Quote: Prompt 2: The downside to an army of little bunnies is that they burrow. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains. Misha should have been paying attention.
In his defense, it wasn’t as if he’d knocked into someone, or wandered out into the middle of the street only to be hit by a car. He wasn’t that careless. It was just that sometimes he was a little too focused on talking to his camera, and not focused enough on what he might be stepping on. So when that day’s footage ended up in a video, his subscribers would hear a sudden yelp of surprise, and then watch the camera jerk around wildly before being covered with snow.
There were rabbits all over Destiny City, it seemed. Misha had seen them off and on over the last couple of weeks. He’d even touched one, and got them on camera several times — to the delight of his fans, who found the exchanges adorable. But with the rabbits came rabbit holes. On his way home, Misha’s foot sank into one, and though it wasn’t deep enough for him to fall into, he still tripped and got a face full of snow for his troubles.
He sputtered, wiping snow out of his face with his gloves, which were now damp. Lifting his head, Misha locked eyes with one of the rabbits, which stared at him curiously.
Misha smiled and laughed sheepishly. “Privyet, zaichik.”

Out for a brisk walk to clear his head, Ren was surprised when suddenly a pretty blond tripped and fell face first into the snow in front of him. The young man seemed to be busy talking to his camera (perhaps a blogger?) and clearly didn’t see the holes that had been popping up from the result of their snow bunny infestation.
“Are you okay?” Ren asked with concern as he approached the young man, holding out his gloved hand to help him up. He wore a sleek pewter winter coat that fell to his waist and was lined with a thick warm wool on the inside, part of which could be seen where the collar opened to allow room for his scarf of equally high quality.
Ren would be lying if he didn’t think this young man was pretty cute. And he had a nice smile. Since there was no harm in rebounding from his recent breakup with his fiancée (his decision) maybe he could take his chances getting to know this snow covered stranger better.
“Ren Wilhelm,” he introduced with a charming smile. “If you’re not in a rush, I would love to buy you some coffee or tea while you dry off a bit. Unless you’re trying to get a closeup shot,” he joked, nodding to the rabbits lingering nearby.

Misha was in the process and climbing back onto his feet when the stranger extended his hand. Not sensing any immediate danger, Misha accepted the help with a quickly mumbled thanks, offering Ren a smile in return.
“Misha,” he offered his name, purposefully leaving off his family name.
He brushed snow off of his navy coat, laughing as a couple of rabbits hopped about, circling their feet.
Misha barely paused to consider Ren’s offer, glancing Ren over as he continued to remove snow from his clothing. Gray hair. Brown eyes. Taller than Misha. (Not that it was difficult to be taller than Misha.) Fit enough, but not overly bulky, and he wore nice clothing. Misha didn’t need to see any of the labels to guess that it was designer.
In conclusion, Ren was very good looking and well put together. If they weren’t complete strangers to one another, Misha would have happily accepted.
“Oh, no, it’s okay,” Misha was cheerful and polite as he declined. “I was actually on my way to meet someone. Thank you for the offer, though. I appreciate it.”

Ren was just about to suggest a small cafe that he’d passed down the street when Misha completely rejected him.
He wasn’t sure if he should be offended, or maybe Misha really did have somewhere else to be. Or maybe he wasn’t into guys?
Nah, that wasn’t it.
Still, Ren felt a little thrown off by his offer being declined, although he didn’t let it show on his face, continuing to smile politely at Misha as he watched him brush his jacket off.
“That’s no problem,” Ren said cheerfully back, deciding that maybe Misha was already spoken for. He was cute enough, so it wouldn’t have surprised Ren to know he was already seeing someone.
Was it the someone Misha was on his way to meet? That was a shame.
“Your camera isn’t damaged I hope. You looked pretty focused on whatever you were talking about,” Ren tried, figuring maybe he just needed to be friendly without being overbearing. He wasn’t being overbearing was he?

For just a moment, Misha wondered if it was rude of him to turn this guy down.
Nah, he didn’t owe anyone anything.
Well, he didn’t owe Ren anything. If it was his brother, then maybe. And if it was Yuuri? Definitely. Yuuri had only been working with him for a few weeks and already had to put up with a lot. Sometimes Misha felt guilty for it. Other times, he thought it was good for Yuuri to creep out of his shell, even if only a little bit.
Which was why he couldn’t hang around for long.
“Oh, yeah,” Misha said with another laugh, fiddling with his camera a bit to make sure it was still functioning. Lev would give him a hard time if he managed to bust two cameras in as many weeks. “I should probably pay more attention to where I’m going. I didn’t realize rabbit holes would be an occupational hazard.”
Alright, so that was a lame joke, but it wasn’t like he was actually trying to impress this guy.
“Sorry to hit and run,” Not that he’d actually run into Ren, “but I’m on my way to meet up with a friend. But if you did want to get that coffee sometime…”
Misha dug around into his coat pocket until he could produce a small card that contained his contact information, including every single one of his social media handles. The card itself was ivory in color, speckled with what looked like daisies in one corner. Instead of yellow at the center, each daisy sparkled with gold glitter.
“Feel free to contact me!” he offered, ending with a bright smile and handing the card over as he began to make his getaway.
It wasn’t as if he couldn’t block Ren later if the guy turned out to be a weirdo.

No, it wasn’t rude to turn Ren down. They’d just met after all and just because Ren thought Misha was kind of cute didn’t mean there was any mutual attraction. Maybe Misha wasn’t into guys with gray hair. He didn’t know.
But it seemed like it wasn’t all for nothing! Ren’s smile widened (hopefully not in a creepy way) when Misha pulled out a business card of sorts. One that had glitter and flowers. Ren laughed, amused, because Misha must really like what he was doing to have business cards ready.
Ren lifted a hand to wave Misha goodbye as he ran off, but when Ren stepped backwards to turn around, his foot got caught in the same hole Misha’s had and he quickly joined the bunnies in the snow. Thankfully it seemed as though Misha had already run off.
