Prompt 1: Destiny City has its fair share of infestations--rats, youma, seasonal monsters...There's no shortage of unpleasantries. But, for the first time in a while, there's a pleasant sort of infestation: along with the winter chill and a steady stream of snow, it seems like a herd of small, fluffy white rabbits have overrun the city. They aren't menacing or evil, they're just everywhere. They seem strangely domesticated; they are sweet, curious, and friendly creatures that will eat anything you give them. They always seem cold to the touch, and when they shake, little snowflakes sprinkle off of them. They can show up just about anywhere, either alone or--often--in pairs. They tend to wander off on their own but they seem to appreciate anything warm and will cuddle up to steal body heat.

Zoey wasn’t normally one to act on impulse, but when life gave you an invasion of adorable, fluffy bunnies, by Crom, you went out to raid the grocers for carrots and bananas to feed them! So far, she’d only managed to see the wee critters from afar, but they’d been prevalent enough to become something of a topic for the water cooler. And everyone that Zoey had listened in on had agreed: the bunnies were snugglebugs who enjoyed treats. Therefore, she’d bring them treats! Taking her bag, she pulled her hood up over her head and decided that the best place to do this would be the park. Out of the way, very little chance of bunnies getting hurt by accident. Perfection.

And it wasn’t a super arduous walk from the store either. Though she’d be glad enough when the snow began to go away. Entering the park, Zoey headed for a bench that she’d often sat on to feed birds during the summer and laughed a little. Apparently she had a thing for feeding animals in the park. Still, as far as habits went, it was pretty benign.

Finding her usual bench covered in snow, she let out a long-suffering sigh an d began to brush the stuff away. Once she could be reasonably certain that her a** was not going to end up cold and soggy, she sat and began pulling food from the grocery bag. The baby carrots were first, followed by the two bananas that hadn’t looked completely horrifying. She peeled those first and began to break them into chunks. And sure enough, within moments, she saw two small white rabbis approaching, noses atwitch. Moving slowly and carefully so as to not frighten them, Zoey bent a bit at the waist and held out a handful of banana.

And to her utter delight, both bunnies came up, black eyes shining and began to delicately nibble. Apparently she’d chosen wisely because the banana vanished pretty fast and both bunnies spent a few moments nuzzling her hand and washing their faces with their fore-paws.

“Ahmigod, how are you so cute,” she muttered, gently scratching one bunny behind the ears. Weird how cold they felt to the touch. But this was Destiny damn City. Cold bunnies weren’t the weirdest thing ever. Both bunnies were now standing against her legs, nosing twitching as they caught scent of the carrots. Accordingly, she tore open the bag and began to offer up baby carrots one at a time.

Before the bag was even finished, both bunnies had somehow made it into her lap and Zoey marveled at how affectionate and sweet they were. Most rabbits were so shy! And they were indeed little snugglebottoms. She alternated between cuddling and feeding them carrots. By the time the carrots were gone, both buns were in her lap, allowing her to tickle their tummies.

“Ooooh, look how chubby you are,” she cooed happily. “Sweet lil chonkers, yes you are…”

An hour later, both bunnies hopped happily off and Zoey was left with a lap full of inexplicable snow.
