Prompt 2: The downside to an army of little bunnies is that they burrow. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains.

When Diesel went out on his own, it always left him feeling like he was missing something. In his civilian life he preferred to do the most engaging activities alongside people he liked, and even boring things weren't so bad as long as he was sharing them with someone. He appreciated being around others, and being a magical senshi felt like something he should obviously be partaking in with his close friends.

Except no one was supposed to know, because if the wrong people found out that could endanger himself, his friends, and his family (Diesel wasn't entirely sure who the 'wrong people' were or what type of danger exactly they posed, but Nataniel seemed to think death was involved).

So he just had to put up with being alone in this.

Patrolling with Rakovanite was fine (though far from 'fun:' it was nothing like how Diesel would do it with friends, he was sure), and he'd met a scattering of other agents, and even a couple knights since he'd been corrupted. But the only other senshi he knew was Narcissus, and they hadn't met again after they made it home from the Halloween village... As much as Diesel liked meeting other agents and knights and whoever else, he couldn't shake the feeling that he'd prefer to go out with other senshi.

It would be better if there were someone like him, who he could practice magic with and who maybe couldn't necessarily be bothered to keep up with all the Negaverse's... restrictions. It should just be fun to be a magical boy. Why did it have to be more complicated than that?

"Okay, okay. Watch this." Four pairs of icy blue eyes looked up at him inquisitively. A nose twitched. A foot thumped.

Look, rabbits weren't Diesel's preferred choice of friend, but given the extent of their infestation of the city, they were sort of just the most reliable option at this point. A handful of snowy bunnies weren't the 'wrong people' he needed to look out for, and having them around was still better than being alone. Just not by much. They weren't typically as impressed by his antics as Diesel always hoped another person would be.

He slung his arms out behind him, finishing with a snap that sent a pulse of magic radiating with heat like an explosion that had just gone off. The force of it sent Diesel skidding down the icy sidewalk in a rainbow blur, weaving sharply around frozen cracks and snowdrifts as if he was skating.

Admittedly, the rabbits weren't thrilled by the resulting 'bang!' of sound, and they went scrambling off in the opposite direction.

Diesel whipped around and slid backwards just in time to see the last tail bounce off behind the bushes. "Oh, come on!" He complained. "I wasn't trying to scare you! I just wanted to like, do something fun with these stupid powers!" What was the point in having them if all they meant were more work and less friends. More burdens, less free time. More worries, more restrictions-

The edge of the sidewalk caught his boot, bringing his fast-paced gliding to an abrupt halt as he was wrenched backward by the force of his movement. With a startled yelp, Diesel plummeted backwards, down and down, and- Freaking down. It was a longer drop than he expected, and his stomach lurched up into his throat as he finally hit the ground.

It didn't hurt. A pile of chilly snow cushioned the fall, and it was, admittedly, no more than two extra feet from where the he expected the ground should have been.

But there was also a hoard of rabbits, all ogling at him as if he'd crushed their hopes and dreams.

It was probably just their shelter though. "Oh, goddamnit- Ah!" One jumped on his lap. Another draped over his leg. They bundled up on every side of him, and for a fleeting moment, he thought they were about to exact some terrible revenge- But they were just rabbits. They did no such thing, and besides being startled, Diesel was no worse for wear from the tumble. He still felt a little guilty for the wreckage, but the little furry bodies provided their own variety of comfort.

He wasn't completely alone, no matter how it felt like it, sometimes.
