[Pyrrha ll 1]
Honestly, she should have been smarter than this.
While it wasn't that uncommon for Pyrrha to take smaller trips into the wilds with her daughters it was odd, even for her, to go to areas she wasn't familiar with. In all honesty she just wanted something different and she'd heard from other elarian that the area had a lot of caves. In her mind it was perfect. A little exploration with little Enya and an afternoon of stories to tell to Pyanka and Kanika when they came home.
What she hadn't expected was to fall down a hole and end up at the base of an underground cave. The fall itself was all a blur to her; when she woke she was laying on her back in a puddle of cold cave water with a throbbing pain in her head and her daughter's cries in her ears. Pyrrha sobered quickly and looked around, half expecting Enya to be down in the hole with her, but soon enough she realized, thankfully, that the girl was crying from above.
"Enya!" The act of raising her voice caused Pyrrha to wince and clutch her head. "Sweetheart, do you remember the way we came? I need you to go get help."

[Enya ll 1]
One moment the day was the best it could possibly be, and the next her mama disappeared! At first Enya didn't know what to think, but when the ground shifted by her feet she was able to stumble away from the quickly gaping hole. Her mother, however, was not.
"Momma!" The elidae shrieked. She heard the 'thud' and that only scared her more. bravely, or perhaps stupidly, given the fragility of the ground around her, Enya crept closer to the hole. When she saw Pyrrha laying at the bottom of the cave she cried out again and again, her cries gaining more of a panicked edge when she didn't respond. She needed to get mama Kanika! But-but if she left mama Pyrrha....
Scared to leave her behind she stayed put for what felt like hours until Pyrrha started to move. "I member, mama! But I...." She couldn't just leave her! The two shared a bit of a back and forth before Enya finally gathered her courage to leave. Of course she was a sobbing, frightened mess as she tried to pick her way back to the village. The entire time she was absolutely screaming for help, hoping that someone could make it all go away.

Shikoba had been expecting a rather peaceful day. The Elaria had spent the whole morning scavenging through the forests, gathering whatever interesting tidbits she could find, and was planning on returning home to maybe weave some baskets in preparation for traveling. She had a lot to pack and a lot of plans to make, especially considering she wasn't exactly certain what the world outside of the island was like at this point. She had been here for years now and leaving seemed....strange. A soft sigh left her lips as she fiddled with some of the thick, silvery vines that she had gathered from some of the trees around the edges of the coast. It would be interesting to see what she could twist them into once she figured out a design. Such thoughts, however, were immediately interrupted once a flurry of movement caught her attention and Shikoba found herself facing a very emotional child. "Are...are you alright?" She asked as she immediately moved to check on the little elidae.

Enya ll 2
Oh, oh, help! As soon as Enya had spotted the elarian she'd made a straight shot for her regardless of who the woman actually was. She could have been an enemy for all the child knew, but she didn't care at all! The little elidae's face was puckered and swollen with so many tears that it made talking difficult.
When she could finally speak Enya kept pointing back the way she came and eventually came out with, "Momma fell...she's down real far and I don't....you need to help her! She's gonna die!" Of course her mother wasn't injured to that degree, but the entire ordeal had the child scared to the point where she was thinking of the worst.

Pyrrha ll 2
With Enya now gone Pyrrha was left to assess her situation. Her head was pounding, but thankfully it wasn't bleeding. Or was that a bad thing? I should have paid attention to those healing classes... Sitting up was a little more difficult. Her entire body ached to the point that the elarian knew she was likely to bruise from head to toe, but that wasn't the worst part of it. Her leg from the knee down was turned at an odd angle and that...that wasn't good.
Something about the shock of the event had been keeping her pain at bay, but now...now it was all starting to sink in. It was clearly broken, but manageable if she could just get out of here. Putting her fate in the hands of her overly excitable daughter didn't give her a lot of hope, however.

"Breathe, little one." Shikoba's voice was surprisingly calm as her gaze followed the frantic pointing. If the Elidae's mother was in true danger then there wouldn't be enough time to go back to the village to ask for help from other Sisters....Shikoba's mouth pressed into a tight line at the thought before she looked back towards the Elidae. "I won't let your Mother die." She promised as she wiped a few tears away from the youngling's face. It seemed that the best option was to follow the youngling to her mother and decide what needed to happen from there. If she had fallen then perhps Shikoba would have to help her out before tending to any serious injuries. Thankful that she had already been gathering vines, Shikoba grabbed as many as she could hold in her arms and abandoned her baskets to the side of the trail so that the little one could lead the way towards her mother.
"Let's go." She stood swiftly and motioned for the Elidae to lead the way.

Enya ll 3
The little elidae tried to do as she was told, really she did, but it was all just so overwhelming! Every time she would try to steady her breathing Enya's little lip would quiver and a few more tears would slip out. Was her mama really going to be okay? This lady looked really strong, but how was she going to get her out of the big hole?
Having the comforting touch on her cheeks was helpful in calming Enya. "O-o-kay." Enya sniffled, reaching up to rub snot away with a little fist before turning back the way she'd come. Her pace was fast, but broken by regular intervals of looking over her shoulder, just to make sure the lady was there.
Thankfully the underground cavern wasn't too far. The closer she came, the more familiar it all was, and the louder Enya became. She called out to her mother, hoping to hear some kind of a response in return, "I got help! I got help, mama!" Eventually Enya dropped down to her knees near the 'secret' hold and looked down into the cavern, happy to see her mama was still there waiting.

Pyrrha ll 3
Even if she hadn't been specifically listening for Enya it would have been hard to ignore the little one's calls. Pyrrha settled back on her rump, her broken leg stretched out in front of her and a chill settling in. Despite the headache that made it hard to look up into the sun the water she was sitting in was pretty cold due to the stone encasing her on all sides. She wasn't sure how long she'd been down here, not too long if she judged her daughter's reaction, but how much longer could she wait before something happened?
"Stay away from the edge, Enya! It could give way!" The last thing she wanted was for her baby to fall in here with her. Even if it did bring a smile to her face to see the little elidae she also felt a spike of fear. What if her injuries weren't nearly so healable?

Shikoba felt her heart clench at the sight of the little one. It truly must be a terrifying experience to have your mother in trouble like this....well for those who had affection for their mother that was. The Elaria's mouth pressed into a tight line as they came upon the hole and she found herself reaching out just in case the little one took an accidental tumble. "Enya..." She heard the name faintly from below and called out to the Elidae. "Come back here and I'll go along the ledge to look around." Her green gaze flickered across the area and Shikoba found a sturdy looking tree that she quickly tied some of the vine around. Once she knotted it the Elaria gave a firm tug and then proceeded towards the ledge. "Are you okay?" She called down towards the hole, her antenna flicking as she tried to get a better grasp of the situation. "Did anything break?" She could easily skirt down with the help of the vines but what if the whole cavern was unstable? If it collapsed then the little Elidae and her mother would be out of luck along with Shikoba! Still, Shikoba was not about to leave a Sister behind and was trying her best to plan out the rescue. Should she make a lift or would the other Elaria be able to climb out with a rope?

Enya ll 4
The little one went over to the elarian obediently but her eyes kept drifting to the open pit. It was almost as if just because her mother was out of sight that she was somehow in more danger and that just caused the child to gnaw on her lower lip.
She stayed a safe distance away, and kept her hands in front of her, wringing the little digits out on one another. "Is it bad? Can you help her?"

Pyrrha ll 4
Pyrrha couldn't help the spike of joy that cropped up when she heard another voice. She didn't want to get her hopes up for a speedy rescue and yet..."My leg broke and I hit my head when I landed! It's sore, but I don't think the damage is too bad." Nothing that she wouldn't recover from in time, anyway, but getting out of here would only be made trickier.
"Please be careful!!" How many sisters had her daughter managed to find? If it was just one...Would she be able to get Pyrrha out of here on her own? Maybe it would be safer if she just took Enya back to the village and came back with others.

Shikoba let out a soft sigh. It would be smart to get other Sisters but what if they couldn't find someone right away and something happened while they were gone? Her gaze narrowed in frustration at the thought. Perhaps it was her mother speaking but there was the haunting pressure from the warrior who had taught her to always take care of things on her own. It was weak to rely on others...Shikoba pursed her lips thoughtfully before taking the vines into her own hands. "I'm going to tie this tightly against that tree and I'll need you to keep an eye on the vine, okay?" She asked the youngling before going straight to work so that she could start the process of slowly lowering herself towards the other Elaria.
"Let me check on your leg. I can try to make a brace for you and climb us back up if the drop isn't too horrible." Shikoba spoke loudly so that her voice would carry and she made certain to try to keep any nervous shaking from her words. There was some dry bark nearby that she could easily pick up and then the forest provided plenty of vines so that she could tie a brace...I just need to get down there first without breaking my own leg. Now if that happened then they truly would be in some predicament, wouldn't they?

Enya ll 5
"Okay." As young as she was Enya knew when it was time to listen. She wanted to run and hide somewhere until the scary times were over, but right now her mama was counting on her! All she had to do was watch the vine and make sure everything was fine; surely she could do that?
Feeling a twitch in her arms, little Enya moved forward and gripped the vine, willing her strength into the hold. If she believed in it enough then surely she could keep this lady up and Pyrrha would make it out okay!

Pyrrha ll 5
"If you go straight down you should be okay. If you start going to far to the sides, though, there are crystals and you'll get caught." At least, she assumed they were crystals. With the limited light casting strange shadows Pyrrha couldn't be sure of anything. All she knew for certain was that there were obstacles in the way that would surely snag a vine if it came too close.
Her voice had started out loud and strong, but even Pyrrha could hear the shake in it now. She was growing colder and the adrenaline was starting to fade leaving her with a lingering pain that only grew over time.

Shikoba took one last glance towards the Elidae. "I'm going down now so just listen carefully. The vines should be fine and I may need you to gather some things for me like pieces of bark and some sturdy twigs, okay?" Shikoba smiled encouragingly at the little one before starting her way down towards the hole. Her mouth pursed at the mention of crystals but it was more in interest than worry.
"I'm coming down now." She called out before following the other Elarian's advice and going straight rather than along the far edges. Eventually she connected with the cavern floor, with thankfully only a few scattered moments of danger on the way down, and after calming her own racing heart Shikoba glanced towards the injured Sister. "I'm here now. May I I come closer and look at your leg?" She was cautious so that she didn't accidentally cause the other elarian to move or get further injured by her approach.
