There are many superstitions and beliefs in Tendaji, often originating from the culture and gods of each individual region. Wherever one goes, they might find a new routine or practice based on the region they are in. However, there seems to be one thing that all Tendaji residents believe in - the power and beauty of a meteor shower.
The rare celestial event is seen as a blessing, and this one just so happens to have appeared right when the New Year began. Oh what luck and what a great omen - this must be a sign of good fortune for the year to come.

[1/7] Lumikani was out at the beach, her dark eyes looking up at the sky as she enjoyed the peace and quiet. Every so often, her antennae would flicker at the sight of a bright shape darting through the darkness, like fireflies lighting up the sky. Different than the stars, the star shower was a rare treat for the older Alkidike. It had been ages since she had the chance to see and appreciate a star shower, and she felt a little lighter as she looked up.
It felt peaceful in that moment, appreciating the sounds of the silent isle and basking in the lights of the night sky. She reflected on her own changes and growth, from finding the isle with her sisters, to reuniting with her family, and finally seeing her daughters start their own. Peace and contentment filled the soul of the often troubled Alkidike as she looked out into the darkness.

"Wow."
The night sky had always been a point of fascination for the young elidae, but this...this was amazing! It was like the sky was really alive with all those spirits her mother talked about. For a while she was happy just to play with her sister under the stars, but eventually Enya got a little off track.
She was all giggles and smiles when she eventually found Lumikani. Of course she hadn't intended on it, but when she did the little one gravitated toward the older alkidike. "Do you see it? Do you see it?!"

[2/7] Of course, Lumikani could sense when the little youngling was tromping through the area. She was always on guard, sensing with her ears and her antennae for anything out of the norm. That and the giggles gave the young girl away. Lumikani made a note to go to her daughter and recommend some stealth training in the future.
Turning her gaze away from the stars, she couldn't help her small smile at the sight of the girl. She adored her grandchildren, some of the few who could warm her worn out heart.
"I did" she responded softly, moving over from where she sat and patting the sand, "Come, it's quite the sight against the sea..."

The little elidae needed no further encouragement. She gravitated toward her grandmother and took the spot next to her, wiggling in the porous terrain just enough to get comfy.
Seeing the way the starlight reflected off the soft, twilight sea made the moment all the more magical. Enya's eyes couldn't have possibly been brighter and her heart was fit to burst from excitement. "How come you're out here all by yourself?"

[3/7] Lumikani waited until Enya found her spot before leaning back, resting her hands behind her so she could recline and look up to the stars. Her sight was fading, and she wondered what they looked like to the young girl beside her.
"Hmmm..." She replied slowly, still looking to the sky, "Sometimes I find it nice to be by myself. When I'm with others, it's like a great ocean of noise and distractions. By myself I'm able to travel through my thoughts like a river...it's easier to navigate..."
Another star shot through the sky, and she turned fully to look at the girl, "How come you are out here by yourself?"Painted Moose I know you've already grown Enya, let me know if you'd like to abandon

Elyessi I don't mind continuing them one bit! :3 I like having these connections with her fam~
"Mama Pyrrha says it's good to spend some time to yourself and that I shouldn't bother Pyanka all the time. That I need to find peace in my heart and be okay on my own from time to time." The way she said it was as if she were reading from a script; or rather, that her mother's words had become imprinted on her brain. "So that's kind of what you're doing, right? I don't...really like doing it...it's too quiet."
