pleases (and does have a handful of homes that feed him and let him nest in their clean laundry), no one is stopping him from going out, but it’s so much more warm and comfortable inside and so easy to fall asleep when he’s got nothing going on. And then even at night, when people are asleep, they really look like they could use something to cuddle with, don’t they? He better hang around just in case someone wakes up and starts wondering where he is.
Puzzles — Crosswords are his favorite, but he dabbles in the occasional sudoku and will try his paw at jigsaw puzzles when they’re out and just waiting to be worked. Even if his claws aren’t exactly great for picking up those tiny pieces or writing utensils, and it’s hard to maneuver them too well, he still can’t help but feel proud for figuring something out! Some of his myriad of families frequently try to do lots of different puzzle-type workbooks, but they abandon them when they get too hard, or sometimes they’ll just take a break and leave them out. Miro doesn’t mind putting his two cents in when no one is watching, and he’s never had the problem of anyone questioning him about any added answers or filled-in pieces.
Games — KINGDOM DEATH is his favorite game. It’s a relatively elaborate almost DnD-like board game that Miro has never actually been able to play, but he understands the rules and concepts from watching human gatherings, and he is just waiting for the opportunity when he might be able to join. He’s made more character sheets than is reasonable for someone who has never actually played the game, but the character creation is his favorite part, so it helps tide him over while he waits. In the meantime, he also “borrows” computer access while no one is at home. It’s pretty easy to keep track of human workdays and only play when no one is around. And it’s easy enough to clear browsing history so no one is ever any the wiser. It keeps him entertained and kind of makes him feel like a cool secret agent (because being a Mauvian in hiding is apparently not enough for him).
Virtues:
- Fiercely Protective — There are bad things out there. Knowing that the evil and hurtful won’t go away if he ignores it is pretty much the only thing that spurs Mirosnjha into acting. A lot of it is stuff he doesn’t want to deal with and doesn’t want to be responsible for, but he acknowledges that most people (and cats!) would probably prefer a peaceful, normal life. Unfortunately, that’s just not what’s available to them. He is clingy to the people he adopts and often finds a way to gently encourage them away from harm if he senses something disastrous near. If that doesn’t work, then he at least feels confident that a Mauvian is a more appealing target than a civilian to pretty much everything, so he is willing to make himself obvious enough to draw attention before bolting the heck out of there. If he finds himself in attack range, you can believe he won’t hold anything back, whether it’s teeth and claws or a well-aimed star beam.
Tidy — Despite his massive size and troublesome amount of fur, Miro is still a prim and proper boy. He takes good care of himself and good care of the spaces he inhabits. He has to because it would be a huge pain if something were to get stuck in his luxurious fur or if he started growing lots of tangles and mats. That would be uncomfortable and not at all conducive to those restful days he enjoys so much. It’s better to spend a little bit of time now rather than a whole lot of time later (but if he happened upon anyone who was interested in giving him a grooming, it seems like it would be rude to refuse. People seem to be very good at this, and of course he will be friendly with someone doing him a solid). He’s very careful with his bulk, and takes light, sure steps so as disrupt as few things as possible. Miro is typically polite and unintrusive. For the most part.
Inquisitive — How is he supposed to learn the answers to his favorite crosswords if he doesn’t have the information to solve them? Miro loves asking questions. He loves lounging around people and learning about them through watching what they do and where they place their interest. He loves researching topics during computer time such as which sites around the city have the most reported strange occurrences or what the most popular sandwich topping is (research seems divided between cheese and bacon). It doesn’t really matter if the answers are relevant or not; he just likes to know things, and it is so easy to know things on earth! Pretty much all you have to do is ask the computer for information, and it gives it freely.
Flaws:
- Lazy — One of his favorite activities is literally sleeping, so of course Miro has a bit of a lazy streak. He’s big on lounging and not particularly fond of working. As a cat, he’s not typically asked to do many things, but as a Mauvian, he tends to shirk a lot of his duties. He may not be the one actively engaged in fending off evil, but it’s still a lot of responsibility that he’s just not sure he wants. Awakening a senshi kind of makes it his fault if they get injured or killed while fighting, and he really wishes he didn’t have to deal with that. On the other hand, it’s not really his power to keep from them, so Miro feels as if he is in a bit of a bind since he’s practically obligated to make sure they have access to a power that is very much theirs... And oh, man is it just really draining to think about these kinds of problems for too long. It’s easier to just stay inside and take a nap. The rest of the world is way too taxing to be dealt with on a regular basis.
Spoiled — As someone who doesn’t have to ask for permission, Mirosnjha is accustomed to just sort of having whatever he wants. He doesn’t steal, and he’s not reckless with displaying his above-normal-cat intelligence to humans, but when he wants to play games, there’s any number of homes he might access to do just that. When he wants a snack, he really only has to bat his beautiful blue eyes, and the humans practically fall over themselves to give him a treat. He’s too beautiful to ignore, and he can be very persistent in his persuasions, and unbelievably, he’s not used to anyone being annoyed at him about it. Resigned is the worst response he’s gotten, but Miro is careful to reward good human behavior with lots of rubs and purrs, and they seem to be very pleased with just that. He’s used to being pampered and adored, and he’s not going to argue when people provide.
Aloof — Miro did spend many years behaving as a normal cat, and as such he has gained a guise of maximum aloofness. Take one look into his lazy, pretty blue eyes and you have that sensation that Mirosnjha just absolutely does not care what happens to you. Of course he does, if it is something that is disastrous and worth his effort, but there are a lot of small problems that are definitely more your business than his. He is not an ideal cat to come to for life’s normal issues, and though he will listen, he is certainly not one to be relied on to come up with a solution. He’s easily more interested in people doing him favors than he is in doing them for anyone else, and though he is usually polite, he can be quite chilly to people who approach him asking fir things without offering anything first. He will give what he wants and rarely more than that.
Challenge: You really don’t want to make this difficult.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : CAT FORM
Face/Ears: broad, fluffy face with large, heavily furred ears
Body: on the larger side of cat breeds, with big, heavy paws, a barreled chest, and stocky figure with a long tail
Fur: dense, thick, ash-gray fur with no markings of any kind. He’s a relatively unassuming kitty.
Eyes: big, round eyes in a pretty, gem-like sapphire color
Star Color: very pale lilac
Accessories: Dark ropes fitted with vibrant orange, pink, and blue gems coil loosely around his neck, torso, and tail. There is a larger, swirled and glassy pendent fastened close to his hips.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : HUMAN FORM
Eyes: big, sweet, sapphire-blue eyes
Hair: relatively long and straight ash-gray hair that is pulled up into a neat, high ponytail. He has a few shorter strands that fall over his shoulders, and his bangs are parted down the middle, framing his face.
Face: Miro’s facial features are soft and delicate. He has a long, straight nose, soft lips, slim bows, and is lacking sharp definition to his chin and cheekbones. He has a very sweet face in human and cat forms!
Star Color: pale lilac
Body: Miro has a sweet, soft face, but his body is anything but. He stands at an almost inhuman 6’9” and is just as stocky in human form as he is in cat form. Laziness gives his muscles a bit of a softer edge, but he is far from weak, and there’s no mistaking it.
Clothes: He’s very well-covered in terms of clothing: thick, dark navy pants, and a heavy, pink-peachy coat. He’s decked out in the prettiest of pastels, and the edges of most of his garments are lined in soft grey fur.
