Briallen had a drive for adventure and it was so much so that she had perhaps left the island for a little trip of her own...without really telling anyone. Of course she had left a note for them to read but other than that Briallen had just managed to slip away with some other Sisters who were traveling back towards Jahaur. They had docked in Matori and the teen was already out and about exploring the beaches to see what surprises they held. She had been so young when she left the mainland for Chiume that she never really had the chance to learn much about the other earthling countries. So whenever the chance came to just quickly visit for a few weeks the girl had eagerly tagged along. Now while the others were relaxing at a camp outside of a town, Briallen had found herself wandering the cliffs for a moment longer to enjoy the sight of the stars. Even the night skies seemed different over here and she found herself searching for the constellations that she had grown up with in Chiume. Maybe that was the tail of the great radaku over there? Briallen pursed her lips until something even more baffling happened. A star fell! "What?!" The Alkidike let out a loud gasp as she scurried further up along the cliffs, her amazement driving her further along so that she could get a better view of the night sky. If there really were shooting stars tonight then she wanted to see all of them and make some wishes!

Her dad had left on his trip for work so she was left with her uncle again, but Brexxa didn't mind so much. Her aunt was pretty cool and her little cousins weren't half bad either. Luckily there was no enforced curfew at her uncle's house so she was able to be outside later in the evening.

As she walked around looking for a treasure she could collect she noticed something. There was a strange person up ahead. It took her a minute or two to place their exotic looks but once she did she tilted her head with some curiosity over what it was they were doing. From where Brexxa stood it looked like they were just staring at the sky. So she turned her head up to look as well. Was there something up there that was really interesting? Just as she looked up she saw it. The falling star.

The light of it reflected in her eyes as it streaked down across the sky and she followed its descent. A grin formed and she found her feet moving quickly to take her closer to the other girl so that she too could see better. "Ubeli'ae must be blessing us." She said without thinking.

Briallen had been so interested in the shooting stars that she didn't notice when another figure joined her on the cliffs. "Eh?" A soft gasp left her lips as she twisted around and found herself facing a Matori girl. "When did you get here?" She managed with a few confused blinks before shifting ever so slightly to keep some space between her and the stranger. Was it safe? Briallen wasn't quite so certain considering how long it had been since she actually had visited the mainland. Plus while she had seen some other races in Belrea this was her first real encounter on her own back in Tendaji! Weren't people more eager to fight here? Briallen pursed her lips thoughtfully, her gaze narrowed in suspicion before another question struck her. "Ubeli'ae blessing us?" She blurted before a slight flush covered her cheeks. "My Sisters would say it's Aisha's blessing though...." Saying such a thing made her think about Chiume and the Sisters and Cousins living there. How were they doing? She had to wonder was her family back home watching the same scene? Another star flickered through the sky above them and Briallen found herself scooting forward, her hands grabbing at a thin tree branch as she leaned closer to the edge to get a better look at the sky.

The startled gasp made Brexxa instinctively reach for the girl to make sure she didn't make a sudden movement that would cause her to fall off the cliff. The edges were tricky sometimes. "Careful." Even if they weren't on the highest one a fall would still leave a bruise. To the question of when she'd gotten there she lifted her shoulders. "Just now."

The Matorian nodded her head and looked back up at the sky to watch more of the stars streaking across the sky. They were beautiful to her. When the other girl said that her sisters would say it was Aisha's blessing instead of Ubeli'ae she simply moved her eyes to the side to look at her. "Oh? I guess so. If they aren't from Matori they wouldn't know who we worship. The Obans worship slightly different gods and goddesses as well." Brexxa had learned about the Oban deities through her dad. She was trying to understand the Yaeli beliefs too since she had sailed there several times, but theirs was a bit more difficult to grasp with only bits and pieces of information. "Who is Aisha? Does she have brothers and sisters? Or a lover?"

"Ah, I see." A flush decorated her cheeks as Briallen steadied on her feet. An earthling girl had not only taken her by surprise but also helped steady her! How embarrassing. Her antenna flicked slightly at the thought of how her Sisters would have teased her about such a situation, but Briallen tried to brush it off. Who was she to judge anyone? If anything she was just embarrassed that she had been surprised regardless of who had snuck up on her! Though she found herself more curious whenever the earthling girl started talking about gods. "They do? I suppose that does make sense but Aisha isn't like that....she's our great mother." Replied Briallen to the sudden questions, her lips pressing together as she pondered what the earthling gods must be like. She had learned a little bit from more well traveled Alkidike Sisters but this was the first time she had actually spoken to an earthling about such things. Those on Belrea were more about science and fact unlike those on the mainland who still had a lot of superstitions and religious beliefs apparently. Just the thought made her spirit swell with excitement. There was so much to learn about this world still!

"Aisha doesn't need anything like a lover, but she does have daughters! Three daughter trees that act on their own spread throughout the world on different islands." Briallen grinned before pulling back from the edge so that she could study the earthling girl closely. "So you're from Matori then? Do your gods and goddesses have interesting relationships with one another? We only have Aisha but she's so strong on her own..." Briallen nodded at the thought before another shooting star caught her attention. "I always heard that falling stars are blessings and a rare chance to get wishes granted. Do earthlings believe in such things as well?"

Was the girl embarrassed about something? Brexxa lifted a brow just slightly at the flush that she saw on Briallen. She couldn't imagine why it was there. Hearing about Aisha she looked up at the sky again, watching as more stars flew past them. The glittering tails made her smile. "No lover? How did she get daughters then? Did she use magic to create them?" Did they simply spring up from her thoughts? Were they little versions of herself with another name? How strange.

When asked if she was from Matori she nodded her head. "Born and raised." The question about her gods and goddesses made her grin. "Yeah, they are interesting. Lovers. Siblings. Parents. Depends on which ones you look at." What would it be like to only have one? She couldn't imagine. "Aisha must be lonely though." Was that why she made children?

"Everyone believes differently, but I think we can all agree they are a rare blessing. I don't know about granting wishes, but its a sign to expect new and better things." She glanced at Briallen then.

Briallen paused before nodding thoughtfully. "Sort of?" A small smile crossed her lips as she glanced towards the Matori girl. "Anything is possible for someone as powerful as Aisha! Mima says that all of her blooms come from her great love for us all so maybe that is a type of magic indeed. Our Sisters took seeds from her roots so that her daughters could bloom across the world." Briallen knew that their great mother wasn't exactly a tree like others but at the same time did any tree need a lover to bloom? Earthlings were strange indeed if they needed lovers to grow....her lips twisted into a thoughtful frown before she started to listen to the description of earthling gods. "It sounds like your gods have plenty of dramatic relationships with others." She mused quietly to herself and not meaning any disrespect but more so pondering the fact that there could be so many great entities mingling with one another.

"Fair enough. I know that my mothers consider stars a blessing from Aisha....if we wish loudly enough maybe they can carry our hopes and dreams back to our Great Mother so that she can bless us." Briallen responded with a small smile. "Though honestly I wouldn't know exactly what to wish for myself...." Her voice trailed off as she studied the night sky and watched as another star streaked across. "New and better things....like adventures perhaps would be really nice though." She was already in Matori after leaving Chiume after all! That was a big adventure in itself while her family adapted to all of the changes happening in the world around them. Briallen wanted to see it all and to gather every piece of treasure that she could to share with her family back home.

"They can be dramatic but sometimes that makes them more interesting." She grinned. When it was a story about the gods it was good for it to catch people's attention. It let others know more about them.

She looked back at the stars and thought about the words of the girl beside her. It took her just a second or two of looking from one star to the other before she spoke again. "Do you think they would carry my wishes to Aisha as well? Would she listen to me?" Brexxa was really curious about that. Would the Goddess of Briallen's people listen to the wishes of an earthling? She stared hard at a bright star for a moment and wished for her dad to be happy since he deserved it.

"Adventures? That sounds really nice. I might go on one too." The Matorian nodded her head at the idea. The most she'd done so far was travel with her dad to Oba and to Yael but she never left his side.

"Fair enough." Briallen found herself chuckling at the thought of the earthling gods and what crazy stories they must have. Her antenna flicked at the thought as she studied the Matori a bit more. Did their gods resemble them? Why did all earthlings look so different? Didn't some have stones growing from their skin? But then again she looked different from her cousins as well so Briallen supposed every race had their own unique features. What truly caught her by surprise though was the earthling's question about Aisha hearing her wishes. "Aisha...listen?" She repeated with a few blinks before slowly nodding her head. "I would think that it's possible since she blesses earthlings with blooms when they come with some of our Sisters. As long as one truly believes anything is possible, right?" Not that any earthling could physically approach Aisha without their Alkidike companion but at the same time could one stop them from making a wish to the Great Mother?

Her antenna perked at the idea of an adventure. "Really?" Briallen found herself chirping with excitement as another star shot overhead. "I mean technically I guess I'm on my very first one since I'm here in Matori but I would love to see the whole world. That's my biggest wish!" To travel and gather stories from all over and to keep exploring and finding all the new things! Briallen wasn't afraid of the unknown but rather was truly fascinated with it. Just think about all the things she could find in the future Aisha willing!

Hearing that it could be possible that another Goddess would listen to her wishes made her smile. Brexxa looked down, a blush reaching into her cheeks as she thought about it. "Then I sincerely hope Aisha hears my wish too." It made her feel good to know that there were others that listened to the wants, wishes, and desires of everyone else.

Her attention then went to Birallen as she spoke about being on an adventure and wanting to see the world. Brexxa's smile turned into a grin. "I've only ever been to Yael with my dad for work. I want to see the rest of the world too. I want to collect the treasures of the world." Whatever they may be. And of course what she thought was a treasure might not be to someone else.

"Where are you going to next?" Logically it would be Oba if they were planning to go by land. It they went by sea then it could be over to Yael or even Belrea.

Briallen smiled at the sincere statement. She never knew that she would meet an earthling who wanted to be blessed by Aisha like this! The young Alkidike knew that her mothers had mentioned earthling relationships getting better but she wasn't blind to the stories of the past and the way that some of the older Alkidikes acted towards the other races and vice versa. If anything it made her feel even more open towards the other girl. "I'll pray that she hears your wish as well!" She beamed happily, her expression only brightening more when she heard about the Matori's similar goals. They could be competitors or maybe, potentially allies in their quests?

"Yael sounds amazing. My mothers went there right before I was born and I've always wondered what it must be like there where my cousins live." She mused before tilting her head thoughtfully at the next question. "Well...I honestly am not certain. The Sisters I came over with are headed towards Jahaur but I'm wanting to branch off a little bit maybe before returning to Chiume. This is my first real time in Matori so I was thinking about exploring the local area here for a bit but now you have me thinking about all the other possibilities! What about you? Any exciting place that you're headed towards soon?"

"Yael is nice. At least what I saw of it. I was little so I only got to see the port city with my dad." If they would have had more time then she likely could have talked him into a whole tour of the place but that hadn't happened.

"Jauhar huh? I know its a jungle and that they have a pretty good trade city close to the Oban boarder but that's about it." It hadn't been on her top places to go so she hadn't done much research for it yet. "Matori is nice. The weather is usually always welcoming. Beaches are great too." Of course she lived here so she may be biased. Nothing wrong with that. "I have my sights set on Tale though. I want to get a baby Kinfa. And I know I can get one from a beast breeder at the market but its not the same." Actually going out and finding one that took to her instead of simply relying on her to take care of it sounded more bond worthy to her.

"Ah, I see. That's still a lot more than my own knowledge of Yael." Teased Briallen playfully. "Perhaps it's a place that you should revisit again in the future while looking for treasures. I heard that they have caverns that stretch far underground with all sorts of special stones, some of which glow almost like the crystals found around Chibale." Her excitement was obvious as she spoke about the gemstones and it was no surprise that Briallen adored hearing stories about rare and exciting places. As a child she was always so full of questions for the older Alkidikes. How far could one go beneath the surface? Where would it lead? Did it ever end or could a whole race be living beneath the earth's surface like the Kahikana overseas? Her questions were almost nonstop whenever she was a child and even now it was hard to not continue questioning everything.

Briallen pursed her lips almost in a disappointed pout. "It is all of that but also so much more." She replied with a firm nod. "The creatures there so strange and crystal like while Chiume, the other island where I came from, has trees that even change color during the colder seasons." Admittedly Briallen always felt torn between the two places since they both were dear homes to her but Chiume was the place where she had the fondest memories as a child. She couldn't help but to blink in interest at the idea of a baby Kinfa. "Aren't those the giant birds that you can ride? If you're not getting it from a breeder then....you plan to capture a wild one?" Even as the words escaped her lips Briallen couldn't help the rising excitement at the thought of such a dangerous task. Could she capture a kinfa perhaps as well? Would that even be possible? "Maybe you could use company? I would love to see Tale if I could linger on the mainland for a bit longer." She couldn't help but to think that somehow the stars were already relaying her wishes to Aisha. How fortunate to find an earthling with a thirst for adventure similar to her own!

She did want to revisit Yael but since she'd been there once already she wanted to go to other places first. Placed she hadn't been to yet. As Briallen told her that Yael had caverns that stretched on for a while and glowing crystals she visibly lit up. That just put Yael up higher on the list for sure.

"Mhm.. I want to capture my own. Build a bond in the wild because it chose to accept me not because it had no choice." In her eyes that would mean so much more. Animals raised by breeders didn't really seem to be the same as their wild counterparts. "That would be a true treasure to me. Having a familiar that I truly worked for and mastered rather than one I bought." The effort and memories were the true treasures, those experiences would mean more than anything. At the mention of company she grinned. "Sure, I don't see why not. And we have to go through Jauhar to get to Tale." So that would hit two birds with one stone.
