Prompt 10: Poinsettias are common during the winter seasons, so it isn't unusual to see them decorating windowsills and local establishments. What is unusual are the unique Winter Star Poinsettias that seem to have accidentally mixed into the bunch. They look like ordinary Poinsettias reflecting a bit of glow from nearby lights--only, the leaves themselves are emitting a soft, silvery glow. They look like they are covered with a fine morning dew, only with fine silver glitter peppered in to give it a unique sparkle. They seem to have gone unnoticed by most of Destiny City and the landscapers, and it's not clear how these plants were selected, but anyone with a keen eye might recognize them as the catastrophe of Destiny City Botanical Garden's 2016 Winter Extravaganza. Thankfully, these variants are far less dangerous than their counterparts, however, these plants have a strange pollen that acts like an allergen and can cause agitation, oversensitivity, and sneezing to anything with much of a strong smell. Anyone who comes into contact with these plants may also find themselves suffering from flu-like symptoms such as fever, coughing, fatigue, and nausea and no medicine will relieve it, but the symptoms gradually fade. The leaves of the poinsettia are sharp and can sting like a papercut, so be careful! ...If you're worried about an all-out attack again, it might be a good idea to destroy these poinsettias--if you can manage to do so without getting caught.
Sadachbia kept up her duties even on the holidays. In fact, the holidays were the best time, as there was no coursework or much else to get in the way. She figured that Negaverse officers probably had the same idea, and probably wanted to get the drop on wandering holiday goers.
While wandering around, she'd encountered these very shiny poinsettias. She hadn't known about their history, but she'd learned that they were bad news, causing sneezing fits and teeny cuts if you handled them wrong. Most people might have ignored, dodged, or destroyed the flowers, but she had an idea. Handling one carefully, she snuck up on the nearest Negaverse aura she could find and tried to throw a leaf at whoever was on the other side. If she'd discovered a magical plant throwing star, she was going to get excited.

Lavendulan was still getting adjusted to her recent promotion; her new standard speed was almost equivalent to when she would use her Aqua Shift. Then again she already knew that would be the case because when she was in her water form she could easily keep up with both Lopezite and Wolframite, at least while they were both captains. Lopezite had recently been promoted to General and now she wondered if she could still keep pace with him if they had a race.
The small change in her magical abilities was definitely a perk, however, what she valued more than the ability to heal her own injuries or run quickly was the newfound freedom she had so desperately been craving. Like how a wayward wanderer lost in the sea of sands out in a scorching desert searched for the small oasis that contained just a drop of water, she too desired freedom from the isolation of the Dark Kingdom. Now that she could teleport to just about anywhere, Lavendulan wanted to be anywhere but home or the office space she had been using to work on the glamour rings.
Drawing in a deep breath, the half-youma actually enjoyed the cold biting air as it entered her lungs, it was so much more refreshing than the stale air she was used to. There were no night or day, or weather changes, in the Dark Kingdom. The Rift had its storms but she rarely went there alone while a Lieutenant. Days had bled into weeks and before she knew it almost two years had passed, still pretty much more-or-less friendless as she was when she was awakened but at this point, she didn't care anymore. No longer did she need to rely on anyone to taxi her to Destiny City so she could go to the grocery store for food or to pick up something for the house.
She had just finished running errands and stowed the small objects in her subspace pocket for easy transport when she felt an order signature approaching. Lavendulan groaned and waited for their approach. Normally she would have just fled but her youma nature almost begged for a good spar.
Welp. Sadachbia had missed. The groan was indicative enough that she'd been spotted by the Captain on the other side. It was a peculiar reaction, though, kind of "not this crap again" instead of indicating any real aggression just yet. Well, the Captain was about to get a lot more of this crap if she stuck around.
Sadachbia approached Lavendulan, maybe a bit too casually, with some more collected leaves in hand. She pulled one out, pretended to inspect it, and then pitched it right at the half-youma Captain with a provocative "Catch!"
She hadn't quite taken in who or what she was dealing with, however. Sure, the fact that the Captain's skin was bluish was slowly starting to register, but the rest would sink in soon enough.

Lavendulan dodged to the side effortlessly. As a Lieutenant, it would have probably hit her but she was faster now and quicker to react. "I think not," she replied coldly.
Her gaze lingered on the object for a fraction of a moment and she realized that it was not of magical make, not a spell that the Senshi had cast, nor did it seem to be like the weapons Agents or Knights often used. Otherwise, it would have disappeared from where it impaled a mound of snow and reappeared in the girl's hand.
The corner of her lips pulled into a slow smile, "your turn." Her lips moved as she whispered something beneath her breath and in that same moment, her form shifted. Her hand moved to the side where a medicine ball-sized sphere formed and she dashed towards the Senshi at a speed equivalent to a General. The orb hovered beside her until she was close enough to move it in a wide arch aimed at the Senshi's side.
Magical: Aqua Shift While still retaining her actual form Lavendulan's entire body transforms into water.
When in this form she is one with her element; physical attacks pass through her unaffected like putting your hand into a flowing stream her body morphs around it. Her movement speed is increased, like a river upstream weaving through rapids, but not to exceed the next highest stage allowing her to change location quickly. While metamorphosis is active Lavendulan can bend water around her in a 7' radius. It takes one of two shapes; a sphere similar to size and weigh of a medicine ball or a thin whip. Both are used more defensively like a harsh shove to push someone over or a snapping sensation. At most there might be a bruise in the morning unless the character she's attacking lands on something unfortunate.
Additionally, since becoming Captian, Lavendulan is able to pull water into her own form to mend up to moderate injuries sustained before initiating the Aqua Shift.
Duration: 20 seconds Usage: 3 Note: Certain magic attacks still work but will need to be discussed before a battle. At general stage the movement increase while in water form will not match that of a General King or Queen.
Well, if Sadachbia didn’t think she was in for it before, she certainly thought so now. The Captain seemed to undergo some kind of transformation, and she wasn’t sure why she was surprised by her essentially turning into water when she was quite fishy herself. Maybe being more than a bit cocky, she took the fact that it was her turn to mean that she could catch the Captain’s water ball. Bracing herself and turning to catch it, the attempt was an utter flop, as the ball just knocked her right over with an ungainly squawk. She struggled to pull herself up just a bit so she wasn't totally prone, but she was definitely vulnerable.

Lavendulan came to a stop only a few feet away and turned to face the fallen senshi. An almost predatory smile tugged the corner of her lips.
"Again?" she asked coyly as her head canted to the side curiously. Without waiting for a response she swung an arm out towards the young woman and the ball that had returned to her open palm was soon sent flying towards the senshi once more.
However, before it hit anything, it paused and just floated in the air near enough to feel the chill from the cold waters, yet not even a droplet fell from the hovering orb. "Who are you?" Laven's voice was firm if not commanding as she patiently waited for a reply.
Sadachbia reflexively winced when the water ball came zooming towards her, but when the impact never came, she opened her eyes. What a tease. The Captain had the ball hovering in front of her, close enough to feel it, maybe even to smell it (an abstract watery scent, sure). If she thought about it too hard, she would end up trying to determine what exactly water smelled like.
Still, she saw no reason to deny the Captain's request for her identity. "Super Sailor Sadachbia. And you're Captain...? Captain what?" The quip of Captain 'Water-u-doin" stuck on her tongue, but for once, she held back. A water ball to the side was bad enough; a water ball to the face would hurt, especially if it was sent zooming from where it was right now.

"I don't owe you any answers, Sadachbia," Lavendulan spoke the Senshi's name aloud as a means to commit it to memory so she could report on the incident after she got home "You attacked first" she replied coldly and clearly annoyed.
"You're like our corrupts, magic users," as she was. "I've never known a Senshi to wield a weapon before. What are those things you threw at me?" Clearly, they were not attached to her otherwise they would have been summoned back to her hand to throw at her again much like Lopezite's sword when they spared.
The Captain had used her name. Interesting. With an awkward smile and a cheeky shrug, Sadachbia quipped, "That's all right, I doubt I'll need your name to track you down again anyway." The jab was, of course, a reference to the obvious half youma bits. "And I hope you realize that magic use is all I might have in common with your corrupts." That statement was probably garbage for a few reasons, but that was beside the point.
The inquiry about the leaves was fair enough, so Sadachbia gave the Captain her answer. "There's these weird flowers growing around town. I think they're called poinsettias? But they're not like normal flowers. The leaves are sharp and they just don't look normal. I heard a rumor that the flowers can make you sick if you get too close to them, but I didn't check into that." Hopefully that report would satisfy her for now.

"Well," Lavendulan gave a mocking bow. "I can't say I hope the rumors are false." A wicked smile tugged the corner of her lips, imagining the poor Senshi becoming gravely ill. Far be it from her to wish the young woman well when she was the one to instigate the fight.
"I can only hope that this will be our last time meeting," She did not like having objects thrown at her. Ones that could make her sick or otherwise, like she was some freak show. Different, yes, but not without morals or reason if approached without agression.
"To that, I say farewell, Sadachbia." The Captian rose and after a small wave of her claw-tipped hand, she teleported away to someplace warmer and inviting than the streets of Destiny City.

Fin for me - I just want to point out that Laven didn't offer her name. For now, all Sadachbia only has her description.
