Alise generally knew well enough the difference between Mauvian and regular ol’ stray cat to not bother with the latter. Mauvians, after all, had stars on their foreheads, and could speak human speech, while stray cats… possessed neither quality (though she knew of the existence of talking buttons one could train a cat to use). Every now and then, however, the teen would run into a stray cat that seemed a little too self-aware to be just an ordinary alley cat, a little too clever to not be a Mauvian in disguise, or perhaps simply not fully ‘awakened’, in a sense of speaking. Whether it was the way they would linger and watch her sometimes, or the way some of them seemed to know the best way to get free food from the local seafood market, Alise had her suspicions that she secretly had allies of the feline kind that were simply going incognito, but otherwise were accompanying her along her ‘routes’. In reality, she was probably most likely very far off the mark, and they were just ordinary street cats, but bored as she was, the high schooler preferred to believe she had ‘cracked the code’, so to speak. So far, though, attempts at reaching out to her feline comrades weren’t going well, if at all, with every single cat she had approached taking off as soon as she got too close. Alise, of course, as hilariously stubborn as she was, would not be one to be deterred, and had taken up pursuit on the latest suspected Mauvian, chasing it into the back alleyway of a local business, before powering up and easily scaling the brick wall that otherwise blocked her way… though the cat was still faster, even against increased chibi senshi running speed. Of course, Lepus didn’t think about what lay on the other side, or that the cat would find a spot to hide where she couldn’t follow. Soon enough, she found herself staring down what was practically a jungle, a vacant lot full of overgrown weeds and brush, the cat nowhere near easily discernible, especially without an aura to track. Sure, she could spend all evening walking around trying to find it, but wouldn’t it be better to try to appeal to it directly (assuming it was, indeed, a Mauvian in disguise)? “Heyyy, come on, I just wanna talk~!” Lepus called out, half pleading, half whining.

She hadn't necessarily been out to find anyone in particular that evening. Her purpose for leaving the house had been somewhat less interesting and geared solely on acquiring more supplies before the evenings events. You see, this particular Mauvian wasn't necessarily interested in prowling the streets for adventure unless she was specifically asked to so and given her fearless 'leader' had vanished to lands unknown... It was safe to say she had been left to her own devices.
Consequently, the feline had been able to slip unnoticed down the suburbia streets, slip on to the next bus as another chittering group had jumped on, and had quietly disembarked at her stop. As convenient as her glamours could be they came with a time limit and unfortunately being caught in the midst of a transformation would do her no favours. Given she couldn't shift in to her more powerful form either, it was definitely safe to assume that she didn't have a back up plan either. Thus, the less suspicion feline form was her chosen mode of transport for now and when she drew nearer to her location she'd change.
Or that had been her intention.
...What she hadn't counted on was the bizarre scene that unfolded before her as a seemingly ordinary teenager transformed before her very eyes, leapt on to the rooftops, and appeared to pursue an alley cat.
Had she lost it?
Namielle had considered leaving the senshi to her own business but given the rather sudden transformation she did have to wonder if it was perhaps pertinent for her to remind the young lady of subtlety. This musing continued for a short while until she opted to bounce after Lepus. It wasn't difficult for her to follow either, she gave off an aura, a beacon for a Mauvian and it wasn't long until she found her once more.
Someone who had now deposited herself in the undergrowth and was attempting to uh...
"You know," she said finally, dropping gently down into the garden and padding towards the girl. "Most of the furry creatures round here don't talk back," she pointed out. "You might want to try food," she added as she peered into the undergrowth thoughtfully.
"Unless you've trained it to respond to you in that way in which case by all means, do carry on..."
She may not have been the feline Lepus had intended to follow, but the senshi had managed to find one. Well sort of, it might have been the other way round, but to Namielle that point would have been largely irrelevant!

If she were anyone else, Lepus may have felt a bit embarrassed to be called out like that by a Mauvian, caught in the act of trying to catch a regular ol' stray cat. Technically, there was a twinge of sheepishness, but it was quickly shoved aside by excitement, because while Namielle wasn't the cat the teen chibi had been chasing after, she was a Mauvian all the same, which in some weird roundabout way counted as a 'mission accomplished' in her books. Sort of. Kind of. Well, okay, maybe she couldn't really justify this as being all according to plan, but attracting the attention of a Mauvian was still enough of a win that Lepus was willing to look past the fact that Namielle was admonishing her. "I didn't bring any cat treats with me," Lepus said, "Etoile eats sweets anyway, so I don't really buy them..." " You're a 'furry creature' that's talking back, though," she pointed out, "And you gotta admit, some of these cats seem awfully too smart to be just ordinary strays..." Epine de Rose finally getting back to this, sorry!

"True," Namielle shrugged her shoulders and eyed the senshi for a moment. "But they also might be hiding on purpose," she pointed out. For all Lepus and Namielle knew, one of those might be a Chaos Mauvian who was very purposefully feigning ignorance until their companions arrived. It could all go very poorly for them both at that point as Namielle was most certainly not very good at combat.
"Or, they might not know who or what they are yet," she added with a small shake of her head. Namielle had woken up out of stasis, but there were other Mauvians who had been born into the role and had realised their sentience much later. How and why they woke up was still a bit of a mystery to Namielle as well and it did present an opportunity for research, though perhaps not quite as publicly as this!
"Either that, or you've simply found a cat that's smart enough to know how to manipulate humans which is honestly very possible if they've been on the street for long enough," she chuckled and lifted a brow.
"What exactly are you looking for anyway, or why are you looking for it, more precisely?"

"I dunno," Lepus said with a shrug, which was pretty true- she tended to act upon an impulse, without really bothering to give much thought to the hows and whys behind things. It made things... more lively that way, in her opinion. "I think Mauvians are pretty cool, with how you guys can talk and stuff. And also, like, how you can do magic? I think that's amazing." If she was familiar with the level of technological genius that some Mauvians seemed to possess, she'd probably be even more fascinated, but alas, neither of the ones she was properly acquainted with were at that point. "I want to meet all the Mauvians I can, to learn more about you guys." And also to convince more to come live with her, despite her mother not allowing her to keep pets, but she didn't tell Namielle that.

"You can do magic as well you know," she chuckled softly. "In fact you can do far more than lil old me can," she added and gave a wag of her paw. She leapt up to sit beside the senshi and peered at the felines she had been trying to coax. There was nothing odd that she could see about them, but then again she had heard of instances where Mauvians had awakened here rather than from stasis like her and until then...they'd been nothing more than ordinary cats.
"All the special things that I can do are almost entirely thanks to gadgets," she chuckled and gave her forehead a gentle paw. She brushed against the star and shook her head. She wasn't lying, that really was the only magic she had...though if there was ever a way for her to learn more then she certainly would have been open to it.
"If anything, that's how we all do it," she admitted and shrugged her shoulders. She had yet to encounter the concept of a Mauvian Senshi but should she ever discover one or their technology, then she would be happy to discuss it further!
"But hear me out here," she chuckled as she turned her attention back to Lepus. "Why not just ask those of us you do know to introduce you to more of us?" she asked curiously. "Then you can ask us whatever you want to!"
