Prompt 9: Small custom shops and stalls always seem to open up this time of year, and Destiny City has no shortage this yeart. Several seasonal themed shops have already received raving reviews, and among them is a small cafe. Outside it looks like a cute vintage cafe, but inside, the shop has been decorated so convincingly that you feel like you've just stepped into a snowy northern forest. They have an array of delicious, cold drinks, and the trip would be worthwhile for that alone--except, shortly after the first sip, anyone who has ingested the drink will find that they sneeze a flurry of tiny snowflakes. The more drinks consumed, the longer you will find you are sneezing little snowflakes. It feels like there is a tickle up your nose for an hour or longer, depending on player choice; drinking more can also lead to longer effects. There are no negative impacts--just the need to sneeze often, and a little burst of cold snowflakes along with each one. Surprisingly, the shop still doesn't have any bad reviews.
Janggunite pulled up the high, furry collar of his white winter coat as he strode down the sidewalk, carefully staying out of any passerby's way as he moved.
It was at least convenient that his uniform didn't look too out of place, nowhere near the degree of ostentatious he'd seen on some corrupts. It probably helped that he didn't have any distinguishing markings on him, either. But covering it all up with a warm coat didn't seem to hurt anything, especially since he was out quite a bit earlier than when he usually tended to his energy draining requirements.
There were still people on the street. When Janggunite went out late, it didn't really matter if his uniform stood out, since the only people he ran into were those he was just going to drain and leave anyway. Most of those nights just consisted of even finding enough people to meet his quota.
But at this time of evening, the struggle seemed to be more about finding someone to drain while going unnoticed. There were enough people out for sure, but he didn't really want anyone to see him doing anything, so he really should be trying to get someone alone and preferably someone who wouldn't call for help at the slightest notion of something strange... It was even more difficult than just waiting a couple more hours until almost everyone was at home and in bed.
Janggunite was, admittedly, becoming a little bit impatient.
Maybe that made him reckless, sloppy, or careless, but he figured that since he was liable to be wandering around for a few more hours, anyway, he might as well get a snack or a drink or something to help occupy him. He couldn't feel any Order signatures that might come hunting for him, and he wasn't dressed in such a way that anyone would think anything strange about him.
So he did just that: Janggunite slunk into the nearest cafe- a cute little place he'd never heard of, that had been appropriately decorated for the season- and ordered a peppermint chocolate milkshake to suit the wintry atmosphere.
It only took a bit of sugar running though his veins to make him feel slightly less irritable. It still wasn't an ideal night. He really felt like he'd wasted a lot of time trying to come out earlier when he should have just stuck to the safety of what he usually did. But with his milkshake in hand, Janggunite was at least ready to be patient for a little while longer.
The worst thing he could do was act hastily and start something in a crowd that he didn't know how to finish. Even Maikoh hadn't acted too brashly...
And it seemed like surely if a youma could control herself, Janggunite should manage to do the same.
He slunk into a back alley, out of sight, and hopped up the one, two, three stories so that he could peer down to the street below and survey the various shops and allies for an opportunity that suited his needs. He took a sip of his shake and settled in to wait.
