It’s a play on duct tape (obviously).
I don't hate the original. I love it for what I was able to do at the time. I used an app that had one layer, no zoom, like 3 undo moves, limited brushes and a limited color palette. You could only save the work when finished, so it was all done in one take. I don't know how long I spent on it. The line brush was thick (no taper) so every line was drawn and then thinned using the eraser.
The original is from 2014 or 2015. I’ll edit this when I find the file XD
The new one is still rough but I’m trying to spend little time on these. I wasted time cuz I chose a very light watercolor brush and then kept coloring over the same areas to darken them. :/

Comments: White peacocks remind me of wishing flowers (dandelions). If/when I revisit the concept, I’ll simplify those tail feathers cuz it’s kinda muddy. The details of the faces got lost when I resized the art. XD; They do have faces

Comments: Just wanted to play with bird shapes and faces. I ended up adding and playing with layers. Also, my pen died so I finished it by drawing with my finger. ...It's been a looong time since I last drew iPad art with just my finger. XD; I hope to make it another long period of time before I do again.
Then, after the pen recharged, I felt like drawing again. Someone told me my penguin was holy and someone else said he was penguin Jesus soooo <.< I added clouds. Used cloud brushes for most. (Penguin from day 3)

Ghost Day 11 Lemon 42 mins  I’ll edit in my format another time. I don’t feel like messing w it right now. I’m right handed and I drew this fully with left hand. I’m also typing left handed. Thank you, predictive text. It’s an homage to my orange from last year’s event. Or was that also a lemon? Idr. Anyway I originally wanted to draw cat with flowers. Was gonna be gorgeous. Well what I picture in my mind is gorgeous, ha. I still have to pull it off. But I know I can’t do it left handed. I’ll eventually draw it as a previous theme Not drawing is killing me. I started event with a case of healing tendinitis in my drawing hand. It’s why I wasn’t drawing more detailed drawings. And it relapsed the other day and I haven’t had use of my main hand since.
