Prompt 1: Destiny City has its fair share of infestations--rats, youma, seasonal monsters...There's no shortage of unpleasantries. But, for the first time in a while, there's a pleasant sort of infestation: along with the winter chill and a steady stream of snow, it seems like a herd of small, fluffy white rabbits have overrun the city. They aren't menacing or evil, they're just everywhere. They seem strangely domesticated; they are sweet, curious, and friendly creatures that will eat anything you give them. They always seem cold to the touch, and when they shake, little snowflakes sprinkle off of them. They can show up just about anywhere, either alone or--often--in pairs. They tend to wander off on their own but they seem to appreciate anything warm and will cuddle up to steal body heat.

He hadn't thought much of it when he had first seen the first set of furballs. Given he had been in one of the parks it was perfectly normal to see some semblance of wildlife, but things had taken a turn for the odd as he jogged through the streets towards the next part of his circuit and he had caught sight of more of them. Then there had been another set, and another, and another. He had eventually slowed, moving at a slow walk as he began to pay attention to what was round him and the very face that on this occasion he was completely and utterly surrounded by rabbits.

He knew better than to assume they were ordinary rabbits now... Anytime something peculiar happened within this city it was a given that some sort of magic was at work. Not that they were doing anything particularly nefarious at this stage. In fact, for want of a better word they seemed to be doing what any ordinary animal would do. Some had taken to eating the foliage around them, an activity that would likely annoy local groundkeepers or even budding gardeners as their projects were ruined but for the most part they didn't seem to be doing anything questionable.

This was how Athalia, or rather Regula, had come to staredown a pair of these pristine white creatures at five in the morning. Having come to a full halt on the path, blocked by the two petite and otherwise inoffensive creatures, they were now gazing up at him expectantly while he peered down at them in thought. Every now and then they seemed to exchange glances, there'd be a few traditional nose twitches, another twitch of the years and all the while the only response that they would receive from him was a raised eyebrow.

You see Regula was weighing up his options.

His instincts told him that they genuinely seemed to be harmless and yet past experience made it abundantly clear that it was highly unlikely this was the case. At this point in time he was at least attempting to ascertain if he could trust those instincts anymore, or if he should err on the side of caution. Consequently what should have been an easy issue to resolve had become significantly more complex than it needed to be. Logic would state that he stepped over them or around them and continued on his way, but a part of him remained concerned at what could happen and what had happened the last time the magic of Destiny City had toyed with him.

In the end his issue was to be resolved by the rabbits themselves.

With a final twitch of their nose and no interaction forthcoming from him, both of the bunnies had taken their leave. They had quietly padded away, petite hops drawing them elsewhere with the faintest glimmer of powered snow and the path was clear once more. They had left the man to his own thoughts, not necessarily paralysed by his own uncertainy but definitely stalled by it. Food for thought at a later date, but with the distraction now gone the cold quickly began to bite at Regula's heels and he came to his senses properly.

He could dwell on this later from the comfort of his own home after he had finished his circuit, for now though, he would at least make a mental note to run around the little things. They hadn't done anything and it stood to reason that they wouldn't.

He'd address his own hesitance and apprehension at home when he was warm and comfortable.
