Prompt 8: It's important to take care of yourself in the winter months, especially with the dry, cold air Destiny City has been seeing. A warm bubble bath might be just what you need to stay warm and treat yourself; a local shop has a Seasonal Special--'Marshmallow Dreams' and they seem to be highly recommended and have become a hot item in Destiny City. Somehow, you've acquired one of these bath bombs, and it smells divine. Everything is going well; the bath bomb seems to be dissolving normally--and then all of a sudden, fluffy, plush bubbles seem to emerge and grow, and get denser--and all of a sudden, you are sitting in a bathtub full of what feels like warm marshmallows. It feels a bit heavy, like a weighted blanket, but it's warm and smooth and nice. Except, it's also a little restricting and is incredibly hard to move in. You wind up trapped in a tub full of smooth marshmallow fluff for nearly half an hour before it begins to completely dissolve and pop like bubbles--leaving your skin feeling magnificently smooth and fragrant. It's the perfect way to trap someone in the bath for half an hour, though arguably it's far less relaxing if you don't know what's going to happen before getting in.

He wasn't really a 'bath' kind of guy.

Spending time in the bathroom of any variety wasn't exactly what Ellian considered 'fun,' so he minimized it at every opportunity: quick showers to scrub off while he desperately tried not to disturb his pretty dye job too much. And that was basically it. He wasn't really looking for an excuse to relax, and if he wanted to piddle around in the water, that was what swim team was for. He didn't need lengthy sessions in the bath.

But when everyone was doing something, Ellian couldn't help but be intrigued. He didn't want to be left out of whatever trend happened to be fadding at any given time, so when his friends mentioned finding a cute pop up store that sold divine-smelling bath bombs and incenses, he wanted to be a part of that.

It felt like something that mostly girls would be interested in, but it wasn't. A lot of his guy friends were into it too.

Ellian couldn't just ignore it. So he bought one. Just one, for the experience, so he wouldn't feel left out when all his friends chattered about how smooth and delightful their skin felt afterward. Ellian did like soft skin... He did enjoy looking like he was worth showing off. Pretty hair, nice body, delicately sculpted musculature. He could add smooth skin to that.

He piled his hair high on top of his head, pinning it with a clip so that it was far away from the water as he settled into the bath.

He couldn’t help but run his fingers against the tucked ends of his vibrant rainbow strands. Once winter break was over, he’d have to shave it all off, like he did every year with the rest of the boys on swim team. He wasn’t crazy about it, but he didn’t exactly mind, either. That was just the type of camaraderie that built up team spirit. And having everything sleek was good for their speed.

So it was fine.

Not ideal, but fine.

As his mind wandered, he barely realized that the water had started to feel denser. He was warm, and it smelled nice. He could still play on his phone while the bubbles manifested around him- Except they stopped feeling like bubbles, at some point. They’d started to feel thick and heavy, and they clung to him a bit as he moved.

It wasn’t uncomfortable, but no one had mentioned anything about being stuck in the bath. Should he do something? It would be hella embarrassing if he had to call his parents to help him out of the water, so... no. No, no, if he was trapped for too long, they would come find him, anyway. His best bet was to keep quiet and just... wait- But God, he hated waiting. Just be calm. Chill out.

Diesel could probably explode these bubbles into nothing. If the situation got too dire-

Ugh, no, he obviously wasn't going to do that, either.

Just calm down, it's fine. It wasn't like cement, or anything. He could still move, he could still breathe. It was just too heavy to get out of. Calm down, be patient. Watch a YouTube video, or something. Wait until someone noticed that he'd been in the bath a while. Take deep breaths. It's okay. It's okay.

But why hadn't anyone said this would happen-

No, no, no. He was being calm now. He didn't need to be bothered by whatever anyone else was experiencing. He was being calm. Everything still felt fine and smelled fine, and he had his phone to play with. Just. Patience.

Exhaling a stiff breath, Ellian settled his weight against the back of the tub. He distracted himself by watching glitter-bomb-mail-stealing videos and clips from Impractical Jokers. Watching other people by humiliated and inconvenienced was a good way to feel less perturbed by his own situation. And, by the middle of his third video, the weight of the weird bubbles was starting to lessen. The water had cooled very slightly, and the marshmallow fragrance was starting to dissipate. He could move again, and he clambered from the water a bit more hastily than he'd intended, just to note that his dark skin was at least especially smooth tonight.

But that didn't really eliminate the half an hour he'd spent wondering if someone would have to come drag him out of the tub. Situations like this were why he wasn't a bath kind of guy.
