Chambersite hadn't realized just how much he had missed his apartment and a good nights sleep and just being able to enjoy being outside and staying up at night without the huge stress of a monster trying to attack you and drag you somewhere to do who knows what. Adding in hallucinogenic fog and Chambersite had found himself more often when he knew it would be foggy out. Just in case... It had taken a while and he was embarrassed at how much the fog monster events had affected him, to the point that he hadn't gone out in a few weeks. That changed tonight though as the weather was growing colder which meant fewer chances at gathering energy due to less people being outside. Unless there was some sort of event that was going on. Then he could easily do it but week to week it would be harder to find it as the weather got worse. Still, he had managed to find a couple whom he could take a week's energy worth off of them, which would set him up until the next week... until he felt the pinprick aura of another Captain nearby and let out a sigh. He hoped that he wouldn't have to fight to take energy tonight. He really did not need that tonight. And after he had knocked out the couple all by himself. It wasn't until he saw a pink hair and what looked to be a Captain with a bounce in her step that he managed to raise an eyebrow at the sight, wondering if he should be worried. Still, he knew who it was and gave a nod to the head as she approached. "Sylvite." They were both Captains, he didn't see the need to address either by titles. "Looking for energy tonight?"

Sylvite wasn't in a great mood. There had been one of those weird, explainable, probably-a-dark-fairy monsters around, and this time it had come with its own little world that was probably a parallel universe. There had even been weird time magic, and Sylvite? Sylvite hadn't seen any of it. She'd squeezed every detail she could of Cybele, but it wasn't the same as getting to go to a weird fairy world. Plus, Cybele had gotten captured right away. Sylvite would have been way smarter about it. Anyway, since then, she'd been patrolling a lot. It was half to help help cover the quotas of the officers that had been injured during the whole thing, and half to watch for the next cool magical thing that happened. So far, everything was disappointingly normal. All she had to show for her hard work was a bigger quota to fill, since she was still covering Cybele's. That part was fine until there was another Captain in her draining zone. It wasn't even someone she knew, just someone she'd seen in passing during meetings. "Chambersite? Hi," she said. Her voice was considerably less chipper than usual, and she gave him a once over as if he was one of the Order senshi she was investigating. "I sure am looking for energy here tonight." People actually came outside in this part of town. She wasn't leaving.

He raised an eyebrow and felt the corner of his lips turn up. "Unusual. You're usually more... upbeat than this. Something come up?" He wasn't sure what it could have been. He hadn't ever talked to her but he had sure heard her voice. Whether it was when they were having to fight together or in the hallways of the castle, no one could really mistake it. "I'm not here usually. Just thought I would wander around a bit after that whole... fog monster thing." He had updated the database with what had happened to him in it, but he still felt confused by it all. "I didn't see you there so I assume you didn't get caught up in all of it. Consider yourself lucky. You don't know what you're missing until you realize that you no longer have indoor plumbing." He had absolutely refused to eat anything that had been inside of the houses until they had been thoroughly cooked to kill off any bacteria that may have gotten on them. "I was just going to drain this couple and call it a night."

Sylvite just blinked. This was just like being told to smile. Someone telling her that she was usually more upbeat didn't exactly make her want to start hopping around. "Okay, you don't have to rub it in," she said, now definitely huffing. "I've been researching these unexplainable fairies and monsters and, uh, stuff for years now. I had theories and notes and everything. I was pretty sure that they were from another world or dimension that was only accessible at certain times of year." As usual, she was talking so fast that her words ran together, but this time it was more out of frustration than excitement. "I totally called it! I knew! And guess who didn't get to see the other world? The place that could have been a huge clue to all this stuff that keeps happening?" She pointed to herself with both thumbs and gave a giant sigh. She rolled her eyes at the mention of not having plumbing, barely managing to keep herself from blurting out something about how she'd been through way worse than that. She did follow his gaze to the couple, though. "Anyway, I'm trying to make the best of it, cover the quotas from people who got hurt, y'know. And I think you should let me have those two." She glanced back to him, the corner of her mouth creeping up just a little bit. "Also I was here first."

Chambersite felt his eyes rolling as he looked away as the other complained about not being trapped in the same... world or whatever it was with the fog monster. As if she would have had any time to research it. He sighed. "You wouldn't have been able to conduct any research. There was not much time to do other than biding our time and surviving. Add to the fact that the trees only let us go so far, we couldn't really explore either." It wasn't until the end when one of the trees in the forest had fallen, revealing the cellar that everyone had been taken to that they were allowed to go past the artificial magical tree limit wall that had been endless until that point. He raised an eyebrow at her when she mentioned taking the couple. "Interesting. I need to fulfill my quota as well since I was one of the ones who were trapped." He looked at her and grinned. "I can take one and you can take the other. As much as fighting over the two would be fun, I think it would be a waste of time and our own energy to do so."

"Okay, okay," said Sylvite with a wave of her hand, not sounding totally convinced that what she'd missed out on hadn't been awesome. "I get that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but I still feel like there was, like, information there that would've brought a lot of things together, information that you guys weren't even looking for." And it wasn't that hard to survive and to research or to do little projects at the same time. They were kinda doing that all the time, with the senshi and knights always crawling around the city trying to murder them. He did have a point when he said that squabbling wasn’t gonna help anything, though. She gave the tiniest sigh when he suggested splitting the energy, but then nodded. “You’re right. Getting possessive isn’t any good. I’m just in a weird mood. We can each take one, and then try to stay out of each other’s way? It’s a little bit cold for people to be outside now, so I’m probably gonna go look in the shopping centers after this.” She still didn’t sound the happiest about it, but she was trying.

"I do agree with you, but like I said, we were busy." It would have been one thing if they had just been gathering supplies and then waiting out the night, but the fact that they also had to repair any structures that they could find and hope that they weren't taken in the night was the issue. Even if the monster hadn't killed them, anyone who was captured was stuck in that dungeon for however long and were unable to escape. He chuckled at her suggestion. "That's fine with me. I do agree that it's too cold, even with our uniforms on." It was why he preferred being in the kitchen during this time of year. Well, he always liked being in the kitchen, but the heat was much more acceptable during the winter. "I'll make sure to stay out of your way then." He replied with a small smirk. stari_maga we can end it on your post next if you want or we can continue!

"Yeah, okay," said Sylvite. She gave one more long, overly dramatic sigh, but after that she finally settled down a little bit. "I'm not mad at you for getting captured. Just, like, magic, or the monster or something?" She'd blame luck, except it seemed like there was always something more to it than that. She could get past whatever she was feeling, though, or at least shove it down enough to get her work done. With one last nod and a hint of a smile, she took her first steps over towards the couple. "Sounds like a plan," she said.
