          This Thread contains information on Playable Races, NPCs, Factions and Enemies you'll come across in our Roleplays
                    • You can make your Character any one of the Playable Races (Humans, Spirits, and later Daemons).
                    • NPCs, Factions and Enemies cover the entities you'll be able to interact with.

          Humans - Playable Race

               Humans have the biggest population of any Race, and are in control of the most population centres (villages, towns, etc) on Gaea. Their strength lies in their
               numbers, their resources, and their connections to larger forces and armies. Humans have a good advantage in wealth and trade over other Races, however they
               cannot use Magic, and Artifacts typically do not work on them. Human combatants make use of high-quality Weapons, Armor and Gear, and employ intelligent
               strategies in battle, learned from their time in higher education.

          Spirits - Playable Race

               Spirits are a human-like people, roughly 30-40% of which show specific traits like Animal Ears, Tails, or Markings on their skin (no Spirit has fur covering more
               than a small portion of their body, however). The remaining 60-70% look just like Humans. All Spirits are able to use some small amounts of Magic (which later
               can become quite advanced), in order to improve their daily lives or give them an edge in battle. At first, most Spirits can only create a small gust of wind, or
               break a lock, or spark a small flame. Rarely, a Spirit will show talent in Healing Magic, able to heal the wounds of others, though any attempt by those who are
               unskilled is dangerous both to the healer and their target. Spirits do not tend to form large communities like Humans do, though they are known to form tight-knit
               loyal families or small estates. Talented Spirits have unlocked further potential in Magic, and are skilled combatants even without it. Many have become proficient
               in the use of Swords, Daggers, Spears, Bows, and the like.

               Story Roleplays will of course have their assortment of important NPCs that are valuable to the plot. They can be of any race, and their plans and intentions can
               vary.

               NPCs revealed so far:
                    Leth. Adult Male Spirit. Considered Neutral. Affiliated with the Eikomi Spirit Family, but not part of it. Part of ???????.
                    Koikku. Young Adult Female Spirit. Considered Neutral. Part of the Eikomi Spirit Family. Part of ???????.



          Factions

               Factions in Story Roleplays, like Human Villages, Towns, Cities or Kingdoms, or Spirit Families may exist. They can assist participants in their journey, or stand
               in the way, though most are not inherently evil.

               Factions revealed so far:

          Great Spirits

               In decades past, powerful Spirits whose exploits changed the world earned the title "Great Spirit". Their mastery over magic was unmatched, and their
               accomplishments earned them the respect and fervor of much of their kind. At one point, their status began to pass into myths and legends, blurring the real
               details behind their identities and their abilities. At the start of Realm of Spirits' major Story Roleplays, it has been thirty years since the last of the Great Spirits
               suddenly disappeared, though participants will find that not all of them are gone...

                    None yet...



          Feral Beasts

               Gaea (the world the story is set in) has long been plagued with the occasional Feral Beast -- an enraged, or territorial, or migratory animal that is larger and
               stronger than normal. For example, a Giant Boar that rampages through a forest. There are times where several Feral Beasts will be found together, or rarely, a
               horde of them. Feral Beasts are considered to be barely intelligent, highly aggressive and destructive, though nobody knows what causes them to grow to such a
               size, or to become Feral. The meat from a Feral Beast is considered especially valuable, however, and makes for good eating.
                    Note: There are of course, regular-sized beasts too, though they the typical, everyday beasts you'd be able to find in real life.
                    Note: Feral Beasts are typically placid while alone. They quickly become enraged when approached by another living thing, however.

               Feral Beasts revealed so far:
                    None yet...



          Possessed Beasts

               Ancient and powerful monsters that look like enormous animals, though they have the ability to use powerful and destructive magic. The world has only whispers
               that they once existed, and only a select few know where to find them. The last known locations were ruins from a civilisation that is no longer around, and these
               locations are home to ancient Altars that hold many secrets.
                    Note: Possessed Beasts are very much the Boss Monsters of Realm of Spirits. Expect them to make strong appearances in major Story Roleplays.

               Possessed Beasts revealed so far:
                    Echo Mouth. Considered territorial and aggressive.
