Mito was not particularly excited with what was about to happen. In fact, it made her hands a bit clammy and her pulse quicken. She really, really disliked going to the infirmary, even for these yearly checkups that they made sure she did. And ensure they did - once, they'd even sent one of the healers to her alcove to bring her down!
Like, she understood it was important, but she just didn't like the clinic. It was so cold and sterile and yucky. And she always had to go there when she did get sick or injured, so naturally she'd associate it with feeling bad.
Of course, being escorted was even more awkward than just going on her own.
So she was here on her own.
With a sigh, she walked into the infirmary and, ears up and alert, started looking around.

Nurse Redheart noticed the new comer. Thankfully it was just quick checkups. She had just finished one. Just a few bumps and scrapes. So she was done quickly. "Welcome! If you can sit over there for a bit We'll be right with you." She cleaned her hoofs and marked a few things on her current fan's scroll. She noticed everyone was still busy. So she smiled at the girl. "Hello! I'm Nurse Redheart. Can I get your name?" She smiled at the girl.

Upon hearing a voice from further in, Mito offered a hesitant smile before following instructions and seating herself in the little waiting area. For how hard the place tried to be inviting, it almost became contradictory and in being too-inviting was actually off-putting. Or rather it was probably mostly Mito not wanting to be there and projecting these thoughts on the environment. Same thing.
Maybe she could still just go back?
Oh no, one of the healers was coming over.
"O-oh..." her voice was uncharacteristically demure due to the setting as she responded. "I'm Mitochondrion... BUT everyone just calls me Mito!"
