With a gruff grunt Twine simple moved on to the next thing. "Well little dwarf hop if you are not sure you are fast enough there is only one way to fix that." Now Gama was sure Twine was grinning but not with pleasure towards her. Hopping out of the barn, Twine sits just inside the door. "Ok little hop we are going to race to those apple trees..." Twine indicates the towards the trees with her head. "...first one there and back wins." Drawing a line in the barn dirt she looks over to Gama and waits "Ok no problem." Gama says as she approaches the line. Twine smiles "Ready...Set...Go!" Like lighting Twine takes off leaving Gama in a cloud of barn dust.
Gama takes off seconds later. Already at a disadvantage Gama knows she will have to think fast or she was going to lose. Twine looks back at Gama but Gama was not going to just give up.
Twine reached the apple trees first which was a little disheartening for Gama but she had a plan. She just hoped it worked. At a dead run Gama lined herself up to be racing right towards Twine. Twine grinned at the small hop and a game of chicken began only Gama had no intention of turning and form the look on Twines face neither did she. Racing straight at each other Gama and Twine we're almost nose to nose before Gama leapt into the air and flipped right over Twine. With a loud thud Twine's balance was thrown and she tripped giveing Gama just enough time to make it to the apple trees and right next to Twine who had recovered from the fall. It was not much but ha Gama would take what she could get.
Racing off, Twine and Gama are neck and neck or more shoulder to shoulder but once again Gama would take it. With only half way to go she need a plan again. "Think Gama, think what can I do to get ahead." She though as her paws pounded the ground. Much to Gama's dismay Twine had a large burst of energy and took off. Gama knew deep down there would be no winning this race.
Only seconds behind Twine, Gama slid in the barn. Painting and excosted Gama lay on the ground. She had pushed herself farther then she had ever pushed and though it was a strong effort it was still a lose. Twine came over and smiled at Gama, she was still breather hard herself. "Good race small hop you have potential." This thought made Gama smile she lost the race but was proving that small hops could at the very least keep up.
