Name: Beau (Beauregard) Ridenour

Nickname: No real point to shortening his name further. Do not call him by his full name.

Gender/Pronoun: Male, He/Him

Age: 24

Birthday: March 3rd

Sign: Pisces

Gemstone: (I will probably never fill this out again, sorry)

Blood Type: (Meh)

Fav. Food: Pizza! Cheesy pizza, maybe with pepperoni or sausage depending on his mood.

Hated Food: Most green vegetables. They range from bitter to boring and he just can't hack 'em.

School/Occupation: Still looking due to how new he is to Destiny City but he's hoping to find something that makes use of his strength with numbers.

Hobbies:

Games - While he wouldn't claim it as a core part of his identity like some people do, Beau likes video games. His favorites are mostly slower-paced RPG or sim-type games that he can play during his downtime. He also plays some phone app games every once in a while.

Puzzles - Beau loves little logic puzzles. He may not get them right all the time, but he admires the kind of mind it takes to make these sorts of puzzles.

Journaling - Beau started keeping records of his thoughts some time ago, and he continues to do so to track of his mental state and growth. There are different journals with different levels of "security" (simple notepad for basic thoughts, super-password protected digital file for deeper and more painful ones), and as time has gone on he's become fond of collecting journals themselves alongside keeping track of himself.

Virtues: These are positive aspects about your character's personality that affects them on a daily basis. Specifically, these are non-physical traits (such as 'generous', 'kind' and 'outgoing') that other people will look up to your character for having. All profiles have a minimum of two virtues (and a maximum of four).

Mild - Beau has this sense of being mild and agreeable most of the time, very unassuming and friendly. He has a very "everyman" feel to him that makes him approachable, and he's able to keep up a conversation with just about anyone.

Perseverant - It make take a while to get Beau going on a task or action, but once he starts, he doesn't stop till the event concludes one way or another. Even if the course of action seems doomed to failure, he'll see it through to the end.

Dedicated - Beau thoroughly dedicates himself to what he's doing and to the people around him. He gives nothing less than all he can to his friendships and his work. He cares about people and about doing his best, and it shows.

Flaws:

Moody - The mood shifts aren't dramatic, but it's easy to upset Beau's balance, however subtle the indications are. Small cues can shift his mood towards the negative side, sometimes in ways that only make sense to him.

Poor self-esteem - Beau doesn't think too much of himself. Even though he has strengths and useful skills, he doesn't see himself as too useful or remarkable. The quest that took him to Destiny City was intended to help him alleviate his own self-loathing, but he's not quite there yet.

Pessimistic - Beau always prepares for the worst, because he's always sure that the worst (or at least a less than ideal outcome) will come to pass. He may say it's so that he's not disappointed, or that he's pleasantly surprised when good things do happen, but his negative expectations can be a downer or even unrealistic depending on the situation.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Hair and eye colors cannot change from civilian to powered form, nor can tattoos or piercings. If your character has a tattoo as a civilian it will appear on the powered art, though will have a glamour to prevent people who have seen both from identifying civilian identities. Hairstyles can change between civilian and powered form; only Corrupted Senshi have vastly different hair between civilian and powered forms (their hair grows extensively in length!) Unnatural hair and eye color are perfectly fine, and there is no need to say they use hair dye or wear contacts - your character is free to have been born with blue hair if you want. Genetic heterochromia is allowed, but please consider that this is still considered a genetic oddity in our game environment; you are free to play with it but we encourage players to be considerate of this fact! If your character is intended to have different colored eyes due to injury, please make sure you have done adequate research and include relevant information when you post a quest, or PM the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, for help! More information on heterochromia can be found in the FAQ section of the Questing Handbook!

Eyes: A light silvery blue, average size.

Hair: Dirty blonde/brownish, short style, a little fluffy and messy.

Face: Round face.

Skin Tone: Generic pale.

Body Type: Beau is a bit chubby and will need template modification if he ends up there.

Clothes: He leans towards comfortable styles.

Senshi: Dark Mirror Sailor Thales, Senshi of Cognition

(6001, right at the top, linked this way so Gaia doesn't throw a fit)

Challenge: You'll never see it coming!

Fuku Colour: Black (DMS)
Main Color: Red?
Secondary Color: Blue? Kind of stumped palette-wise for him

Fuku:

Reference pictures may be used in place of descriptions, but please be prepared to give extra detail if your artist requires it!

(I'm trying to cobble together what I can but unfortunately my sense for male DMS uniforms is... rough)

(Kind of starting with P5's Joker as the base, ever so slightly, at least in terms of outfit flow... I think I may need to sketch this out because I straight-up don't know how to explain what I want)

(I'm not saying "make him a phantom thief outfit and them DMS-ify it" but I might be saying that)

(This ended up being what I came up with: Quick Thales scribble. I know it'll probably need a ton of rearrangement and punching in by the artist, but uhhhh, I tried. :'D The notes below are annotations).

Collar -- The collar was themed off a jacket collar + lapels- it doesn't look too capelet-y, does it?
Bow -- The back bow is intended to look like a sash + coattails. The front bow is... something. I pulled the style out of somewhere and I'm not sure what to do with it.
Bodice -- Aside from "it's a turtleneck kind of thing," I'm stuck. I will tell you that the blue lines were intended to be something like suspenders at some point.
Sleeves -- The sleeves were supposed to be kind of like suit sleeves but now I'm not sure that makes sense.
Brooch -- It's supposed to be shaped like a mask with a gold backing. Specifically, it's one of the masks from here. Grabbed just because it was the first thing I thought of. Any alternate styles or suggestions are welcome.
Bottoms -- They're... just pants? Suit pants?
Tiara -- Pretty standard gold-metal tiara, with a center symbol that mimics the brooch.
Choker -- SPFFFFF I forgot this. I don't know if it'd really work with the turtleneck thing though?
Shoes -- Boots. I don't know how to shoes, sorry.
Gloves -- They're red.
Accessories -- I wanted the bracers to flare out a bit like suit cuffs, somehow.

Your MAIN COLOUR should dominate. Your SECOND COLOUR should be used for trimming.

Attacks: These are your senshi's abilities, which will be used in battle. These abilities correspond to your senshi's element. Think of it as a "summary" of what your senshi can do in one word.

Sailor Scout Attack: Cognitive Error!

Thales clutches his head with one hand and calls out the attack name. One target in his field of view will suddenly find their cognitive abilities impaired and they will struggle to process new information. This can make it difficult to assess where their enemy is, or how they should respond in this circumstances, as if they have been overwhelmed with new knowledge. This effect lasts for 30 seconds. This attack can be used 3 times.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Cognitive Distortion!

Thales clutches his head with one hand and calls out the attack name. One target in his field of view will suddenly find their cognitive abilities greatly impaired and they will struggle to process new information. This can make it difficult to assess where their enemy is, or how they should respond in this circumstances, as if they have been overwhelmed with new knowledge. This can be incredibly frustrating and feels like mentally hitting a brick wall. The effect can extend to the inability to process thoughts unrelated to the task at hand. This effect lasts for 35 seconds. This attack can be used 2 times.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Cognitive Entity!

Thales thrusts one hand towards the target and calls the attack name. The target suddenly goes into cognitive overdrive and an overhead voice that sounds like them begins oversharing as much information as possible. This may be current, new information, such as their location or abilities, but it might simply be sharing quirks or various private thoughts. The target will be able to speak normally and ICly has no control over the voice. The broadcast range extends only within reasonable earshot for a medium-loud voice. However, these thoughts are only intended to cause discomfort and possibly embarrassment for the target. The voice is controlled completely by the target's player and never needs to reveal anything that will compromise plots or force a side swap. The voice will continue speaking for 40 seconds before stopping. This attack can only be used once per battle.

Hi, Sami!

Beau looks fine, and the last name is available, so you're all good on the civ side!

However, I do think the times on his first and second attacks--especially considering that his Super attack has the negative thought take up a lot of the target's attention--are quite long, and so I think 30 and 35 seconds are a little more fair as times!

Also, his Eternal attack is fine if it's an illusion only the target can see, but a doppelganger that moves independently and that everyone in the area can see is going to be a little too much. We've drawn the line before at summoning actively moving doppelgangers, and I think that line is probably going to stand! Also, right now it seems to be going in two directions--is it meant to be a distraction or do damage? As it does both right now, it'll have to lean towards one or the other!

Quote me when you've made changes or if you have questions and I'll be back!

Hiya Song!

Fixed up the timing on first and second attacks. However, I have something I want to check on the third attack- if the doppelganger doesn't move or attack, is it okay if others can see/hear it? Alternately, if I change from a "doppelganger" to a "phantom voice" of sorts that others in the area can hear, does that fix any of the issues? I'm trying to make a distraction/discomfort effect that functions differently from the other two attacks. If it's still too much, I might just swap out for a new attack entirely.

Let me know if those are okay and then I'll work accordingly! Thank you!

Hi Sami!

I'm so, so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on this--but as long as the player determines what the projected voice says, so they can control if any information is revealed, a disembodied voice would be okay! A distraction effect is fine in that case, and if you're removing the body/attack, it should be fine!

No worries! I snailed on this too. I revised the effect of the Eternal attack, and I think I included all the proper caveats. If I missed something though, please let me know! Thank you!
